So the topic has come up in Chat from time to time, so I am just making a post here to see if anyone would really be interested in getting a game started. What kind of setting and edition we use depend on who we get in I guess.

Now this I might be coerced into sinking my teeth into. Though I'm -very- rusty since it's been many years.... last time -I- played it, it was 3.5 ed.... and I've only played in the Forgotten Realms and Planescape settings D=

I'm open, however, to trying something new =)
There be more than four elements, there be five! Folk always ferget the element o' SURPRISE!!!

Tarag

i would be interested!

Therak

I could be interested, if we play 4.0

Now, as I work with the gaming society at my local uni I've got lots of adventures and GM stuff ready to go so I'll be GMing.

All you need to do is PM me at some point with your skype address (rather than posting it here, might not be secure!) and I'll add you in and go through character generation with you.

-General info-

  • For now, We'll be using the 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons rules. Sorry Gruth, but I can't stand 4th ed, though don't let that stop you if you don't know the rules I'll go through everything with anyone. I don't believe in excluding folk because they've never played before.
  • Generic fantasy setting. Possibly forgotten realms. Maybe Dark sun. Or Dragon lance. You'll see

General Character Gen.

  • As I'm leaving the actual setting a mystery and I have an extensive collection of rule books you can have any race or character for any standard setting. I even have a old edition of the warcraft RPG!
  • Have 'basic' core classes for now, as otherwise it'll be a rules nightmare
  • ((For advanced roleplayers)) In playing 'exotic' race or monster classes/races, none with a level adjustment of +2 or above. Particularly nasty looking ones might get attacked on sight or have particular mannerisms so be aware if you MUST play an orc/lizardman or whatever, I'll expect you to be a more sensible role player because you'll probably get in trouble IC due to being seen as 'monsters' etc.

..and more as I think of stuff. Feel free to ask questions.

Found a dice rolling thing!

Once I start getting a few players and details, I'll start setting dates/times for our games!

-----UPDATES---------

So far I have

Rargnasha: Cleric
Tazok: "Mercenary".
Tarag: Gnomish Sorcerer
Kiro: Rogue
Mazzy: ??

For characters what I need is a character sheet and character background. You're starting at level 1-2. regarding background I'll give you a benefit or drawbacks regarding it. hat should keep things relatively balanced. If you've not played DnD before or need help with the character creation process, just tell me and I'll guide you through it. All you basically need is a character concept "I wanna make a knight! Wooo".

We will start off with a simple dungeon explore. If it actually turns out well I'm quite happy to expand it to series etc.

Therak

I'll be skipping out of this, as I cannot stand 3.5 at all. Sorry.

Sounds very interesting, but I never played in D&D games :( Yes of course I know The Forgotten Realms and I've played The Buldur's Gates and Icewind Dale on my computer, but never played classic D&D with people at the table.
May I try with you and can you give me advice what I have to read for it?
