The Campfire / The Crash - Mazhga
May 19, 2020, 06:25:16 PM
A little 'bit' delayed story, from the start of BFA. Some of it had been sitting unfinished on my ipad for a while, so I decided to finally finish it, along with a quick drawing.

The Crash

Current

It was early in the morning, the sound of the waves washing upon the shore, and the distant sound of seagulls was all that existed. The waves often brought things ashore, and today was no different. A body lay at the shoreline, the waves washing over the frail, thin, and malnourished looking body. By its side was a large white worg, desperately trying to awaken its master with its whimpers, and licks upon their face, but to no avail. Soon the worg stood, malnourished too by the looks of it, but less than its master. It howled loudly, but the only attention it got was from hungry seagulls, eager to bite into a fresh morsel. They received a warning growl, and the quick snapping of a maw in return, and soon left the body as it was. Desperate as the worg were, it pulled it’s master further ashore, frantically trying to keep them warm by laying itself atop of the body.

2 Weeks Earlier

Mazhga was laying in the bed she had claimed as hers upon the Sea Cucumber, sleeping soundly. Malakai laid by her side, the smaller female barely noticeable from the giant white body of the frostwolf, which never left her side.

Having found respite and comfort in laying in the bottom of the hull where she could hear the waves wash up against the hull of the ship, and even feel them. It was the only place she had found, where she had been unable to become sea sick, oddly enough. Yesterday had been quite wild; the she-orcess had found the rum barrels, and one mug soon became two, then three, and four, before she finally gave in to the alcohol, and fell asleep.

Thus she had easily slept through the ruckus upstairs, and it was first when a loud crash, followed by a splurge of water onto her face, she awakened. ‘Mrhh, just a moment longerâ€"..’ she mumbled, rubbing her eyes. The whining and growling of Malakai soon got her attention, though, and he got her to at least look around, and for a moment she couldn’t believe what she was seeing.
A hole?
She thought, as she stared bewildered at the hole which now was right in front of her face. The water was rapidly rising, and panic started to set in within her bones. ‘Shit, shit, shit-..’ She was now frantically fishing around in the water for her stuff, and by the time she had found her satchel, she was standing in water to her waist, cargo and the likes beginning to float around within the bottom of the ship.

Malakai was whining loudly by this point, the staircase blocked by tipped over boxes. ‘Fuck..’ she mumbled, as she slowly realized they were stuck. Gaze frantically shifting around, looking for any way out. They couldn’t die here, not like this-.. not now. The water, continuously rising, quicker and quicker as the ship started to capsize, the water now by her bust. ‘Fuck!’ She shouted panicked. ‘Focus, focus...’ She mumbled, as her eyes settled upon the hole the cannonball had made. ‘No it’s going to be impossible with the waters streaming in-..’

Malakai was now padding in the water, unable to reach the bottom anymore, and Mazhga was starting to loose her footing, as the boat begun to tip over. ‘Gotta try..’ she hissed, as she grabbed the collar of Malakai. ‘Deep breath, we can do this’ she whispered with a shaky voice, before diving down, dragging Malakai with her, which soon followed on his own.

The water was dark and murky, it was near impossible to see, the salt stinging in her eyes. Please.. I can’t die here. Please. Spirits. Please.. She thought, hands finally finding the hole. Frantically she begun trying to enlarge the hole, the splintered wood digging into her skin, as her flesh was torn and ripped apart, dark-red blood soon becoming clouds in the water, as she tried to punch and force herself through the way too tiny hole.

Air.

Swimming to the surface, there barely was any air pockets left. One last chance.. The thought resonating throughout her skull, as she began swimming back down, Malakai right by her side. He began biting and kicking at the wood, helping her, as she closed her eyes. This wasn’t going to work. She knew that. Uttering one last prayer to the spirits, she began bending the water within the ship, forcing it outwards through the hole.
Come on.. ..break!
A dull crack sounded throughout the water, as more of the wood splintered off, the ship was sinking, even more rapidly now, she knew they’d been submerged for a while. There was no air pockets left. She had to make it to the surface with what little air that remained within her lungs.

Barely managing to squeeze herself through the cracked hole, she grabbed onto Malakai, planting her feet against the side of the hull.

So dark. So.. cold.

With some sort of miraculous strength, she managed to break Malakai through the hole too, bits of his snow white fur floating in the water, as his skin was torn.

Swim. ..Swim!

She could feel the burning within her lungs, the last of her air escaping her.

So far.. won’t.. make.. it..

Her world was growing darker and darker... until.. air! Malakai had swam beneath her, forcing her that last bit of ways up to the surface. Gasping for air, she looked around frantically.

It’s storming..

Eyes locking onto a nearby piece of wooden debris, she grabbed onto Malakai, helping the worg up onto it along with herself. ‘Spirits..save us..’
So cold..
The water was freezing. Her hand instinctively went to her bust, holding onto that fiery ember of hers, that she always carried around with her. Closing her eyes, she prayed that it would keep them warm. ‘It has to. We can’t die here, Malakai.. W-we can’t-..’

Struggling to stay afloat between the tall waves, there was no sight of anyone else, and the rain was coming down harshly as if it were a whip. They struggled to stay afloat against the harsh waves, clinging frantically onto that piece of wooden debris, as they were thrown around, for their lives counted on it.

They were at the mercy of nature, and their fate out of their grasp.

2 Weeks Later

They had been drifting for a long time. She had lost track by now. Had it been days? Weeks? ..Months? She didn’t know. What little water and food she had, was gone. Gone with the ship, just like her Clan. Her mouth was parched. Lips chapped and dry, from the continuous amount of saltwater that splashed onto her face. Malakai was no better, his fur sticky and his skin an angry red.

