This is me testing the shoutbox, because shouting is a great stress relief and it would be a shame if it doesn't work.

Drakohn

Name: Drakohn
Class: Hunter
Level: 25

Tell us something about your (role)playing experience:

Hello!   I would like to submit my application to the Orcs of the Red Blade as it seems like a fantastic guild and I believe I would make a great member.   I have spent the past few days researching the guild’s requirements, brushing up on orcish lore, and leveling up my hunter in order to apply.
I have been seriously roleplaying since Diablo 1, and was a fanatical RPer during the WoW vanilla days but stopped playing around mid-TBC.   I’ve spent the majority of my time playing Alliance but grown tired of the general puerility that plagues the faction and so would love to try Horde.   Having never genuinely roleplayed an orc before, I find the overall depth of this race’s lore to be as inviting as I do intimidating.   As such, I would like to keep my character’s backstory as concise as possible while still maintaining compelling story dynamics/RP interactions with other players.   I will leave a short-story for my character but I am very open to constructive criticism or advice.   :) Please enjoy!

Drakohn’s story:

Drakohn’s eyes widened with shock and terror as he felt the crossbow bolt enter his shoulder.   The steel instantly fractured bone and tore a painful fissure into the sinews of his arm.   A crimson fount of blood erupted from his wound to blemish the perfectly white snowbank in which the young tracker had been crouching.   He howled with an agony made deeper by the shame of knowing the one he had hunted for the past fortnight had just lured him into an obvious trap.
A more experience hunter would’ve have fled for cover into the copse of trees, but Drakohn lacked discipline and training.   The pain and anger overwhelmed his senses and he collapsed into the snow, clutching the shaft of the bolt that had penetrated his flesh and groaning in delirious agony.
As he bled profusely into the earth, a shadowy figured emerged into the clearing and approached him.   He was a tall, grizzled orc with long grey hair and keen eyes.   His name was Ro’zag, and he was a master tracker of the Frostwolf Clan and a veteran of the second war.   He stared down at Drakohn with disapproval as the boy writhed in anguish before him.
â€œThrom-ka, my son,” he hailed, his tone laden with irony, “you’ve been tracking me through these mountains for nearly half a moon, but I’m afraid I grew tired of pretending I did not know your exact location that entire time.   Clumsy as a kodo.”
â€œYou shot me!” Drakohn growled through clenched teeth.
â€œI did,” Ro’zag agreed as he lowered himself into a squat.    â€œYou broke cover and made yourself an easy target.   I deemed it the best way to teach you the gravity of such a mistake.”
Drakohn’s hot breath created columns of steam in the chill as he heaved desperately for air.   His father slung his crossbow over his shoulder and reached into the oiled leather traveling bag he kept at his hip, withdrawing linen bandages and a container of healing ointment.
â€œSlow your breathing down, son.   Focus on the pain but do not reject it.   It is Gar’mak, anguish, and it is as much a part of our people as the elements which shelter us.   Learn to embrace the pain, and above all…” Ro’zag gently intoned as he firmly yanked the bolt out of Drakohn’s shoulder, “…make yourself one with it.”
Drakohn’s tortured howl echoed across the slopes of the mountain.
Four years later, when he  thought back on that day, he could still feel the strength in his fathers hands as the old orc hefted him to his feet after binding his wound.   Ro’zag would teach Drakohn everything: how to survive in the wild, to properly draw his first bow, to silently stalk his prey from the shadows, and to uphold the honor of his ancestors.
After fever claimed his father’s life, Drakohn continued surviving on his own on the outskirts of civilization.   When he was twenty seasons old, news of the Horde’s war to maintain dominion over its territories inevitably reached him, and he was incited by the prospect of glory in battle.   He would pay tribute to his father’s memory by spilling the blood of those who would threaten his people, just like in all the stories of the war Ro’zag had told him over so many a fire lit night.
Now, as he weaved his way through the overwhelming crowds of Orgrimmar, Drakohn could still feel a dull ache in his shoulder where his father’s bolt had struck its mark years before.   But it was a comforting pain, one that hardened his resolve and calmed his nerves in the vast ocean of unfamiliar faces.
In his hand he clutched a piece of parchment he had found on his long travel to the capital of the Horde, one that called for orcs such as him to come forth and join together to defend the sovereignty of their civilization.   His stomach was empty, and what little gold he possessed had been long-since been pilfered by cutpurses, but Drakohn’s heart was filled with a purpose: to seek out and make himself a member of the Orcs of the Red Blade.

Thanks so much for reading!   As you can tell, I still have a lot of backstory to flush out, but I hope what I have is enough to earn me consideration for an in-character interview.   I haven’t created a surname for my character because Drakohn is still very young and it’s my understanding that orcs earn their last names through great deeds on the battlefield.   Anyways, thank you again for your consideration and have a great day!

Rargnasha

A great story! Looking forward to seeing your orc in-game, while the story briefly mentions that he wants to seek out the Red Blades, it doesn't mention why - Something you might want to think on before the IC Interview - Which you can get by poking one of the following orcs.

Rrosh'tul Grogona.
Thur'ruk Rhonya
Thur'ruk Sadok
Varog'gor Krogon
Chieftain Rargnasha

We're currently stationed in the Bloodgulch in Twilight Highlands, so you might need some help getting there - Or be ready for a rough journey!
Appendix means... What?!
