[Showoff thread] Ghorana's Travels.

Here's some new goodness. Although not entirely my work (I didn't recalibrate the alpha maps for use on today's WoW), I thought I'd share this cool zone with you guys.
It consists of three maps, protoypes of the three original battlegrounds. (Haven't finished exploring it).

Hey again, folks. Parental Control is up until tomorrow, so my fingers were ITCHING to get back to exploring, since I'd found something rather cool. Patch 3.3.5 or something will bring the Ruby Sanctum and a whole batch of mean black dragons attacking the Reds.

A powerful war party of the Black Dragonflight, led by the fearsome Twilight dragon, Halion, have launched an assault upon the Ruby Sanctum beneath Wyrmrest Temple. By destroying the sanctum, the Black Dragonflight look to crush those that would stand in the way of their master’s reemergence into Azeroth and to ultimately shatter the Wyrmrest Accord â€" the sacred bond that unites the dragonflights.

The battle that is to come will surely deal a crippling blow to the Red Dragonflight, however, it is up to you to stop this unprecedented offensive and defend the Ruby Sanctum. First you must face the assault of Halion's servants, Saviana Ragefire, Baltharus the Warborn, and General Zarithrian, before squaring off against Halion the Twilight Destroyer, a new and deadly force in this realm.

The Ruby Sanctum will feature 10- and 25-player content, Heroic difficulties and all-new rewards! Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to its release.

So, I went on a private realm where you get GM powers. However, I gave myself limitations: no using any GM powers like flying or megaspeed. Only my mount and my wits (oh, and the teleportation command, to port from one general area to another). I am fairly certain I can reproduce this on live with my shaman (since she has a flying mount, this dwarf did not).

Enough chatter, here's what the next instance will roughly look like. Interestingly, like Obsidium Sanctum, it's a huge map of broken mountains, with a small portion being the place where players will fight.

I Vanilla ice creame'd with some chocolate milk on it'd at the Chow is my love monkey! Maybe they get a little bored doing these zones?

Possibly, they do get a little bored. I've tried my hand at world building, and it can be VERY tedious when your object doesn't go where you want it to.

On a side note: here are a few more images from the Old Hillsbrad Foothills, from before BC. They're almost the same as the current version, with a few differences (like on my third screenie)

I also discovered a Scarlet Monestary version of ages gone by, which is hardly different than the Scarlet Monastery of today... except that it's in one piece (ie: Armoury, Cathedral and Library are all joined up). Hardly different to the normal one: the most striking difference is Herod's Room:

on my broken computers harddrive... sadly... i have some screenshots of the big big beautyfull castle that you can spot outside stormwind (well for me, thats how i saw it) bugged your way up on stormwinds cathedral (i took my way up there after a stormwind raid with Loial)