So thirsty..

She had managed this far, being able to bandage the worst of their wounds up, and to collect some of the rain water within a wooden bowl she had carried within her satchel, usually used for stews. Her stomach rumbled.

Stews. Food..

She was so hungry. She shook her head, staring into the depths. She felt unsettled. As if something was ever watching. Observing. Waiting... It sent chills down her spine, as she hid her face in her furry companion’s white pelt. ‘We’ll make it through this. We have to.’ She mumbled into his fur, with a dry voice. A low rumble given in return.
She had given him most of the water, only taking little for herself.

So tired..

She hadn’t slept for days. That unsettling feeling keeping her awake. Out here, in the midst of the ocean, her favoured element, she felt lost. She could not hear the spirits, and all she knew was the darkness of the stormy clouds above, and the cold unforgiving night.

Her lids, heavy with exhaustion, slowly closed, as she gave in to the ever creeping darkness. Malakai whimpered, as he watched his master succumb to sleep.

Current

She had been on this beach for a while now. Stranded, in an unknown land. Too weak to move. Malakai had suffered heavily too, he was on his last legs as well, she knew this. But she could do nothing, except close her eyes and pray. Pray that someone would find her. Pray, that they somehow would make it through this.
Her prayers was heard.
The coming day, a small human girl stumbled upon her in the evening, when she was about to give in to the looming darkness that threatened to claim her soul.

The girl was shocked, she had ever seen an orc before, only ever heard tales of them, told to her by her father before bed time. Malakai gave a weak whimper at her as she approached. A plea for help. The girl stared at the frostwolf with wide eyes, before turning to run away. Malakai stumbled after her a few feet, whining once more, before pacing back too his master, collapsing by her side.

Minutes went by. An hour. Then another. Time was ticking. But before the complete darkness of the night came, she returned, men with lamps in tow. Some discussing was had, Malakai growling weakly, before they grabbed his master, starting to drag her off.

Mazhga limp, and unresponsive. It took little effort from the men, to leash the wolf and then drag it along too. The little girl watching in horror. Perhaps this was not what she had expected.
They were thrown into a fenced area of sorts, Mazhga chained up, whilst Malakai was caged.

Come first light, a woman came into the pen. She tended to what remained Mazhga’s wounds, which she had suffered in the escape from the ship, forced her to drink water, and fed her. The same treatment was offered to Malakai, whom was too weak to fight it. He gave a low growl, a warning.

Days went by, once more in a haze, but Mazhga slowly recovered. She was however only fed enough to stay alive,  and the woman who had aided her, she later learnt to be the girls mother. She was grateful, though she never saw her again.
‘Let me out. I’ve done nothing to you.’ She would tell them every time they came to feed her. But she never got a proper answer. At most, she got a grunt or smirk in return.
She could feel her bones through her skin. She had lost so much of her muscle mass, it had been sacrificed in order to keep her organs alive. In order to keep her alive.
Closing her eyes she spent what little energy she had left, focusing. And finally she could feel them. The Elements. They were there, and they were of this world. She could feel them. And it comforted her.

She was sitting as close to Malakai as possible, slumped over asleep, when it happened.
An ear shattering crash, making her bolt upright. Thunder? She wondered to herself, before eyes opened, peering around.

It isn’t raining..

Looking around with furrowed brows, listening.. ears perked.
The sound of ringing steel resonated through the area. Yells and shouting in the distance.

Fighting?

Yes. Fighting.
Another ear piercing crash thundered through the air, and when she peered up, there she saw it. The Horde battle ship. And there were several of them. They were bombing this village, attacking it. Raiding it.
‘Damn it all..’ She mumbled, nose wrinkling as a growl settled upon her features.

Another shell came thundering down, whistling through the air; Exploding right next to the pen where her and Malakai was kept. Fragments of wood, steel, and other bits, came flying through the air, biting into both Orc and Wolf’s flesh.
‘Grah!’
Flames began to lick and bite into the wooden fence of the pen, trapping them.
‘Fuck. Fuck. Not again. Fuck. Shit. ..Shit!’ Her body was weak, and as she tried to stand she stumbled, falling back onto the muddy slick ground.
After all, they had only fed her enough to keep her alive. It was going impossible to break out of these shackles, at least with only raw physical power.
Unable to stand, she closed her eyes, attempting to focus. Trying to shut out the screams of agony and battle all around her.

Earth. Heed my call. Answer my plea! Strengthen me and aid me in this dire situation!

Suddenly, everything went silent. It was as if she had entered an entirely different plain.
Then she heard it, the voice rough and dragged out.
‘Strong. Unbroken. ...Stubborn.’
The words resonated within her skull, bouncing off the walls of her mind. And then she felt it. The connection to Earth. As if it always had been there.
Opening her eyes, the sounds slowly returned, and with it, the light too. It was disorientating. A frown settled upon her features, as she listened.

So much pain. So much grief..

The flames drew ever closer, licking at the skin of both Orc and Wolf.  Malakai whimpered from his cage, growling and struggling, desperately trying to break free.

With a loud growl, she slammed her hands into the ground. The earth rumbled, and forth an earthen spike shot out, between her wrist and cuff.
It tore her wrist bloody, bruised her, but it freed her.

She repeated it. Her other hand freed too, before finally turning her gaze towards Malakai's cage, beckoning forth the Earth to break the wooden and metallic cage.
As it shattered, she grabbed onto his fur. It was no longer white, the salt, mud, blood and otherwise caked into his fur, staining it.

