Morgeth

"Wha's wrong w'me?"
The whimpering sound of her voice brings a shiver down Morgeth's own spine, because it sounds so weak. Too weak. A pair of large, yet soft fingers move about her sweat-covered forehead, and a deep sigh is heard, when the female tauren leans in soothe the young she-orc.
"It is the child, Morgeth."

At first it had been about simple things, easy to ignore. A spell failing here and there, or just not being able to feel that heated rush of power surging through her veins as intently as before. But as time had passed, so had her problems grown worse, and it had finally become time to confess that she - one of the few warlocks accepted within the red blade tribe - could no longer wield her fel magics.
To some it had seemed like a blessing of sorts, but Morgeth - knowing her own "arts" - was aware that things could never be that simple. Such power does not simply go away, especially not since she never put any real effort into cleansing herself properly.
It felt strange, moving about without the odd comfort of knowing her own taint. A feeling of abandonment, as if being betrayed by her own corrupted body, had settled in the pit of her stomach. And these pains, creeping up on her so randomly, were they in any way harmful to her pup? She had sought the council of a familiar tauren face to give her the proper answers, and ending up in a makeshift hut - still being reconstructed since the alliance attacks - the warlock blinks up towards the brown eyes gazing down to her.

"M'pup? Be 't in danger? I ain't.. givin' birth or anythin' yet, right?"
It felt silly, idiotic even, to ask such a question. Wouldn't she know, if she was giving birth? All the mothers she had asked about these sort of things had all nodded, mumbled something about "a mother knows" and that had been about all the help she had been able to assemble. Nervously caressing the engorged stomach, the large orc bites her lip with an unsure glint to her dark eyes.
The female tauren, going by the name of Avanah, gives a meek smile, whilst shaking her large head.
"No, no. It is not time for that just yet, young one. However, I do believe that it is your child that is keeping you from your powers. You know of the spirits, yes?"
The warlock's gaze narrows, and her teeth grit in an attempt to ignore pain, as well as worry, whilst she aims a quick nod up to the furred creature.
"Yah, I know o' th'spirits. I ain't some.."
Morgeth cuts her own words short, as to keep herself from flinging any angry accusations towards the seemingly mellow tauren.
"Yes, of course."

Another smile touches the soft outlines of the gentle faces, and Avanah moves her large hand down to grasp the orc's smaller, green one. Gently squeezing the tainted fingers, she leans in as to share something in confidence.
"I do not know much about your orcish views on the spirits themselves, but I will share with you my thoughts. In a simple manner, we could just say that.. I believe that you own body, maybe with the aid of those spirits, are protecting the pup. You are nearing the date of its birth, young one. And you have always expressed to me that you do not with for it to share in your.. corruption."
Both hands increase in their respective clench around one another, but as the she-orc inhales to answer, Avanah interrupts her with a glance.
"Stay calm, because there is no worry. These pains you describe could simply be the collective force of all that power in fel wanting to resume its position within you. I am afraid, though it might be a good thing, that until your child is born, you will always have a hard time wielding your .. abilities. It might even prove impossible."
The warlock lowers her gaze for a moment, contemplating these words with a low grunt. It seemed likely enough, despite her utter lack of communicating with the spirits, they had indeed helped her before. Peering up to the tauren from the corner of her eyes, she grits her teeth.

"An' when th'pup be born?"
For some reason, it doesn't surprise Morgeth how Avanah's eyes grow just a little bit darker - a little bit more sad. The softness of the hand around her own lessens, as the tauren shakes her head.
"I am not sure, Morgeth. With any luck, the spirits will keep your powers at bay to such a length that you will grow to get used to them again. Hrm. Think of it this way, the fel will either return to you in the shape of small drops of water or..."
The powerless warlock snarls, finishing the words with an angry sneer.
"'twill be a feckin' tidal wave."

((Maybe not a very impressive story, but I got bored and wrote it down a bit quickly. Maybe too quickly, since I haven't bothered checking for spelling errors! <_<))
