The subject makes this pretty obvious. Post your favourite books and or series of books her.

My favourite series is probably: The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel.

You want the long list or the short list?
Let's see...

His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman
The Dark is Rising Sequence by Susan Cooper
All the Darren Shan books so far, Demonata and Vampire ones
The series of books starting from Magician by Raymond E. Feist.
The Dragons of Pern collection by Anne McCaffery
Lord of the Rings by Tolkein
The Broken Sky series by Chris Wooding
The Belgariad, the Mallorean, the Elenium, the Tamuli, and the Dreamers series by David Eddings
The original and new versions of the Maximum Ride series by James Patterson
The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind
The Chronicles of The Raven, the Legend of The Raven, Elves, and the Ascendents of Estoria series by James Barclay

And those are just the series of books and authors I can think off the top of my head :) Kinda hard to pick a definitive favourite though...

I feel like I'm the only sane one in this Tribe. And I have four elementals living in my skull!

The hobbit.. by far the best book i've ever read. However i don't read much but damn that was good, currently reading the lord of the rings series and i'm liking it so far.
Nothing comes easy, and besides nothing easy is worth having.

A few of my favourites:

Beckett - Endgame, Waiting For Godot.
Camus - The Stranger, Exile and the Kingdom, The Plague.
Coetzee - Foe.
Conrad - Heart of Darkness
Fitzgerald - The Great Gatsby
Orwell - Animal Farm, 1984.
Salih - Season of Migration to the North.
Salinger - Catcher in the Rye.
Stoker - Dracula.
Tolkien - Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Small list, but I can't remember anything else off-hand.

If I really had to pick I´d go with the series: Earth's Children by Jean M. Auel
Why? Because aside from the general theme it's so detailed. I really like how the images are being painted. Definately worth a read.

A lovely book series, first book is a bit hard to get into, but once I was past about 150 pages, I couldn't stop.
Think, assess, act.