‘I know you are weak. I am too. But please, even if it is the last time we ride together.. Run. Run like the wind, my wolf..’  She whispered into his fur, arms wrapping around him, as she swung herself onto his back. Malakai whimpered, his legs buckling from their combined weight. But he was determined. He knew this was their only chance too.
So he ran.
Straight towards the flaming inferno, leaping through the flames, and landing in the midst of the battle field, as mortar shells came ringing down from the sky, as Human and Horde alike fought for their lives.
He ran, as fast as he could, and as far as his legs could carry him and his master, following the trail of the Horde warband. It led them to a Horde Outpost, nestled between two cliffsides.

When they arrived, both Orc and Wolf collapsed onto the ground, burn marks and wounds littering their broken malnourished bodies.
They were taken to the infirmary, and given medical care.

Here they spent weeks recovering, too weak to move, but finally finding a place of relative safety, and proper care.

During her stay, she learnt of where she had washed ashore.

Visiting an old Friend

Looking over her shoulder at the silhouettes of the others, she sighed. They were speaking of the Frozen Paw Clan - One that Mazhga once had called home. Speaking about Rogmasha, and her clan's deeds. And although a part of her knew they were good people, another part of her was also filled with anger whenever she heard the name. Rogmasha had been the first person she had willingly given her heart to - In good faith, and for a long time it was equally given back. They had shared many nights together, and Mazhga had truly been happy with her. Yet she broke her heart, when she decided to lay with another person.
Snorting she shook her head - She did not want to share her opinions, unless asked.

She continued her stride into Alterac Valley, looking around at familiar places, even some familiar faces. This was still her home - and had been her home, for so many years before. The path she walked was branded into her memory, and she could walk it with closed eyes should she wish.

Finally approaching a small opening - Beneath the snowed over cannopy of a large tree; Were a gravestone. She sighed as she walked up to it, kneeling down into the snow, and gently brushing her hand against its surface - Brushing off the snow to reveal the Orcish runes ingraved within, a name. "Koramak".

"Hello.. Old friend." She uttered quietly, sighing as she went on. "I hope you are proud of me-.. Koramak. I truly hope you -do- watch me from the Eternal plains. I-.. I'm striving to become what you wanted me to be. What -I- want to become."

Closing her eyes again she softly lifted her right arm, the other yet in a sling, bound into a splint with Okiba's chopsticks, - Smart craftmanship it was. She proceeded to pick her wolfmask down revealing her slight saddened features, and her blue mane bound into dreadlocks, pearls adorning them.

Chuckling softly she moved on. "Well-.. At least I try. Today I was sat on by an Ogre, after attempting diplomacy. However, my fellow kinsman did not quite seem to know of my intent - Jumping him and smashing his skull in. This of course turned out rather unfortunate for me, as it fell ontop of me.. Owh.." She rubbed her arm somewhat, whining. "I'm sure you're laughing at me now!" She mumbled, a brief grin settling upon her features.
"Ah well.. Can't win every time.. Listen-.. I just-.. Thank you. Truly, Koramak-.. Thank you, for everything you did for me. I will do everything in my might to become a proud, Honorable Shaman. I even made amends with an Orc I never thought I'd manage to get on the good side of, again.."
She nodded her head a bit, fishing out a small relic from her satchel - A large black pearl. "I got this from the inside of a large-.. No, huge! crocolisk - Don't ask-.. It was rather.. Odd.. "
Snorting amusedly she put the pearl down into the snow. It gleamed beautifully in the moonlight, and drew a tear to her eye.
"Anyways-.. I want you to have it. I-.." She closed her eyes, as a smile finally crept onto her features. "Thank you. Just thank you so much." She murred, nodding her head once more before finally dragging her wolfmask back on, standing up, and walking back to the campfire where the others still sat conversing.

The Campfire / An Offering

An Offering

Rashka seated herself upon one of the cliffs near the camp. Accalia, her half-garn, laid down behind her, acting like a giant, fluffy, pillow.

It was odd to think about, she thought, as she peered skywards, upon the many stars this bright winter night. She had never really given it much thought, before, that some of Korgara's soul still could be in the Eternal Plains. When the spirits had granted her another child, she was simply happy, but when she later had learnt that it was with Korgara's soul, she was over-joyed. Confused, but over-joyed. That feeling had lasted, untill now.

She sighed, gently shaking her head. How could she be so naïve? To think that something like that, came without a price. Not that she'd of noticed on Korgara, though. She was just like any other Orc Cub, nearing the age of three summers. And thank Ancestors for that.

Turning her gaze from the sky, and stars, she peered towards the campfire, where the others, along with her Blood Brother, still were talking. Smiling softly, she shook her head. She wanted to hold onto that, nice, warm, feeling, she had received, just a few moments earlier.

She was grateful, that her Blood Brother finally had returned to the Clan. It was nice having him around again. It was him, that had sent Korgara to the Eternal Plains in the first place, after she had lost the cub during a fight, where she had been too reckless.. A big price to pay, for such foolishness.

Grunting softly, she closed her eyes. Enough thinking about that. She had other things to dwell upon, like what just had transpired.

She'd of asked Grodok for help, yesterday, after he had followed her out of camp. Once she had learnt about the Shaman King's Sceptre keeping all those souls as prisoners, along with Sadok's, and the first Varog'gor's, she'd of been furious. She may not of showed it, but she truly were. She were angry, that they had not found out sooner, and that their souls'd of been tormented for so long. Thus why she went to Grodok. She had asked him to aid her with an offering, which he agreed to.

