Your Orc's Fighting style

Okiba

So i was pondering last night about fighting styles IC after some duels. And wanted to ask you guys how you see your characters fighting style, how does it look? how does it work? so i thought the best way to go about it is put up a forum thread and ask people to link videos of what inspires them toward their style and shows it off best!

Krogon's sword play (he's the dude in black armour): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfviAcCeMxY

out on the 'job', and because i love these videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1nqc7ZSjOM

you can show any style at all, be it archery, hand to hand or paticular weapons! hell, even magic if you find the right video!

Sadok

Sadok's magic fighting style:

When Sadok isn't using magic, his swordplay resembles this - a shambling inaccurate style that sometimes gets him by but mostly fails horribly:

i get the subtle feeling sadok was being humerous D:

Thrash'Nak

Its kinda hard to find an example of grog's combat style causes its brutal while being well smooth.. She overpowers her enemy and then a quick strike moving to the next, hard to explain but its quite clear in my head.. >.<
Nothing comes easy, and besides nothing easy is worth having.

Therak

For Theraks unarmed combat, something of a mix between this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwAOmLsRf5Q

and this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OBkmSvglUc

Armed, follows the same principle. Simple and efficient. Shorter sturdier dagger for parrying and stabbing. Longer knife for slashing and stabbing. Mainly aiming for inside of the arms, legs, gaps in armor to bring his opponent down so he can deal the finishing blow.

Edit:
Krogon, did he ever do some of these things?

Think, assess, act.

Trakmar

I can't find a video demonstrating it well, so I'll just explain here.

When using his axes, he always, first and formost tries to intimidate his target. He swings his axes with brute force, yet still very skillfully. He has watched how beasts fights, and I guess he has kinda adapted to that as well, as sometimes he likes to just let go of the axes and use his bare hands.

At range, it tends to be with the grace of a drunk and bland man.

We do not enslave - We tame

Morgeth

Morg fights dirty in close combat. Aims for the throat, the genitals and the eyes. She's not as much as a powerhouse as she's reckless and driven by emotion.
I want to be just like you. I figure all I need, is a lobotomy and some tights.

Tarag

Well all dead, but the style used to be more or less.
1:06-1:29 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CHjxlly6Tc&feature=related Not the same swiftness or grace or nothing, but same level off "after i finnish my drink" attitude.
After that it would switch to a more brutal anything goes brawl with axes and whatever else at hand included.
The kinda fighting where everybody ends up bruised and beaten by the end anyway.

off course with far less actuall thinking behind the actions, just wild punches and drunken fury.
(also, the music at the start off the third video i linked fit my Tarag Fighting music  :P)

Kozgugore

These pretty boys pretty much sum up Koz's preferred way. And then I'm particularly referring to Lurtz (into 0:50), that sexy motherfucker.

As for Gakrath, this would be the one without a moment of doubt. Down to the very stare and the dirty stuff. Be wary of some bloody scenes if you're not into that.

Mozrogg

I couldn't find a worthy video for the dude I imagine Moz' fighting like, however for those who have seen the film King Arthur with Clive Owen then picture Mozrogg fighting a lot like s hybrid between Bors and Gawain. Found the opening scene, Bors is the one thrashing his tongue lol and Gawain is the one with the long shaggy thick hair.

Thrash'Nak

Hmm, i browsed around for hours and figured it out..

From 2:00 until 3:00.. Well mostly the whole clip, but it involves guns and grog doesn't use em guns.. Shes the guy who haven't got his eye all fucked up.. I don't know this movie just a heads up.. :b

I'm achilles.. :)

This kinda reminded me when Krogon was teaching Grogona..

Gor'Thrak

#11
Finding a fitting video showing how Gor'Thrak fights is near impossible as he uses the same spells as most Death Knights do, but also the fighting style of a berserker.

In the start of a fight or a duel he sometimes tests his foe first, not going all out yet unless it's in an open battlefield. He's not the most graceful of all, and instead harvests his rage, becoming more enraged and violent as the fight goes on. His strikes are quick (Although not as quick as if he'd use smaller blades) and powerful, and he's willing to go far to deliver a blow to the enemy, trusting that the saronite armor and undead state will keep him safe (He does of course parry, dodge, block and so on when possible). That might very well be a possible weakness for the enemy to exploit though. Offensive is something he likes being, once he gets into real combat he does his best to force his opponent into a defensive position so that he can let out his fury crush the enemy with powerful blows.
Unlike many Death Knights he hardly ever summons minions to fight for him, since he prefers relying on his own strength as he believes that to be more honorable. What he uses the most of his spells is simply empowering his runeblade with either Frost or Necrotic energies before striking the foe, causing magical shockwaves to tear said foe up or causing a potential knockback if their blades meet. He's specially fond of Frost and wind magic, sometimes twisting the air around him to fill it with razorsharp shards of ice that cut deep and frost to freeze, mainly to annoy and make it hard for his opponent to concentrate (Numbing limbs, needing to cover the face from ice, etc.) At times he turns this into a blast instead, typically aiming for the chest/stomache region of the enemy.

There are several other spells and such that he knows, but those are rarely used by him. They're mostly just typical Death Knight ones that you can find in the spellbook.

Thrash'Nak

Sounds very typical death knightish to me, of course with a few exceptions of him being an old veteran berserker, but sounds cool. ^^

And BUMB! Post more combat styles! \o/

Orgash

Orgash is your typical brute, just charges in with relentless fury and overpowers his foes with brute force. Imagine Garrosh, only to a slightly lesser extent. It's hard to implement this IC, but the way I write him is that he's an orc that's bigger in build than most, like he towers above others. His physical strength is also fairly impressive, he's like the orc equivalent of the hulk, but other than that the only particular thing about how he fights is that he's very primal. He has very strong senses of hearing and smell.

I had a dwarf hunter, Midar, whose fighting style was more interesting. He was very hot-tempered so he'd just rush into the frontlines, fight with axes and and breathe out dragonbreath chilli, then he'd run back to a safe distance, shoot a few rounds then run back into melee.

Rhonya

Rhonya's fighting style? Err... None yet at the moment, really. xD Exept maybe some swinging with her axe, but that's something new she's learning from Grogona. It willget better later, once she has access to her powers again ;)
