Gnash

Name: Ozurok the Red Whirlwind
Level: 110

Tell us something about your (role)playing experience:
Hey gang! Nice to see you up and running again! ;D

Some of you may know me as Gnash. I've been a part of ORB since the Defias Days. The last few years I've been playing quite casually on a few characters. I've joined in on a few events after you all moved to Argent Dawn, but never could invest the time to become a stable member of the guild again.

Now, I'd like to join up once more on my orc, Ozurok. The introduction below is pending on Krogon's approval since I wanted to give my character ties to the fabled Redblade Blademaster but haven't discussed it with him.

And finally, please write a short story and/or (IC) introduction about your character:
Ozurok the Red Whirlwind is a blademaster, and former apprentice to Krogon Devilstep. Although he once saw great potential in Ozurok, the grizzled blademaster grew more and more frustrated by his student's brash nature and lack of discipline. Eventually, this accumulated into a heated argument in which Ozurok tried to strike his teacher down in anger. To this day, a scar running down his back reminds him of his folly.

In the decade that followed, Ozurok travelled the known world in search of adventure and worthy adversaries to hone his skills with the blade. Since the faithful day that he was bested by Krogon, he has not come across a foe that he could not defeat in battle. As time went on, Ozurok's hot-headedness got tempered by experience and wisdom. He started to feel overwhelming remorse on how he had treated his former teacher, and set out to uncover what had happened to him.

Which ultimately lead him to encounter a clan unlike any other...

Rhonya

Hey hello!
I merely wanted to say that Krogon at this point is at sea with the navy irl, until April. So he might not respond at all until then, if you're unlucky. So .. I'm not sure if he's the best tie to make right now xD

Hi Gnash! <3

In addition to what Rhonya has said, it's worth noting that Krogon the character sadly passed away during Warlords of Draenor. So that may be worth taking into consideration if you wanted a teacher/student relationship with him.

Now there's an old face I didn't think I'd see back! Nice to see you again, Gnash! :D I think it's suffice to say that you're more than welcome to seek out one of our officers or contacts for a little IC interview to help yourself into the guild! As the two helpful posts above stated, Krogon may be a little hard to reach (both IC and OOC) due to his situation, but perhaps there's a chance he can OOCly be contacted through either the PM system here on the forums or by giving him a poke on Discord. Either way, do feel free to give any of us a poke in-game as well! I'm sure Krogon won't mind having another student underneath his dead, old wings one way or another. ;)

Gnash

I was aware that he had passed away. The reason for a tie-in isn't that I wanted a student-teacher dynamic or anything. It's more that Krogon is (was) the one and only blademaster of ORB. I want to honor that legacy while giving my own little twist to it.

And shucks, at sea till April?! That's insane. I'm sure he won't mind then... :-X

Gashuk

Through the power of social media, I can confirm Krogon's consent! With a reminder that Krogon's deepest tenant regarded duty and serving the clan above all, rather than personal honour or glory.

So go ahead!

Also he is back in May, not April. :)