So this night they went a bit further away from camp, where Grodok had set up three drums, sorrounded by some very old, Orcish looking totems. All around the area, were Orcish runes and words written out into the earth, words such as "Strength, Will, Life, Whispers", and so on.
The area itself seemed void of most lifeforms, yet she felt a constant warmth as she entered the area.

"We are ready. Join me, Sister." He spoke, beckoning her to stand infront of himself. "Silence yourself, feel their pressence.. Some you know, some you don't." As he spoke, he lifted his hands, picking off her rugged, grey looking wolf-mask, revealing her scarred face, and features.
While she watched him set her wolf mask aside, she grinned softly, her features soon settling to a slight smile.

As he returned to stand infront of her, he opened one of the bags upon his belt, dipping his fingers into the red liquid that was blood. Looking up upon her, he started to slowly pattern her face, upper arms, and down onto her hands. Not a single scar covered by the red blood.
"You will appear as you are.. A warrior."

She inclined her head, as he continued; "A fighter.. A mother." As he turned around, he flicked some of the red blood around her feet, before standing a bit further away from her, by the totems, speaking once more.

"Place the offerings before you."

Nodding, she knelt down, picking out the items she'd of prepared; A prestine Tigress skin, that she'd of aqcuired ages ago, upon one of her Nag'Ogar tasks. The skin was large and soft, clearly well tended to. It's fur a golden orange, and its stripes a dark brown. Placing it carefully down upon the ground, laid out so that it was visible, she moved her hand back into her satchel, picking out an ornate bone wolf statue, carved out of a raptor's leg-bone. This too, she placed down infront of her, upon the tigress' skin.

Whilst she did so, Grodok had started to tend to the totems, stroking and caressing them, as each one started to light up, one by one. The area remained silent, but the warmth increased.

As she had placed the ornate bone wolf down upon the skin, she peered up upon him.

He had shut his eyes, and were visibly breathing deep. He lifted up his hands, starting to play a beat on the drums, his breathing increasing with each beat, as the drums became louder and louder. As he started to chant in Orcish, a small crater infront of her feet opened up. Turning his head the slightest towards her, the drums slowly started to drown out from her ears, along with his chanting.. It was completely silent for a moment, untill she heard just one sentence. "One by one.. An offering, and a message, if you wish." The voice were without a doubt Grodok's, and even though she weren't used to these things, she did as he said, first picking up the ornate bone wolf statue. As she lowered it into the hole she closed her eyes, speaking in a calm tone; "Fer Sadok Sharptongue.. Even though' I 'aven't openly admitted it before-.. I 'ave always looked up ter ye. I go' angry, when I 'eard 'bout t'Sceptre, an' wha' 'ad fallen upon ye.. Please take this-.. A sign of ye always bein' a par' of t'pack.. A par' of our family."

As she laid the ornate bone wolf statue into the hole, she looked up. Music.. The drums started to fade back in, as orcs of old, and unseen, began to dance around her. One of the Orcs of old came forth, dipping its hand into the hole, taking the ornate bone wolf statue, and nodding towards her as it.. Faded from reality.

She'd look up at the Ancestors of old, blinking a little, before simply grinning as she carried on, still not completely used to these kind of things.

Taking the Tigress' skin, she folded it once, the bright golden color, and dark brown stripes of the once Proud Tigress, still visible. As she too, lowered this item into the hole, she spoke again; "An' ter t'Varog'gor.. I also go' angry when I learn' of ye, bein' in tha' Sceptre.. Tha' ye'd of been in there fer so lon', 'cause of yer sacred duty.. I be sorry tha' we didn' know sooner. A Tigress lurks in t'shadows, always watchin', waitin'.. Jus' like t'Wolf's claws. Ye protected t'pack wit' Pride.. Wear this wit' Pride too, as a sign of grattitude."

Peering up again, all of the Orcs of Old passed her, except for two, whom took up the pelt, carrying it in lengths way, ensuring it was not damaged.

Once again, a warmth spread through her, and as she watched the gift being carried away by the Orcs of Old, they too, slowly faded from existance. The drumming slowed, and the echoes of Grodok's words came back to her, as she was pulled from her trance-like state.

Smiling she inclined her head, before slowly standing up again, peering at Grodok, as he sat the drums aflame with the Element's aid, afterwards speaking towards her; "How do ye' feel?"
Nodding once, she spoke. "..Good.. I feel.. Hrm.. Good."

Smiling he nodded at her, as he gently pressed his forehead against hers, moving back afterwards to speak; "Ye fill me wit' pride."
Grunting softly she'd grin, a smile settling upon her features afterwards, as she spoke. "Thank ye, Brother."

Peering skyward once more, she smiled softly, as she whispered to herself. "I be glad, tha' ye be back, Brother."

The Campfire / Just a Nightmare..
December 05, 2017, 06:40:59 AM

Just a Nightmare..

It was a battle field. The sound of fighting deafening, and Rashka in the midst of it, as usual. As she decapitated one of the enemies she saw her; Shrika. In the midst of the battle. Her gravid stomach un-noticeable at this point. Why was she here, of all places? It was dangerous! She and her child could get hurt!

Baring her fangs she rushed towards her, - an enemy was coming straight for her. "Please let me make it-.." She pleaded in her head. "PLEASE, let me MAKE IT!" "PLEAS-.."

Chrunk. Cold sweat ran down her face. She stopped mid motion,- her body going limp.

She felt the gushing blood flow, as she stared Shrika straight in the eye. "RASHKA!" She roared.

