IMPORTANT UPDATE

Time to update this information again. Yesterday most of the RBG group hit 1.7k rating. This means that when we get into battles we’ll be facing other teams of about equal rating. The fights are thus getting a lot harder than when we started out.

There’s a lot of interest in getting into these RBG and I have so far tried to fairly let people who want to try get in and then do /roll within the guild for each battle so that those who had to sit one out has gotten in again. This has proven an okay tactic for when there’s just one person that has to sit out. I fear, however, that it might not work if we have about 8 people signed up for 4 slots.

In order to keep up with the current rating and pressure of people interested in DPS I am going to have to start with requirements for this RBG that we run with the Warsong Blades. These requirements will involve having mostly season 10 honour gear (latest version). I don’t want to seem elitist, nor is it my intention to exclude people from something they really want to try out. As such I propose that we create another team for more casual RBG in which the current RBG’ers can join with their alts, for example. I’d like to hear people’s opinion on this, and if there’s anyone interested in leading those.

There’s also an initiative towards RBG with other RP’ers, as I have mentioned before. Have a look at the thread about it here: http://www.defiasrp.com/t3539-h-roleplayer-s-rated-battleground-group

The list for those who are currently getting invited (and will continue to do so) will be posted below. I’ve removed people who have (several weeks ago) expressed interest but never showed up for one, and those who have said that they won’t be participating for a few weeks. If you feel that you’re missing from the list, then send me a PM or whisper me in-game and we’ll talk about it.

THE LIST (Revised)

Morgeth (DPS) Warlock
Kozgugore (DPS) Hunter
Sadok (DPS) Mage
Krogón (DPS) Rogue
Groshnakk (DPS) Death knight
Muzjhath (DPS) Hunter
Raxxok/Unathi (DPS/Healer) Hunter/Shaman
Braggha (DPS) Death knight

As you can see, we are already far too many, and I have no idea how to smoothly solve the sorting into groups, since doing /roll is really clunky if all nine show up. Perhaps easiest would be to try and have two teams going. Those that gun for rating, and those that don’t. I’ll gladly listen to ideas or suggestions.

Grogok

The idea of two teams instead of one, seems like a good plan, when we have so many who wanna try it out. :)

Morgeth

I was thinking about the two team approach as well, the other being more casual. Perhaps it could be co-run with the RBG initiative so that there can be some more healers. Just need someone to lead it.

Grogok

Can't help you with the leading thing :P Mostly because i suck at PvP :P

Okiba

a second team would very adviseable. as for those in the first, when you have new members joining in in half gear who havent a clue, it can to be quite honest, hamper the whole team and have an effect on wins/rating.

Not trying to put anyone off, of course, but just "trying it out" can be detremental to those who are "doing it properly".

just my 2 cents.

Sadok

Some ideas concerning RBG rotation (Names reflect tonight's RBG turnout rather than any kind of peking order):

Based upon three nights of RBGs a week.
Option 1 - Two set slots, two rotating (one game each)
Day 1:
-Kozgugore
-Morgeth
-Sadok/Krogon
-Groshnakk/Muzjhath

Day 2:
-Kozgugore
-Morgeth
-Krogon/Groshnakk
-Muzjhath/Sadok

Day 3:
-Kozgugore
-Morgeth
-Groshnakk/Sadok
-Krogon/Muzjhath

Option 2 - Three rotating slots (one game each)
Day 1:
-Kozgugore/Groshnakk
-Morgeth/Muzjhath
-Krogon/Sadok
-?/?
etcetera.

Option 3 - Two set (rotating from day to day), two rotating (one game each)
Day 1:
-Kozgugore
-Morgeth
-Krogon/Sadok
-Groshnakk/Muzjhath

Day 2:
-Krogon
-Sadok
-Kozgugore/Muzjhath
-Morgeth/Groshnakk

Day 3:
-Groshnakk
-Muzjhath
-Kozgugore/Sadok
-Morgeth/Krogon
