Thardok

Name: Thardok
Class: Warlock
Level: 20 and climbing!

Tell us something about your (role)playing experience:
I've been role playing for about 2 years now on Defias Brotherhood with zero prior experience, the first guild I joined was The Cult of Shadow and then I moved onto the SGE (Vuzembi)

And finally, please write a short story and/or IC introduction about your character:

During the initial raid on the Draenei at the city of Telmor, his deranged and psychotic father of the Blackrock clan, Trel'dok, enslaved a young female Draenei. His father, despite the rest of his clan's wishes took the Draenei back their encampment, and forced her to stay with them for the foreseeable future. It was only down to the evil act of rape that Thardok was brought into the world, where promptly after his birth his mother was slain and mutilated. Being born at the heart of the great purge of the Draenei, Thardok had a very tough upbringing. His father's ultimate goal was to create a weapon out of young Thardok, and was forced, beaten even, into training from an extremely young age. Aside from this, other Orcs his age and older would mock him regularly for his peculiar features and controversial heritage. All of this trauma caused Thardok to become a very reclusive, short-tempered and depressed youth. Aside from his fighting skill - he had very little to show for himself.

At the young age of 10, Thardok's father had him begin training in dark shamanism. At first, Thardok actually enjoyed it. This was the first time in his life that he had something to like. Slowly gaining power over time, this enjoyment faded and became a thirst. It wasn't until Thardok was about 16 that he became extremely addicted to fel energy. The bloodlust was bad enough. Always, Thardok would be channeling his magics to call forth a manner of familiars, and torment anyone who got in his way. It was at this time that he got revenge on his psychotic father, who bullied him from a young age and helped to fuel his addiction. Using different curses and corruptions over a few months, Trel'dok, went completely insane and committed suicide in order to escape the endless, nightmarish torment.

Over the next few years, despite how badly they treated him, he fought in the wars against humankind. He had no real passion for conquest or the horde, he fought solely to satisfy his addictions. As his addiction grew, he would channel even greater amounts of fel energy, sometimes he would even murder his own kind if they tempted him enough. Eventually, just as the second war ended, Thardok fell into a deep coma. The coma lasted six years, with an occasional awakening every couple. However he was in such a lethargic state that he slipped back into his seemingly endless dream. Whilst in a comatose state, he was found by alliance forces and placed in an internment camp that was in the mountains they called Alterac.

When he awoke, his powers in dark shamanism had seemingly dissipated, along with a lot of his prior memories. Looking around at the other Orcs, he noticed a lethargy among them and also himself. The next few years were a rather boring and lengthy chapter of his life, of course until the camps were liberated. This sparked new life back into poor Thardok, giving him a purpose. On his travels across the seas to Kalimdor, he heard of a new magic, shamanism, and of honour and respect. Although he has never studied it, he finds it very interesting. His old self did not leave him unscarred, however. Along with social reclusiveness, minor depression, and a short temper, he also suffers from paranoia. Whilst not overwhelming, it's power fluctuates, making him quite unpredictable at times.

After having lived within the high walls of Orgrimmar as a social nobody for a while, he wants to become a part of something. To relieve his depression and perhaps even meet new people. Hearing whispers of a tribe that may accept his unnatural heritage, he goes out to seek the orcs of the red blade.

Rhonya

Hey hello Vuzembi!

Happy to see your app here! :D I enjoyed reading it, think you succeeded in making a good, detailed history for him indeed. Though as you put it, he doesn't remember much of it? :) Should become interesting then. As I warned you already earlier, you might bump into a lot of IC issues with a halfbreed, especially if you will make him display warlock powers, a thing that is already shunned by both sides, which will only deepen it. But we'll have to see how it will turn out then! Good to see you're up to the challenge ;)

Give us a poke ingame, we'll be moving to Nagrand, Garadar tonight. Or any other day, what suits you best. Any orc can direct you to an officer, who are: Rhonya, Grogona and Rargnasha. And of course you can mostly find me in the channel, but you know that ;)

Thanks Rhon!

He still remembers some, things he doesn't remember include killing his father, and the atrocities he committed, along with a few other things.

Also, I'll come for an interview once I've levelled him a bit, due to RP gear and such things! So I'll see you then!

Many thanks,
Thardok