But she couldn't hear her. The world around her was growing deaf; Everything became silent, and everything was as if in slow motion. She watched, as her Tribe came rushing towards her. Her hand grasping her bleeding side; Her insides shattered and making their way out. She felt herself falling, backwards. She felt herself looking at everyone, as they came rushing towards her, and she felt herself land. THUD.

She felt her breath growing ragged as her throat filled with blood, and the earth underneath her became red. Shrika fell to her knees by her side, as everyone gathered around her, some of the orcs ensuring the others backs was covered.

She looked up at Shrika, tears in her eyes. "Rashka-.."
"Shh.." She grinned, her teeth bloodied as she let out a rasping cough. "It be a'righ'-.. it be.. a-..righ'.."

Her breath becoming more shallow for each word. She lifted her blood soaked hand from the wound; her guts spilling out even further, as she placed it upon Shrika's cheek. "T-.. T-tell Grosh-.. Groshnok t-tha'-.. I be-.. S-sorry.."

Her hand fell, leaving a bloodied hand print upon Shrika's cheek, as the sky tore open, and the rain started to pour down.

As her hand landed with a thud, a folded piece of parchment fell from it.
And Shrika roared out; "RASHKA!!"

--------------
She awoke with a shock, sweat gleaming upon her forehead, and her breath ragged and short. Accalia, her half-garn, peered up at her master, almost worriedly. Her snout was in front of her face. Did she wake her up?
Grunting as she slowly came to the realization that it was a dream, she patted Accalia on top of her head. Laying back down she gazed upon the stars. She had had nightmares before.. but nothing like this. This felt.. different. Grimacing she snorted, shaking her head. No. It was just a stupid dream. Nothing else.

Accalia laid back down beside her, letting out a heavy huff, as her master wrapped an arm around her, slowly falling back into a more light, sleep...

The Campfire / Always Red
November 16, 2017, 06:26:42 AM
Always Red

It was late 'noon as Rashka sat below a waterfall in Pandaria, washing her hair throughly. It had been completely white for several moons now; Presumably due to a great amount of stress and self-loathing. Had she done what she could to keep the Tribe together? She had tried. But was it enough? It hadn't been.
One by one, they disappeared. Some called to war to fight against the Legion, and some deciding to walk their own paths. And when the Spirit Link disappeared too, she had assumed her beloved Tribe to have perished for good.

Sighing she peered over her shoulder at Korgara, she was playing by the edge of the water, Sujing, Rashka's first real tutor, by her side. She couldn't help but smile. She had grown so much lately, already being two and a half year old. Time went fast. Faster than she liked, at times. Groshnok'd of been sending her letters every now and then, but he had not seen his daughter for many moons now.
It annoyed her, angered her even, but she could not keep him on a leash, she knew that, he simply was a wild spirit, not to be tamed so easily. The letters would have to do. At least for now. She had been sending him letters in return, a picture attached every once in a while. Finally something useful those Gobbos had invented.
She even had received a letter from her Blood Brother recently, that she had thought long lost.
Massaging her scalp she mumbled quietly to herself. She missed war. Fighting. Blood, adrenaline pumping and surging through her veins-.. She'd of enjoyed the time off with her daughter, teaching her how to wield a weapon properly; She had to learn from an early age!She would become a fine warrior some day, that was for sure.
With a smirk settled on her features she retreated from the waterfall, her mane no longer white; She had dyed it back to its original color, or well the same shade, at least. Red. Her favorite color.

She had wanted to return. But there was nothing to return to. No Tribe, no real family. No, she would stay here in Pandaria with her daughter and her aging tut-.. What was that? Peering over her shoulder, her brows furrowed as she turned in one swift motion, her muscles tense as she scanned the surrounding area. But there was nothing to be seen, she could of sworn-... Hm, no. Perhaps it had just been the wind-.. Korgara was now tugging on her leg. "What's that Mommy?" Rashka arched her brows, peering down at her. "Wha's wha'?" She asked, her voice soft spoken, yet with slight confusion.
She pointed at her hand.
With a swift movement Rashka lifted her hand, observing the letter that somehow had made an appearance within it. Her eyes narrowed. "I don' know. A letter." Korgara simply giggled, as if she had seen something her mother simply hadn't picked up. Ruffling her daughters hair she proceeded to walk a bit further ahead, before opening up the sealed envelope, her eyes scanning over the text. The further she got, the more furrowed her brows became, her expression turning into a slight snarl.

"Friend
I write to you in haste, for time is of the essence and eyes are everywhere. Even now, agents of the enemy threaten to silence me. I do not know their intent, nor do I know how it is that they have burrowed themselves so deeply into our society. They live among us; share our roofs and eat our food. Even in Orgrimmar, none are safe from their clutches. What I do know with certainty, is that you are in danger. You may have no cause to trust me or see reason in my words, but see reason in this: the spirits themselves cry out for blood.

I have enclosed a map that shall lead you to a desolate camp in the Stonetalon Mountains. Meet me there on the 26th day of the 11th month. I promise you answers and refuge there. In the meantime, see to your blood kin should you have any. They too may be exposed.

Trust no one.

Signed,
Kozgugore Feraleye"

Sujing couldn't help but notice Rashka's growing worried expression.
"What is wrong, my Student?" Rashka peered up from the letter briefly, a snort escaping her nostrils. Her Chieftain had need of her, he wasn't dead; he was alive, and seemingly in danger. She knew what she had to do. She trusted him, and he had trusted her to come to his aid. She had been called upon, and it was not something she would turn down. It was time for her to return to her spot as a Nag'Ogar for the Tribe-.. If they were there too, of course. She hoped they would be. Blinking she realized Sujing still was staring at her with a confused expression. She cleared her throat before speaking; Her voice booming with strength as a slight smirk crept onto her features once more. "It appears I 'ave been summoned. Ye think y'can watch over Korgara fer me fo' a bi'?" Sujing merely smiled, albeit a worried smile, but she nodded, she understood the call very well herself, having been a Shado'pan under Taran'zhu. "Very well, but be careful. We both need you back alive, and in one piece."

