As with everything. There's good and there's bad.

There exists good rap, there exists bad rap.
Exists good music written before the year 1600, exists bad music written before the year 1600.
Exists good crime novels (even if they are really christmas shopping rare).
Exists bad disney movies, exists good disney movies.
Etc

And I fully understand not necessarily being a fan of major mainstream anime the past couple years. A lot of it has been atrocious. Even if it's getting better again. ... A lot of the vocal fandom are really creepy, which doesn't help it.
