A shadowy figure

The troll opened his eyes, slowly. Every part of his body hurt, a pain he had never felt before. His eyes peered through the damp and dark cave. At first, his eyes met nothing but darkness, and as he tried to move, he found himself bound by pain itself.

As he rustled through the underlying dirt, a vague flash of green light presented itself upon the walls of the cave, and as he turned his head, his eyes met those of an darkarmor-clad orc.

He let out a shriek in fear, but her hands were already wrapped tight around his throat, a grasp so tight, it felt like she was pulling out his very soul. As he clasped for air, fear painted upon his once proud face, the armor-clad orc let out a cough, and spoke with a harsh and ghostly voice.

I've seen those colors before.. Where is he?!

The last words were nearly spat out, and the troll, stunned by fear, was unable to let a single word slip his lips. All he could do was whimper, and the orc tried once more.

I asked you something, Troll! Where  is your Chieftan?!

The troll could nothing but faint. He had seen death, and he knew this was it. The orc, in a furious howl, drew her gauntlet through the Trolls skull, and into the wall behind him.

Weak and cowardly, like the rest of his kind. All shall pay, and all will die.

The orc grabbed the Trolls tabard, cleaned her gaunlet in it, and turned around, walking outside the cave. She looked up into the nightsky, sighed once, and pulled herself upon her horse. She patted its side, whispering a few words, and was gone.

Sadok

Nice to see that ol' Groshy's keeping busy! Still as rational and nonviolent as ever.  ;)

A well-written story. The imperative question is: where is this leading? Hmmm.

Grekthar

I'm wondering which unlucky sod of trolls managed to annoy her. So, any hints on who's tabard it is?

I feel like I'm the only sane one in this Tribe. And I have four elementals living in my skull!