Grinning Rashka set into a run, the air flowing through her once more red mane, her body almost already feeling the adrenaline rushing through her veins, at the thought of fighting with, and for, the Tribe once more.
She quickly packed her most essential items, donning on her mix of chain-mail and leather armor. Within an hour she'd of set off towards the nearest maintained portal to Orgrimmar that she knew of.
They would soon know that anyone that threatened her Chieftain, threatened the Tribe, and if they threatened the Tribe, they threatened her personally.
Their blood would flow, just like her red mane once more did. They would learn that when you threaten one wolf, you face the entire pack. She would make sure of that.

Notice Board / Useful Herbs

Useful Herbs

Objective:
Collect the following herbs as you come by them;
Dreamfoil
Dreaming Glory
Golden Sansam
Ghost Mushroom

Rewards:
2 Fangs per orc.

Additional notes:
Here's a description of how to gather and handle the herbs;

Dreamfoil: Dreamfoil is a green, shrubby plant growing roughly knee high. It has long, thin, incised leaves. It has long narrow spikes that flower through much of the year. The flowers are aromatic and come in a variety of colors, most commonly shades of purple or blue. - Gathered normally. If its the season for spikes, beware of those.

Dreaming Glory: Its soft, translucent petals glow with a golden luster, and its pollen like heavenly stardust. In contrast to the flower's beautiful delicacy are its thick, tough stem and rugged, fern-like fronds. Dreaming Glory grows primarily in highland, preferring rugged terrain where it will not be trampled. - Gathered normally.

Golden Sansam: Golden Sansam is a relatively rare, extremely powerful herb, known to some cultures as the cure-all root. The above-ground leaves look much like the leaves of a carrot and blend in very well with background foliage. Underneath, the root is pointed, somewhat rounded, and the flesh beneath the gold skin is white and somewhat dry. The root is edible and tastes something like a vaguely spicy carrot. - Gathered by unburrying the root. Make sure to get everything if you happen to stumble upon one!

Ghost Mushroom: The Ghost Mushroom has its name due to its pale, almost transparent coloration and bioluminescent glow. These mushrooms can only be found in caves, as they cannot tolerate sunlight. They grow best in no-light conditions and as such can prove difficult to cultivate at home. - Cut as close to the ground as possible, and store in a dark fabric sack that I have supplied, to avoid sunlight.

Bring a few Orcs. If enough, make seperate gathering groups to increase chances of finding the herbs.

- Signed, Rashka Facebreaker

Regrets of The Past

Punch. Crack. Smash. Punch. It had been going on for a while now. The continued punching. A tree her victim. Each hit paining her ribcage. Each hit flowing through her arm like electricy. Left fist. Right fist. Punch, punch punch. Despite her wounded left arm, she hit the tree. The pangs of pain flowing through her arm, like electricy, all the way to her ribcage.

Why'd she of hit her? She still remembered the feeling of theseething rage within her body. The feeling of her fist, flying through the air with the force of a raging bear. She still remembered the impact. The regret. The feeling of having to flee. The regret, never having left her body.

Smack. Punch. Crack. The pain in her ribcage, and left arm, growing with each hit. Her fists bloodied. The tree hollow where she'd of repeatedly hit it. Bloodied. Blood.
With a howl of agony she punched the tree one last time, her right fist. Crack. The top of the tree toppled over, and she fell beside it. Curled up, into a ball. The tears streaming out from her eyes. Her body trembling. The memory playing over and over.

The memory paining her mind. The pain of regret.

Treasure Hunt

Objective:
The time has come to follow the treasure map we found a few days ago! I bet there's lot of gold involved.

Rewards:
2 Fangs per orc.

Additional notes:
I've left the map in a chest within the Tribes supplies, in case I'm not around.
OOC: Here's some OOC notes in a spoiler for whoever leads this. Also, please take five others with you, and take some screenshots for me, since I'll likely be in Sweden when you guys do it. <3

Spoiler: show
The map'd be rather old, and therefor some of the letters has been exposed to sun for a longer period of time, and thus some of the ink is unreadable.

Two birds, blue and golden, their gaze eternal
A path full of cursed green men,
Past the big hall of origination,
Across where servery once led to water,
To the left of a guardian of old,
To a temple of old treasure.

Along the way you'll fight some of said green cursed leper gnomes, and in front of where the treasure is within, an insane one of the sorts sit upon a giant mechanical mecha.
On his corpse you'll find a golden key, inlaid with gems.
Within the building on the blue carpet in the middle of the two eagles, is a big treasure chest. The key'd fit with some wiggling, making you able to find a great treasure of gold, gems, and jewelry within.

((And in case you can't make out yourself where this leads, since me and riddles and so on suck, here is a map I've made. But no peeking unless you absolutely can't make it out!))

Appearance:
Mazhga is not particulary tall, her body appears small, frail and rather thin, as if she doesn't eat much, or just haven't for a while.
Her azure blue hair is almost always tied into dreadlocks, very well kept, and fresh smelling.
She has a single scar on her face; A small one going over her lips.
Around her neck is a string of leather, adorned with wolf teeth, tufts of fur, and different kind of bones.
Her garments is adorned with several important memorial tokens, such as bones from hunts, small carved totems, and inscribed stones.

