I don't get the appeal of HOTS. For me it just seems like a moba with the fun and interesting mechanics stripped out.
Sort of wish I did since quite a few friends play it.

I've played one or two games and enjoyed smite. I enjoyed playing the monkey king fella and a god of bees i think. I suck at mobas, it's probably why i've played heroes a lil bit more than any other. Its familiar and has less stuff to worry about min/maxing etc

Smite is a great game, even though last I played it was like a year ago.

And yeah... I enjoy min-maxing and mechanics heavy games. Not always good at them, but I enjoy them.
Adore dark souls for that very reason, takes attention. Pay attention and it gets easy(er)!
And have sunk FAR to many hours into Dota2. Lovely game. So much bullshit with item interaction, skill interaction, etc. xD All of it based on bad original coding pretty much...

Smite is a great game, even though last I played it was like a year ago.

Quite a lot of stuff have happen last year in Smite.
Example, Ao Kuang and Sun Wukong was completely changed, their kit and general models were given to new gods and completely new kit was made for them.

Also, I play nothing but assault Mode, the local ARAM version.

I like Smite more then LoL because I find the third person view more interesting then the isometric view. Sneaking up on people is something you can actually do and tanks can really tank by standing front of people.
