well, some of you know my crazyness (who could have missed it?) and some know that i have rerolled... wait for it... SHAMAN! yea, i am crazy. But i wanted to see if elemental is fun to play with... which means i have to level it up to at least...40. and thats a darn long way for me. but i will make it! so, to my question, how do you build up an elemental specc nicly, from lvl 10? starting with Convection and then concussion, elemental focus after that. but then? it is (ofcourse) an orc so at lvl 20 i will join you (us?).

Hmm... Is it not better to like specc Enhancement first, and when you have gained some levels you specc elemental?? And concerning good speccs, I have no idea, maybe Dot spec?

Elemental at 50 tbh.

Elemental is simply not feasible to grind with until you can dump atleast 40 points into it.

And.. why are you creating a new Shaman? One of the perks of Shaman is to be able to radically change your playstyle with nothing more than a talent change. Respec, regear, and give it a try.

I'd say that you should just re-gear the 70 tbh. Not hard.

I leveled Choohan from 1-60 as elemental and I surely enjoyed it. I'm also working on my 2nd shaman now and going enhancment this time and yes, it may be more efficient but elemental is surely atleast as much fun.

For gear I'd go for as much int as possible for starters since you'll burn alot of mana, and it gives you abit of extra crit. Try to get AH greens with int+stam or int+spirit for lesser downtime.

For build, if you want to level purly as elemental, I'd go this way
10-14 Convection
15-19 Concussion
20 Elemental Focus
21-25 Call of Thunder
26-28 Eye of the Storm
29 Call of Flame OR Elemental Warding
30 Elemental Fury (now it's starts to get funny)
31-32 Storm Reach
33-34 Unrelenting Storm (more mana = less downtime)
35-39 Lightning Mastery
40 Elemental Mastery
41-43 max out Unrelenting Storm
44 Elemental Precision
45-49 Lightning Overload (one of THE best talents in elemental, 10% damage increase)
50 Totem of Wrath (might be worth getting now since your crit% wont be to high and the extra 3% is a nice addition)
51-55 Tidal Focus (less mana spent of heals, more mana for bolts)
56-60 Totemic Focus
----At this point you'll go to outland and get a BIG gear upgrade and either go on slowly reaching Tidal mastery this way---->
61 Totemic Mastery
62-65 Healing Focus
66-70 Tidal Mastery

OR, you respec to get Tidal mastery, and the rest in elemental, but at the time you get here we'll probaly be in Northrend =)

well, considering how long time it took for me to get my enhance gear (which isnt good at all, and not even complete) ill probebly wont get my elem gear untill Northrend.

first the tidefury set, then maybe some PvP stuff... but first enhance panties! any suggestions on weapons and shields/offhands? Browsed the armory for Blizzards suggestions and they "told" me to get Terokk's Shadowstaff but i've heard that staffs are not good for shamans, is that true?

There's a good dagger that drops in SH from Ogre boss, and one from Dunrhold i think. For shield, go search AH for "of the sorcerer" or Draenei honorguard shield.

For PvE ToW >>> NS, you are there to DPS and buff casters, not save lifes

Staffs ain't "bad" for shamans, it just that you get Alot more armor with a shield and there's alot more competiton for staffs then for caster shields.

I decided to put my question here. Planning on staying to do some imba pvp at 60 with a warrior friend. I promised to be his healbot. So I kinda need ideas (a)how to build my talents and (b)maybe tips for good gear.

(a) How would something like 27/0/24 sound like?

If you are planning do heal as a shaman earth shield is, if not a must, a Very good thing. The healing recived and the additional chance to resist interupts from damage will come much in handy.

If you want to go for a more 50/50 spec I must suggest getting Eye of the Storm or you most likely wont be able to get any damage spells of apart from the occational shock.

And for gear, the best PvP gear you can get for 60 is *drumroll* the lvl60 PvP sets, otherwise go for whatever you can pick up from quests and instances in Outland since they far surpass anything you can get in Azeroth.

I would say the Outlands quests give very, very good gear for 60 BG's and such. A few pieces from Ramparts too.

But I would suggest you stay 59 if you like to play WSG and AB instead of fulltime AV. Playing with those 69'ers in WSG and AB isn't as fun as you'd think.