Personality:
She is very generous, and genuiely cares about others around her.
Very shy at first glance.
Has a very soft-spoken voice.
Tends to be anxious, and nervous about people she doesn't know yet.

History:
Mazhga
It all started out with Mazgha sitting by a campfire that night. Her head was spinning, she was exhausted and completely drained from energy; And as if it couldn't get worse, old memories started going through her head.

They had been out picking herbs, her and her mother. It was nothing new for her, for it was something they often did. Only that tonight was going to be completely different. She just didn't know it yet.

Her mother suddenly stopped, standing completely still. And as Mazhga was about to say something she planted a hand over her mouth. She didn't quite understand what was happening, after all, she wasn't all that old, but she kept quiet.
After a while, her mother grabbed her by the arm, dragging her to a nearby bush, telling her to not move, nor say a sound. Her mother then took out the weaponary she had brought; a knife from her belt. Sneaking a bit down the road they had just been walking upon. Mazhga could nothing but look, as her mother nearly disappeared from sight. Just she had.
Suddenly two male Orcs clad in black leather appeared out of nowhere, attacking her mother and pinning her to the ground. She was outmanned, and out-muscled by the larger males. She may of been muscular, but she was no match for the two males. She was screaming.. No. She was roaring. But the attackers just laughed it off, as one of them kept her pinned to the ground, and the other started cutting her clothes up. Mazhga shut her eyes together so hard that she thought that they might explode, her hands covering her ears. If only she had been able to completely shut out the sound.

As they were done with their.. Business, they cut her throat in one clean cut, the blood gushing out rapidly as her body lay there, lifeless  and broken.  It was first when she heard their footsteps moving away, that she'd open her eyes once more. They were dragging the dead body of her mother off, and Mazhga was as frozen in the spot. Her mind shut completely off as she stumbled backwards, turning, then crawling in a fast pace before running off as fast as she could, in a most distressed manner, falling over her own feet several times during the process. She couldn't think, her mind was a in a muddle, images of her mothers dead body being dragged away, and the sound of the gushing blood going over and over within her mind. She couldn't return to their village, where her sister'd be waiting for them, what if the Orcs saw her? What if they did the same to her, as they did to her mother? She kept running, stumbling, and flailing, her clothes now muddied and wet from the recent rain earlier that day.
Her mental state was harmed forever, and she just kept running that whole night, not stopping once to rest, nor look back. She ran untill the first few beams of sunlight appeared from the horizonth. She stumbled over a branch, and fell as long as she were. Her head hit something. It was soft, yet terribly cold and wet. But she did not care. She was so exhausted, both physically, but also mentally, that she just passed out. However, to her luck an Orc clad in white fur apeared, he was on his morning patrol, and as he saw the small she-orc he instantly ran to her, picking her up and wrapping her in his wolf-fur cloak.

The Orc then proceeded to take care of her, feeding her hot soup and telling her stories. She didn't speak. Not a single word. All she'd do the first week, was to just look at him, either nodding or shaking her head. She didn't speak, the whole first year. But it didn't matter to the Orc that had saved her. He saw it as his task to take care of her now, and thus he became her whole world. He didn't only become the person who took care of her, he also became her tutor. The Orc was a Shaman, and he wanted to teach her. Shamanism already known to Mazhga was a warm, familiar feeling, and she did not say no to the offer. So he started teaching her. Like if she had been one of the Frostwolves themself.
Years passed, and even though she had mastered a whole lot already after the first year had gone, she did not stop training, nor did she stop talking with the Spirits. She kept listening to them, devoting herself to them. She offered them all her time, and her tutor were proud. When he believed that she had come of age, and was ready, he took her with him to a tent. Many Orcs were gathered infront of the tent, whispering, looking to her as she and her tutor appeared. She herself was wearing a warm leather robes decorated with tufts of fur, bones, and other relics she'd of aqcuired, along with a thick fur cloak. It was needed in the cold of Alterac, after all. As they approached the tent, all the gathered Orcs became quiet. Slightly confused, she and her tutor entered the tent.

Inside an Orc laid on a bed, scarred and bloodied, his blood dripping down onto the ground and pooling. There was blood everywhere. She froze; She hadn't seen blood since that time she had lost her mother. Flashes of old, unwelcome, memories flew through her mind, and each time a picture appeared infront of her eyes, a sharp pang of pain went through her head. She wanted to help the Orc infront of her, but she couldn't. The pictures were too sharp, too strong. She colapsed, the sheer force of the memory knocking her out. Her tutor could do nothing but carry her out, nodding to the rest of the menders in the tent, which quickly took over the job that she had been supposed to fix.

Time went on, as time does, and as she was 27 years old, her tutor became sick. He was old, and had aqquired a cold. Mazhga saw it as her task, to take care of him as he had of her; Their roles suddenly switched. She fed him soup, read stories for him, she even drew pictures by his bed so that he was entertained. She did not leave the Orc's side, and as months went, the cold lasted, he became weaker and weaker, and as fate wanted it, he would soon die. Mazhga was heartbroken. For the second time in her life, she lost an important person who had taken care of her, loved her. A ceremonial rite was held shortly after, sending him off to the eternal plains, the Howls of the Frostwolves echoing through the cold night.

