Beta has always come 3 months before release dates. We still have 4 months to go!

I am anxious for it to be released soontm

But, hopefully it will release when ready and not be a rushed muddled front ended mess like wod, it can come out next year if it has too. just as long as it's enjoyable longer than a month or so

Rashka

I'm glad it's in August. Gives me time to get a new PC and possibly move in with my Fiancé :3

I think August, well let's be realistic, September, is a good release time. I bet every viewing of the Warcraft Movie will have the trailer for it beforehand, and gives people that are interested, to get into the game before the expac hits.

Hopefully the pre-launch event will last a month or so, so we get to meddle with our new specs/Demon Hunters.

Who bet the Warcraft movie will be extremely disappointing?

Which will probably be a shame because I really want there to be a Arthas Movie.

The only people I ever hear being excited for the WoW movie... play WoW. I very much doubt they'll manage to get it to be a thing tbh. My prediction is it's gonna flop badly in the box office. No matter of actual quality.

As for games. I'm pretty much set for the rest of the year already. Dark Souls III will last me for years more likely than not, Stellaris is out next Month, will be the same.
Add to that Dota2 and that I got CS:GO from a friend for my birthday? Yeah, I need no more games. (And with that I also have some other RPGs to play like Dex and Undertale that I've both started and not finished).

Muzjhath got Iced by Sadok, after Marogg got Stabbed.

I'm not excited for seeing the movie, but I will go see it on the release date anyway with my whole nerd family. xD

I'm not particularly excited for the movie, sure it'll be a decent spectacle to watch and I'll enjoy it, but from what I hear the Lore is it's own canon and not strictly keeping with what the story was ingame/current lore sources and that really bugs me. I fear people will just see it as a bit of a LotR rip-off if they aren't current WoW-Fans and ignore/dislike it.

Not to mention I can think of a fair few films that were box-office flops after being taken from a successful franchise; DBZ, Avatar the Last Airbender etc. Live action film tends to suck unless you're a superfan.

I do think they will try and use it to try and up subs though, if they don't, they're idiots. A Legion game trailer before every screening would be worth it imo. They could even make a fresh trailer designed for people that have never seen the game before. That'd be too big of an opportunity to pass up.

Its perfect for me! \o/

In regards to the movie, I think Blizzard are trying to draw more people in. I work with 40 beer-swigging, football lunatic general basic humans who have no interest in games outside of COD and Fifa and they're all pretty excited to see Warcraft. Some even said it looks cool, some have even got tickets for it.

Its probably Blizzard trying to gather some more interest into the game before Legion drops from a wider audience.
