As far as I looked science has only proven that sugar does not cause it physiologically, so it does not discount the psychological effects of the idea.

Just as it was tested with kids that no sugar and excitement causes hyperactivity while sugar and no activity causes..well, nothing.

So I have not failed my science scrutiny test.

However, you still marked yourself as failure.

Words can have multiple meanings and especially ones commonly used are not tied to specific scientific theory.

Is there not a chemical that is sugar but mirrored? Or was that oranges?

It had the same quality as the original one but a few bonuses, it's just cost a few million per unit or something.

Don't remember was it sugar but yes, there's the mirror molecules that might have totally different effects than their counterpart....which I have always found odd.

Surely, you have to know biochemistry and how it effects the body, best to test it in vivo.