She spent the next many weeks mourning his death, offering several things to the Spirits, in hope of hearing from him. But she heard nothing.
There was a closed envelope on the table. It'd of been sitting there for a while now, carried by one of the Frostwolve's Elders. She knew what it was, but she hadn't wanted to touch it yet, she hadn't been ready. But she was now. And thus she opened the letter, reading the text within. It had been written in a dark purple ink, the letters carefully written, yet with a slight shake to them, likely due to the weakened state her tutor'd of been in. The letter read: "Dear Mazhga. We both know how ill I have been lately, and the invitable will happen soon. My wolf, Whitepaw, is with cubs, and is set due a day after the next moon. One of the cubs will be yours, just head to the stable master, and show him this letter. And at last, but not least, I will give you my armor. Wear it with pride as I always have. - With love, Koramak."
As she read the last sentence, tears rolled down her cheeks. "Next moon.." she whispered softly. It had been that, a week ago. She blinked the tears away as she ran towards the stable master, and as her tutor had written, his wolf was with pups. The stable master allowed her to pick one of the pups, as the letter had proclaimed. She eyed each and  everyone of the cubs, untill her eyes fell onto one particulary small and scrawny cub. It seemed that its brothers and sisters kept bullying the poor thing, which reminded her abit of herself. With a slight chuckle she motioned to the cub, and the stable master nodded. "In a moon he will be ready to come with you."

A moon later, she picked up the wolf pup, whom now had grown into something that resembled a wolf much more, yet it still was only a pup. She smiled a bit, as she was  wearing Koramak's armor. She had gotten it adjusted so that it'd fit her perfectly. And it did. The pup and her quickly formed a strong bond.

It wasn't untill one day, when she sat down by the waters, reflecting over the recent happenings, and the past, she realized something. She had completely forgotten about the fact she had a sister. Was she still alive? How was she? Was she doing well? So many questions formed in her head. The spirits talked of her, and her deeds. And of some.. Tribe. She didn't quite understand, but she understood one thing. She had to find her sister. They had to be reuinted.. She returned to her and Koramak's house, or well, her house now, and packed as much of her belongings as she could. She donned on the heavy leather and mail armor, and wafted her hand at her wolf, whom she had named Malakai. She didn't know how long the journey would be, but she did not care. All she cared for was reunition with her resumed dead sister.

The Campfire / Clarity

Clarity

Mazhga didn't quite understand what just happened, as she sat in the inn, sipping her juice. Her sister wasn't dead? How could it be? How had she not found out earlier..?
She sort of had, but she thought the water spirits had just been fooling around with her. That's why she showed up in Nagrand, nearly a year ago by now. The waters had shown her there.. Her sister. With a Tribe. She had however only been able to find the said Tribe. She had left. Thinking it all just was a lie. But then recently the waters had shown her sister again. This time in Northern Barrens.

She had gone there. An Orc had been surprisingly rude to her, whilst two others tried to protect her hide from all the insults on her stuttering. However, one of the Orcs that had been protecting her, almost got into a fight with another she-orc. Something had clicked in Mazhga's head, perhaps guilt if she'd not help the Orc. So she did. One of the male Orcs that had been rude towards her, had followed her, and spooked her. Yelping as she jumped almost a meeter forward, cowering for a moment. It was then she was pulled backwards by the meanie of an Orc that had just spooked her.. She screamed at him. He didn't seem to wanna harm her though. Something clicked in her head suddenly, as she noticed the two Orcs infront of her. The she-orc conjuring a ball of flame in her hand, whilst the male Orc held his loaded gun pointing at her.

She'd of jumped the male Orc there and then. Pushing him to the ground, stopping the fighting before anybody got hurt. The both left there and then. The female walking back into the inn. Though Mazhga didn't notice much. She had reached a state of shock, over her own actions. The next part is blurry, and she doesn't remember a thing till she's suddenly slapped, falling over, onto her back. As she looked up, she was looking straight up at the male orc that had been bullying her earlier. And now he had slapped her too? Blabling about her sister suddenly. How'd he know her name? She was so confused. Said he'd show her. So she followed.

Rashka peered up from the furs, Korgara curled up beside her, and Ghost craddled up around Korgara. She smiled briefly, before looking towards the entrace of the cave, hearing footsteps. "Who's there?" she mumbled, somewhat sleepily. "Jus' me, m'wolf. Ye'll never believe who I found!" Arching a brow, she sat up onto the furs, which made a neat, rather big, bed spot on the cold floor of the cave. She watched as Groshnok entered the cave, a small, thin she-orc following behind him. She'd rub her one eye, not quite understanding yet. "R-r..Rashka?" Stuttered the she-orc. Narrowing her eye now, she stared at the she-orc, which almost cowered by her glance. She looked like she'd rather not be there. Rashka mumbled something lowly, about Groshnok being right about her being scary, before answering the she-orc. "Aye tha' be me. An' who be ye?" The she-orc, seemed to freeze up a bit, before walking forward, picking off her wolfmask. Rashka stared at her for a moment, almost loosing her jaw. "S-sister?" Rashka stuttered. The frail looking she-orc nodded several times, before moving in closer, almost stumbling over her own feet."I-.. I though' ye were dead!" Rashka almost shouted, tugging her sister in close, hugging her tightly, a tear even running from her eye, as she didn't seem to care about her wounded arm, nor how her sister might respond to it. Luckily for her, she returned the hug, just as sincere as Rashka.

The night continued to be spent discussing what had happent over the years, and so on.
At one point however, Korgara woke up with a fever, and Rashka had to take care of her. So after Mazhga gave her some herbs to dulm the fever, before she returned to the inn from whence she came.

Mazhga was now sitting in company with Ul'gurk, and Claudine, sipping tea, still reflecting over the eventfull night. It truly had given her some clarity.
