The phone I use is 4 years old and I only changed the battery two times, other than that it does not have any visible scratches or cracks and the touchscreen works like the day I bought it. The only downside of it is that it uses Bada OS 2.0 instead of Android.
And I even dropped it once on stones screen down and it survived xD Samsung Wave 3 for the win!
