Groknack

Name: Groknack Siege-breaker
Class: Death Knight
Level: 98

Tell us something about your (role)playing experience:
I have been playing WoW since 2005, but have always been on a normal server. For a long time I wanted to give roleplaying in WoW a shot, but my commitment to my guild back then kept me from it. But after a 3 year break from WoW, I found that the guild I used to be a part of had been all but disbanded, which was sad but also an opportunity for me to try something new.
My only roleplaying experience so far is with D&D, which I have been playing since third edition, for about 15 years now.

And finally, please write a short story and/or IC introduction about your character:
The wind was blowing in his face, and the view was breathtaking. This was probably the highest mountain in all of Northrend. “This place will do just fine. “ Groknack said to himself as he slowly moved closer to the edge of the mountain, preparing to jump off and end his suffering.

An ominous moment in Groknack’s life had led to this moment. One day he was fighting the Scourge in the snowy regions of Northrend, and another moment he was killed, animated and turned into a member of the Scourge himself. He was transformed into a Death Knight, and was forced to do the Lich Kings bidding. At least untill the Lich King was defeated and Groknack was in control of his own actions once more.

But the transformation had left it’s mark on Groknack. He felt like he was frozen to the bone, and in constant pain. His body was covered in frostbite and his strongest emotion was pure hatred. The only comfort and relieve from his pain and anger came when he would kill something. But even that relief would often not last longer than the blink of an eye.

As Groknack stood on the top of the mountain and was about to jump, he suddenly thought to himself: "No! This is not the way I will allow it to end! When life gives you lemons, you smash those lemons into life's eye sockets and make sure life gives you something better next time!" He climbed down the mountain and went on a rampage, destroying any undead he could find and making sure he would leave Northrend a better place than before. But after a long time hunting the Scourge, he decided it was time for him to return home, and once again become the proud warrior he used to be.

So he went in search of a clan or tribe that would accept him and aid him in regaining his honor. And maybe, one day he would finally be able to die an honorable death. The death that was denied to him once already...

Hey Groknack!

Welcome to our forum! :D
I've given your application a read and I think you made a really nice little story for your character so far, it should prove interesting to see how Groknack will develop.
Deathknights are always a very interesting but sometimes hard to play concept, especially because so many ICly dislike them for what they are. This could be a very nice challenge for you though! And of course out of characterly we don't mind Deathknights at all, they often give a very nice other side of RP.
With that said, I'd like to ask you over for a short IC interview to get Groknack introduced with the tribe! You can contact any of the names ingame on these lists here, be that officer or senior rank, for the interview: http://orcsoftheredblade.com/forum/index.php?topic=2440.0
Most RP happens in the evening, and right now we're still in Tanaan, but we can arrange something to get you there. In a few days we'll be moving to Outlands-Nagrand!

Hope to see you soon!

Thanks for the fast reply Rhonya.

I'm aware that playing a Death Knight might prove to be harder than playing an other class.
I just hope you guys won't be too harsh on me in game  ;)

I'll make sure to contact one of the officers soon.

Interviewed and accepted by myself! For the Blood of the Tribe!
