Mission imKozible

Therak

The salty smell of the ocean washed over Therak in the pre-dawn aboard the Hellscreams’ Boot. In the distance, Orgrimmar was visible. The fires of its forges and braziers giving it a look more like a demonic castle from a story, then the capitol of the Horde.
A bad omen for his mission, if there ever was one.
As if summoned by that thought, the gentle creaking of the ship was joined by the sound of plated boots. As two hulking, armored figures walked up from behind.
”In the name of the Warchief! You're arrested on suspicion of treason!”
The Kor'krons' voice was loud enough to be heard over the creaking ship, and the waves. But not so loud as to alert the lookout or helmsman, neither having noticed the orcs on deck yet.
As Therak turned, the other of the Kor'kron stepped forward, reaching out to grab him, and ensure there'd be no resistance.
”Turn, one hand reaching for the egg in a  pouch, use the other hand to grab the Kor'krons wrist, twist it, using your body as leverage to break it. Crush the egg in your hand, and let the ground down powdered glass leave your hand in an arch towards the eyes of both Kor’kron.”
The thoughts rushed through Theraks’ mind as he completed the actions, ignoring the snap of the wrist, followed by the hiss of pain from the Kor'kron.
”Step in, use your hip as leverage to heave him over the side of the ship, heavy armor should ensure he's not seen again. Duck low to avoid the swinging fist, use the momentum of your movement, to grab the other one and pull him with you over the side”
The water hit Therak like a punch. That is, if a punch was cold and wet. His armor was dragging at him, making him heavy, but still. He was better off than either Kor'kron, their plated armor quickly pulling them down to the seabed, offering them a watery resting place.

The swim to shore was anything but pleasant, the sun had risen three fingers width over the horizon by the time an exhausted orc crawled up on the shore of Durotar.
“Calm, think! Unlikely anyone saw or heard the fight. And if they did, they’ll think me as dead as the Kor’kron.”
Therak got to his feet, drawing deep, ragged breaths, looking around. The shore was empty except for some of the crawlers that always populated the area. No sign of any orcs, or any other humanoid. By his guess, he’d be an hour’s walk from Orgrimmar, two if he took the road.
“Prioritize! I need water, then a disguise. It’s possible my description has been passed to the guards. I have a small stash not far from Sen’jin. If the trolls see me, it’s not the end. They’re not on the friendliest terms with the Kor’kron.”
The small stash was still there, just a robe with a hood, giving him the appearance of a Warlock. A ritual dagger strapped to his waist, with his real weapons hidden under the robe, his normal armor stashed under the rock instead.
“Security is heavier at the main gate, the west entrance, into the barrens is safer, it’ll take until nightfall to get there, but it’ll be in my favor.”
A few coins bought him a waterskin in the village, and having filled it. The robed orc began his trek into the Barrens.

Night was falling as he finally reached the small bridge leading to the western gate. The two bored guards just waving him on, he wasn’t the first Warlock to dislike crowds, and take that gate, and he wouldn’t be the last either. The dry air of the Barrens, was exchanged for the thick humidity of the Valley of Spirits, few enough were out at this hour. The tension of the city so thick you could cut it. Few wished to explain what they were doing out after nightfall to the Kor’kron.
“Think Warlock… You’re a power hungry maniac… You hate all others, they’re beneath you. Unless they’re more powerful or important, then you’re their best friend. Keep scowling. Glare. If the goblins won’t get out of your way, you’ll just trample them!”

It was obviously working, as Therak managed to get to the Drag without trouble. No longer the dark, seedy and dangerous alley he had once known like the back of his hand. He still easily found the door to the house where his friend lived.

“I’m taking quite a risk meeting you… There’s talk that two Kor’kron went missing off a ship you were on…”
She watched Therak over the edge of her mug, frowning.
“I know, but the alternative was to let them bring me into the dungeon. And that would have gotten ugly real quick. I had little enough choice…”
Therak was sitting opposite the female. In his hands was a bowl of porridge, waiting for it to cool enough to eat.
“You never do… Do you…” She sighed, putting the mug down. “Look, I don’t have all the details. Krom, remember him? The one who’d never stop eating? Well, he’s a grunt now. He saw your Chieftain being dragged off. He refused orders to burn a neutral Pandaren village. And then they took him off to the dungeons. I don’t know much more than that, nothing’s been said of when an execution is and I know that he’s still alive…”
Nodding slowly, Therak put the now empty bowl down on the table, thinking for a moment.
“Any chance Krom could get a message to him, just a small note? I know it’s a risk… But it would mean a lot to me…”
The frown on her face said more than any yelling could have, but eventually she sighed and nodded.
“I think so… If I said it was for you…” She sighed again. “Therak… What’s going on? Just how bad will things get? I’ve patched you up enough times in the past. I’ve held on to things for you. Spirits know you’ve done enough for me and the children. But it’s getting out of hand here. I just simply can’t be suspected of treason. It… It would be best if you didn’t come back here… Not until things have worked themselves out. It’s too dangerous; you may be used to it. But we’re not…”
Nodding slowly, Therak smiled faintly.
“I understand, just let me borrow paper and such, and I’ll be gone… And thank you. You’ve been a great help over the years.”

QuoteChieftain.
The tribe is safe, and working on a way to get you out.
You are not forgotten.
Eat the note to hide it.
Lok’thar!
//Therak

Having left the note, trusting it would find its way. And switched clothes from the warlock robe, into a set of leather armor he hadn’t used for years (Damn thing had shrunk over his stomach; he’d have to find a better way to store it). Therak made his way out the western gate again.
“Can’t take a ship controlled by the horde back to Pandaria. Need another solution. No neutral ships going there yet. One option left. He owes me. I’ll end up owing him… But it’ll have to do. Can’t do much more in Orgrimmar anyway…”
With a heavy sigh, Therak set his sights on Ratchet.

OOC Note:
This happened today, Therak managed to get on a boat late last night.

((I told you you would not do the "easy choice", now, how to get someone out of a dungeon in Ogrimmar? Damn, if you pull it off they can make a movie about it, just need a title... and don't Orc execute prisoners? especially traitors?))
