Is it possible....

This ones just so people can go over RP ideas with others and see if it could actually work properly. This is to help out newbie Rpers like myself and a few others.

I'll kick things off.

Do you guys think its possible for an Orc to be raised as a Forsaken? The Forsaken are a collection of raised corpses, they appear human because that was the dominating group in Lordaeron, but you do get Forsaken RPing as undead high elves....so since the Undead came from Lordaeron and the orcs were there round about the time of the Undead Plague, and there would still be orc corpses there, from wars past and the camps...

Do you think it would be possible?

Just because it isn't specifically stated that something didn't happen, it doesn't necessarily mean that it can happen (i.e. just because something is figuratively -possible- doesn't make it a good idea). I'd be wary of playing such an esoteric character - the mark of a good RP character (and a good RPer) isn't a checklist of 'unique' attributes, it's about playing a character well. I of course appreciate the irony of the situation given that Sadok is an orc mage (lollore) that studied in the Undercity (hypocrisy), but I don't see what an undead orc Forsaken brings to the table other than OOC controversy - I'd generally stay away from any half-breed character without a solid basis (important NPCs at least) on the lore.

That's my opinion, at least.

Regorn

What I can find out:

Val'kyr can only raise Humans to undead, meaning no Orc have been raised sence WC:3

During WC:3, Orc left when the plague started right? Meaning if any whould be infected by the plauge AND be libirated by Sylvanas, the odds whould be so low it ain't worth to RP

so I say nay, you should not RP a incridibly small miniority, the odds of you being one of that tiny minority is silly small

Hmm...I hear what you're saying...
Now that I actually think about the idea, I can see that it's a bad idea :)

Okay, who's got the next "is it possible" question?

I'll post a hypothetical concept just for the hell of it.

There is an established precedent of orcs joining the Argent Dawn/Crusade:

Hypothesis: An Argent-affiliated orc unwilling to fight the Alliance but happy to belong to and contribute to the Red Blade tribe (motivated by bettering the tribe, his race, Azeroth itself). Obviously, there would be tension from various tribesorcs about this conflict of interest (which would be intriguing to see, personally). Would such a character be compatible in the Red Blade tribe without abandoning his Argent philosophies? (Namely independence from Horde/Alliance, focusing on bettering his world rather than his faction)

Please discuss. I have a feeling this could go either way.

Regorn

If any orc whould not obay the Chiftain he have 4 way to go (this being the Order was to fight the allience)
1. Fight the Chiftain, claim chiftain titel
2. Obay and hope he forgetts about it (disshonor amount: Huge)
3. Flee/leave (disshonor amount: Huge)
4. Die (disshonor amount: Huge)

I say that if some Orc whould join and not obay the chiftains order, he whould not last long

Kozgugore

I actually think AD orcs would be welcomed, at least by Koz. Koz's main interest is in making sure there's a world left for the orcish race to live in in the future. Fighting the Scourge (used to) includes that as well. In fact, for a long time, I was thinking of making an AD guild back in the days with Koz, should OotRB fail one day. Or at least make him AD-aligned.

Wasn't Rarg quite AD aligned? Or at least AC in Wrath?
Even if he and Koz did but heads sometime about attacking settlements.

Mazguul

As I recall, yes Rargnasha was/is. Though as I also recall he tended to put the tribe first. Mostly he tried to influence decisions so that his 'morals' were not compromised - he did on occasion refuse to partake in certain events/ campaigns.

There are a few orcs in the Tribe who already would rather 'better the world as a whole' - Maz included - and as such an AD aligned orc would be a curiosity to most (rather than someone to be loathed) or perhaps they would find more kindred spirits than they may have first presumed.

Still - I can't talk for all orcs. Some in the Tribe would find the very idea abhorrent!
There be more than four elements, there be five! Folk always ferget the element o' SURPRISE!!!

Morgeth

<_< Yes, some of us might do more of the stab-eti-stab before trying to understand. Morg'd most likely be grossed out by the idea, and believe it unnatural. Thankfully she's not that bright and hasn't really wrapped her mind around how others view it!
I want to be just like you. I figure all I need, is a lobotomy and some tights.

Lars

Well... any Argent Alligned orc would be happy that Muz is MiA as it would other suffer harsh looks towards the "human lover" (insert different word at "lover") at campfires.

Tarmod

In a RPing guild on Darkmoon Faire I use to play on, the leader of my RP guild was an Orcish Warlock roleplaying as an Undead Orc, so I think as long as you make your Undead Orc's class something dark, like a Rogue, Death Knight or Warlock, it'd fit in a bit better. Plus, I do expect an Undead Orc is possible. After all, look at Orcish Death Knights: they're undead.

just found this today...thought it -may- be useful in any orc doing an AD alignment thing.

so to recap the questions thus far. Forsaken player rping as undead orc.....not really.
AD aligned orc in tribe *wiggles hand in air in a horizontal manner* could go either way. Depends on how much of an AD alignment you're rping I think...

Okay, who's got the next question?

I feel like I'm the only sane one in this Tribe. And I have four elementals living in my skull!

Regorn

I don't play anymore but considering I love lore in all I make up a question for ya

1.
What is the diffrence betwin an Ancient and a Demon?
We seen Mortal becoming half-demons (Illidan and Fel Blood elf (partly Fel Orcs as well))
Can a Mortal, when exposted to "correct" magic be mutated to a half Ancient?

2.
After life, What is the diffrence betwin the "Light" (priest and Paladins), Spirit Realm (Shamans) and the Nether(the rest unlucky sods XD )
"Names does not matter, only who you are" - An old Friend from past, Thar'grash Thunderfury

Grekthar

In answer to question one Regorn, I think Malfurion might be a case in point for the ancient thing. /shrug

As for point two...the Light is the Naaru so the guys who die for that get sucked into there I think, the Spirit Realm is pretty much our world but for ghosts (think maybe something along the lines of the Emerald Dream maybe), and the Nether is well...the Nether.

Anyone else got any theories on these points?
