Silef

Name: Silef Mistbringer formerly known as Silef Blackblade
Class: Monk
Level: 100

Tell us something about your (role) playing experience:

Well I started playing World of Warcraft during Vanilla shortly before The Burning Crusade. Doing Wrath of the Lich King I moved to Moonglade to play with some real-life friends and one of them happened to be very much in to RP so I though that it was something I should try out myself, and being a huge lore nerd I liked the idea of making a character that would fit into the lore. I played on Moonglade for a couple of years before getting convinced by another friend to try out Argent Dawn, and since Moonglade was pretty much dead at this point I moved, and I am to this day happy that did. I have roleplayed a bit on and off in the last couple of years and been in a couple of different guilds and played many different characters. noteworthy guilds that I have been in: The Bladewind Clan and the 14.Legion both orc only guilds. So all in all I would say that I am an average role player maybe a little bit rusty.

And finally, please write a short story and/or IC introduction about your character:

Silef stands at the edge of the training ground looking out over the snow-covered mountainside thinking of what to do next. After a little over a year of hard training his master has finally concluded that, his training was over. He was now a monk a follower of the Red Crane; he was no longer the orc he used to be. He was no long the failed shaman or the small warrior he was a monk, and for the first time in a long time, he was happy, but yet he had a hole in his heart. As much as he enjoyed the company of the Pandaren, they were not his people and they would never be. He tried to remember a time where there was no hole in his life, nothing missing. He tough back to when he was a child back on Draenor, before his parents and brothers had gone off to war on Azeroth this was the last time he was truly happy amongst his own people. At this moment, he decided that it was time to leave Pandaria, his home for over a year, and find a new clan. In the short time he had spent in the Fourteenth Legion, he had been happy but it was not the same as a clan or a tribe, he wanted a place where you were not just bound together by money and war, but oaths and honor. Silef nodded slightly to himself he had decided tomorrow he would leave the temple and Pandaria. The uncertainty of whether or not he would find what he was looking for gave him thoughts of doubt if maybe it might be better to just stay at the temple, but then he remembered his teachings and the way of the crane. "Hope's fire grows when the flames come together.," he said to himself and he felt hope.

So this was a short story to give a little inside into the mind of Silef, story writing was never my strong side but what the hell. Silef was born into the warsong clan, as a child he trained to become a shaman as he was not build as a warrior, but as he only had a weak connection with the elements, he was never a very good shaman. He left his clan many years ago and had been wandering in Azeroth for many years when Pandaria was discovered; he felt drawn to it and started training in the ways of the monk. I role-play him as a middle-aged orc the exact number depends on what timeline you use.
I hope you enjoyed reading my little post and I hope it is to your liking. :)

Welcome to the forums and thank you for submitting an application, Silef!

Your application was a pleasant and interesting read. Concider your application accepted! However, there are a few points you'll need to think about going into your IC interview, because these are things that do generally get asked during sed interview:

- What has your character been doing during most recent events ( Mainly looking at the WoD period here.)
- How did your character gain knowledge of the Red Blades and why he would want to join the Red Blades.

If you are interested in finding out what timeline we obide to, here's a link to it: http://orcsoftheredblade.com/forum/index.php/topic,2438.0.html

With that said however, you can go to the next step of our application process which is the IC interview! THe IC interview is used as an IC introduction between your character and a member of the tribe. These IC interviews are performed by officers of the tribe or senior members.
So when you are ready to take your IC interview, just give an officer or a senior member a nudge in-game and see if they have time to help you out!
