Tournament of the Blades

The orcs seem content to now openly split into their factions, each striving for power and influence. Perhaps it is time to see which of them is the strongest?

The Tournament of the Blades returns with a new twist. This will not be a contest between individuals, but a contest between factions. Darkwolves, Seers and Sythegore shall compete to see which faction is the strongest in a contest of arms.

If you want to compete, then you will have to join a faction before the day rolls round. Exact details of the form the contest will take, will be posted here soon.

Kozgugore

Arena-like battles, éh? Sounds like an interesting twist!

Hmm sounds fun :) but isn't it possible that this will make the factions 'dislike' each other more? ;)
Because orcs are green..Doesn't mean they can do photosynthesis..Or can they?

The part you've all been waiting for - The rules

The Tournament will take place in Nagrand Arena, a great orcy setting. I'll try to ensure that there are warlocks present to teleport in anyone who can't make their own way there. This is going to be dangerous stuff and it's more than likely that a few spectators might get caught by the odd stray fireball. All adds to the fun when not just the losers, but some of the crowd are wiping the blood off.

There will be three events;

Event 1 - Team battle.

This will be a series of fights between two teams. The size of the teams will be decided on the day (depending on the turnout from each faction) but will probably be either 2 or 3 orcs strong. There will be one team from each faction. Each team will fight the the other two until there is a clear winner.

Event 2 - Champions

Individual battles, one on one. Each faction will enter its two best fighters. They will fight a series of contests to decide the winner.

Event 3 - Last Orc Standing

This is the big one and any member of a faction can take part. It's every orc for themselves and the winner is the one left standing at the end. Here you can expect half the crowd to get injured too, so watch this one at yer own risk.

At the end, the faction which has won most events, will be declared the winner. If there is a tie, with the factions winning one event each, then we'll get champions to fight a mini three-man last man standing to decide the winner.

I'm hoping that this will be a lot of fun and the bigger the turn out we get the better. If you are not going to take part, then it should be great fun to come and watch. If you want to take part, but are not in a faction, then get yer backside in gear and join a faction before the day of the contest.

Last word, it would help a lot if the factions can decide on possible teams and champions before the day. You might even want to hold your own faction contest to find your best fighters. Remember however, that we can only have a 3v3 battle if each faction has at least 3 people turn up. Remember too that the Last Orc Standing contest is open to every faction member at once. It could be that the faction that wins that one is not the one with the best fighters, but the one with the biggest turnout.

;D
