Arkail, in the nordic countries (I believe it is) we have all agreed to a rule that we shouldn't be required to show ID of any kind to cross the borders.

Schengen
It's treaty that border control is a bit "meh" with other Schengen countries. Switzerland, Norway and Iceland is not part of the EU but still signed the Schengen treaty.

England/UK do not like the Schengen at all, they argue that island should be excluded from Schengen and thus never signed the treaty.

As Regorn put it. Schengen. In Western Europe it's the UK (and Ireland) that are the super special snowflakes and aren't members. Before this Monday I could jump into a car and drive to Italy without having to show my ID once at any border.
Then in Scandinavia we've had laxer border checks for a full fifty years between countries.

Sadly, our politicians are absolute tool's; Which is probably why the don't like it. Not that i've heard anyone mention it recently but I wouldn't be surprised if Mister Cameron was against. But then again for such a well educated man; hes an idiot.

In my opinion, ID Controls are good. Seeing as you know... Sweden takes in shit tons of ISIS fighters and just terrorists in general, so it's a good start. Note that I have nothing against immigrants, I just think it's going a bit overboard :3

I'd be surprised if 0.05% of the refugees were affiliated with ISIS in any positive way. Most of them likely became refugees before ISIS was a thing.
Do we take in lots of people who don't understand our culture? Yes.
Do some of those maybe have a difficult time imagining that a woman here who walks around alone isn't "open" for everyone? Yes.
That's something we have to deal with and -educate- (Preferably quickly).

Grouping said behavior with a horrid group who likely have their dogmatic belief sprung out of Saudi thinking... Not good at all and pretty stupid.

So maybe there's come 10 ISIS fighters into Sweden as a sleeper cell or two. In a sum of 160k people that's such a tiny number it's not even a statistical error. (It's 0.00625%)

Screaming about ISIS while being silent about say, Saudi is also fucking terrible. Saudi is pretty much as bad. They just did their warring 80 years ago. Now they just have a rule of what we'd call terror and suppression while exporting their ideology to fringe groups in other countries.

Breaking up the Schengen is HORRIBLE. We need a better EU cooperation, not worse. This should have been handled months ago at a European Level. Not had countries pulling in more different ways than there are nations.
The problem between Sweden and Denmark stem from the governments not communicating and using the other one as a whipping bat for internal politics. Then driving polar oppisite ways on one issue.
Add to that Swedens PM being an idiot who ignored warnings from pretty much all departments in March/April about the numbers that were likely to come, and resources not being there for it. Then against better knowing "We can take everyone" in August. Until "NOOOOOOOPE!" Now. Yeah... Fucking bloody glorious idiot.

What's happening now is panic because a person didn't listen to advisers and didn't want to be seen as being the slightest bit racist which some on the left might have accused him of if he had had a bit more moderate approach "we'll welcome to our ability".
Had all of Europe taken that approach (Those taking as few as possible haven't either) this would hardly be an issue. Even if all ~4 million Syrian refugees came to the EU that'd be about 1% of the total population. Absolutely within power to handle both economically and demographically and with space.

So yeah. Panic because shortsightedness in government leading to at least temporarily revocations of rights. Fuck that.

There are many, many things that I disagree with politicians about in the UK; but I.Ding people at borders, is really not one of them and something I find quite sensible.
