Gengaar

Name: Gen'gaar Bloodstorm
Class: Warlock ( Fire... i do use demons, kill them to empower the flames)
Level: 100

Tell us something about your (role)playing experience: Beginner but eager.

And finally, please write a short story and/or IC introduction about your character: Gen'gaar, born in Azeroth and not Draenor the land of the orcs always felt like he was different from his kins. Since his childhood he was able to hear things.. voices... voices from malevolent creatures. Demons.

Often rejected from social circles he made himself friend with a few outcast warlocks that tought him a few spells.. how to not succumb to the words and etc.  But the orc made himself the sole ruler of his mind, learning most skills, spells and read manuals by himself. Dedicated into using demons and not being used by them to help the clan the clan his father fought for. The Bloodstorm.

Sadly for him... even his father rejected him.. and when he died Gen'gaar was grieven by the dead but knew he shouldnt be sad. He took care of his little brother Nhakrog, future bowman hunter. Someone who would have clearly a better future then him to Orgrimmar crossing the vast sea and searching for a way to help the Horde.

Using the dark fire, Gen'gaar likes to style himself as a Firelord. This also protects him from the hatred of the world against warlocks, users of demonic magic.

(( i have no more idea for now so i hope it is enough for an intro ^^ ))

Howdy, Gengaar! Thanks for applying. Don't worry about your experience level -- beginners are perfectly fine with us, and we'll offer you whatever support and feedback you need along the way.

I've given your app a read, and on the whole, it seems fine enough. Warlocks are pariahs in orc society, so do prepare for your character to not be treated too warmly by his fellow orcs at first -- though of course, should he prove himself worthy and loyal to the cause of the Red Blades, the sky is the limit!

I do have a couple of questions, that I'd be glad if you could answer, just to make sure everything checks out:

1- Your app mentions that your character is affiliated with the Bloodstorm Clan. Am I right in assuming that's the RP guild of the same name on Argent Dawn? I'm not familiar with their backstory myself, but given your character was born on Azeroth, I would ensure you make allowances for explaining where your character was raised in relation to the orcish internment camps, and the foundation of Durotar afterwards.

2- Your app doesn't make any mention about why your character would wish to join the Red Blade tribe. It would be worth considering that question, especially in relation to your character's motivations and beliefs, before you seek us out. For instance, a warlock could feel like a tribe offers him protection from enemies, or a safe haven where he can earn his way, etc.

If you can get back to me and provide a little more information on these two queries, I'd be quite happy to approve your application. Thanks, and best of luck!

Gengaar

Thank you for your reply Sadok !

I am well aware that having friends IC at first will be hard, but its a challenge iam eager to have. :P

OH ... yes actually i made the "Bloodstorm" surname and clan BEFORE even knowing about the Guild in Argent dawn. Honestly i'll change it and change it for something more neutral to all the clans and especially important ones like the Bloodstorm of AD.  So no worries ^^ I just liked the name. I will make a backstory of where Gengaar was raised in Azeroth (Eastern kingdoms for sure) when my bio will be "done". Again iam starting to use MRP since recently !

Can i tell why i want to join the Red Blades in this post or will i have to put more lines in the application ? Nontheless ill tell now.

Joining the Red Blades is a choice of safety indeed. Safety and improving a social circle for him and his brother. Having been chased from alot of places, Gen'gaar found a few groups but they all finally ignored his talents and person for warriors or shamans. Of course he knows that the Red Blades will favor the prefered warriors and shamans over him. But he feels that this group also knows that we have to unite against one common ennemy. The Burning legion that will come back.
Warlocks have this particular thing with demons, they know alot.. they know when they will come back and whispers..attrocious and horrible ones are often telling that not only Draenor with the current events.. but Azeroth will know a wrath even bigger than when Archimonde came. He seeks safety.. and seeks to defend his fellow orcs and saw this opportunity with the Red Blades. A clan worthy of joining.

Thanks for the response, Gengaar.

As a beginner, I would honestly probably recommend selecting one of the canonical clans to hail from, since there's a baseline in terms of lore that you can follow. Not that clan is the be-all and end-all either -- most of the clan structures and traditions were eroded within the internment camps, and most modern orcs don't have much residual connection remaining. The exceptions are the Frostwolf, Warsong and Dragonmaw Clans, who all avoided the camps for various reasons.

I would also be careful, in that case, about selecting too niche of a clan -- some of them, such as the Thunderlords and Stormreavers, are virtually eradicated in the present day. Blackrock, Warsong, Frostwolf, or even Bleeding Hollow or Shadowmoon are all decent enough options, for instance.

And that's a more than adequate explanation for why Gengaar would want to join the Red Blades! So with that said, consider this application approved. The next stage is to poke an officer or senior member in-game to arrange your in-character interview -- an opportunity for Gengaar to seek out the Red Blades, and for us to see your character in action!

Here's a list of relevant officers and senior members:

Best of luck, and... for the Blood of the Tribe~!

Gengaar

That is a good idea , i'll read more about the clans you mentionned and will arranged his "family" name and clan in the bio as soon as i am decided.

And could i contact you for exemple, would your name be Sadok in the Argent Dawn server aswell ?

Thanks for the approval. As my bio said i might again apply for my level 1 O:) (i'll start with him as soon as i have the Draenor pathfinder) Hunter , the brother of Gengaar.

All of the names from the thread I linked in the last post are our Argent Dawn names, with any accents required too. Or you can just type "/who orcs of the red blade" to see whoever is online at present.

Best of luck! If you are successful in your application, you won't need to make another for any additional characters, though you will require an in-character interview for each additional orc.

Interviewed and accepted by moi.

Additional note to any officers that while Gengaar has joined ICly, he is not OOCly within our guild roster until he messages the Irontusks to explain his g-quit. At that point, he can be g-invited, and it's business as usual.
