Kuldrak

Name: Kuldrak
Class: Mage
Level: 95 (and going!)

Tell us something about your (role)playing experience:

Roleplay is something I've done ever since I started playing WoW; which would be in Wrath of the Lich King. Before that I never really encountered RP before.. heck; I didn't even know it existed, I just happend to hop on the realm "Argent Dawn" because I liked the name. Never personally made a RP guild but I have been part of plently; From Military, trade, "Evil", faithful or just wandering traveler. I've always been hesitant in creating RP for others; instead engaging in events/guilds that others created. As of late however; this has changed quite a bit. I've recently started DMing and I quite enjoyed it, got a few compliments too.. So this is something I'm considering doing more of in the future.

All in all; I've seen quite a lot of different RP and always open for new things.

And finally, please write a short story and/or IC introduction about your character:

Kuldrak was born into the Bleeding Hollow Clan on Draenor a few years before the orcs left for the First War; during these events his father who was a Bleeding Hollow warrior fell on the initial assault on Stormwind Keep. Kuldrak himself never had the makings of a warrior as his father; his mother however was a ritualist and historian of the Clan, she poured everything she knew into her only child; Blood rituals, the rich history of the orcish clans and most importantly the time before the orcs drank the blood of Mannoroth.

By the time of the Second War Kuldrak had grown into an intelligent, cunning and very fanatic young orc, he had been learning to become a Blood Ritualist like his mother but after hearing the victories and witnessing the spoils gained by the First War Kuldrak couldn't sit idle and wished to be part of it all, he lusted for battle as did most orcs around that time. So he left to join the fight against the Alliance of Lordaeron. He pushed through dwarven, human and elven lands together with Doomhammer's Horde until they were forced to retreat and ultimately defeated at the battle of Blackrock.

Like many orcs Kuldrak was put into one of the internment camps, he found himself a prisoner within one of their largest; Hammerfall. A lot of time passed during his imprisonement, with this time Kuldrak looked back at what he had done and what brought him and his entire race to this point. After pondering for many days; remembering the stories his mother had taught him and what he himself had experienced.. He came to the conclusion that the true fault of all this was tied with the drinking of Mannoroth's blood and the exposure of fel magic, this corruption caused him and many others so eager to go to war and seethe their bloodlust, because of this corruption their homeworld was destroyed, because of this corruption they were now bound for imprisonement for the rest of their lives. Kuldrak tied everything to the orcs that was even remotely negative to the drinking of the demon blood, he vowed that he would find a way to remove this corruption from their blood and make the orcish race strong and proud once more. Once Hammerfall was liberated by Doomhammer and Thrall, Kuldrak longed to see his lost warchief.. But was greeted with a young orc appointed the new warchief while wearing the armor and weapon of the former one, Kuldrak felt betrayed and had little faith in Thrall. But he had little choice to join this new Horde however, for he understood that the orcs stand strongest once united.

After beeing freed and joining the new Horde Kuldrak experimented on himself, orcish corpses and any other creatures using his Blood magic in order to "purify the corruption in his blood" as he himself would put it. Because of this he was often alone and became distant since many orcs frowned on his questionable actions. His research was halted once Thrall decided to travel with the Horde towards Kalimdor, Kuldrak joined him on this endaevor as many orcs did; feeling that leaving the human lands behind wasn't a bad idea. And so Kuldrak was present during the many events that occured during the Third War most notably the recorruption of the Warsong Clan; witnissing the true devastation of drinking the demon blood with his own eyes.. Only strengtened his resolve to rid his people of the corruption. Most thought the corruption completely disappeard with the death of Mannoroth; Kuldrak however was not convinced; for he believed the fel corruption still resided within the orcs.. they were still green after all, even after no exposure for a long time.

Kuldrak participated in the Battle of Mount Hyjal, afterwards he left the Horde; knowing that Thrall was going to rebuild orcish society in Kalimdor and with the truce between the orcs and humans, he could leave with the feeling that his people would be safe at last. Kuldrak traveled throughout Azeroth; with his one goal in mind; Curing his people from any corruption they suffer from, he learned many magics and experimented a lot.. Mainly on himself for there were no other orcs around or even willing to do so.

Thus Kuldrak went on to do all this until the reopening of the Dark Portal. There was a chance to meet his long lost kin and most importantly; to find uncorrupted orcs.. he had heard rumors and Kuldrak thought they could be the key to rid himself and his race of the corruption. He was quickly met with disappointment; most of the surviving orcs turned into what Kuldrak was fighting against all this time. He then spend a lot of time on Outland, finding whatever remained of the Bleeding Hollow culture, investigating the demonic activities and finally meeting with the Mag'har which was everything Kuldrak hoped they would be; he decided to stay with them and observe while still working on his cure.

Kuldrak's research ended in no avail but he did not regret coming to Outland, he thought there truly was hope for if some remained uncorrupted it would mean there has to be some form of resistance against the corruption. After the events of "The Burning Crusade" Kuldrak traveled with some Mag'har to (re)join the Horde and spend a lot of time watching Garrosh Hellscream.. While he was skeptical of him at first; seeing how his father gave in to the Demon Blood twice, Kuldrak quickly came to respect him because of his actions for the Horde and sometimes against "the passive" Thrall. Kuldrak started to doubt Thrall even more since his inactviness started to effect the orcish people negatively.

When the war against the Lich King started Kuldrak quickly signed up and wished to be assigned to the Warsong Offensive under Garrosh Hellscream, he saw him as an orc who truly cared for his people and wouldn't stand for anything that could even remotely threaten them and since he was uncorrupted Kuldrak trusted him even more. During the campaign in Northrend Kuldrak served the Warsong Offensive faithfully until finally The Lich King was dealt with. During this time Kuldrak continued his research trying to find a connection with the undead and their own curse.

Not much can be said about Kuldrak during the Cataclysm; only that he was overjoyed to see Garrosh take the mantle of Warchief; he knew this was a turning point for his people and gladly served in the new warchief's army. Fighting against the numerous enemies of the Horde, he saw the changes that came to the world as blessings.. For the orcish race prospered.

When the drums of war thundered once again between the Horde and Alliance Kuldrak was more then happy to lend his assistance to the warchief in conquering Azeroth for the Horde. The battleground for this would be the discovered isle of Pandaria; Kuldrak joined Garrosh's landfall into Pandaria and worked with him to uncover the secrets the land held. Kuldrak was amazed by what the mogu had achieved; creating life. This could be a stepping stone in finding the cure for his people and strengthen the Horde as a whole!

As Garrosh grew more relentless and expelled the other races from the his Horde Kuldrak stayed loyal; still believing in his warchief, believing he knew what was best for the orcish race.. For he cared. While Kuldrak had his doubts about using the Old God's power, he followed the orders he was given; he studied and aided in making these powers weaponizable. But alas; Garrosh's new Horde was defeated and Kuldrak was mortally wounded during the fighting in the Barrens. Upon hearing Garrosh's defeat Kuldrak fled the Barrens and took refuge within Mudsprocket in Dustwallow Marsh.. Here he recovered while pondering on what to do next.

It didn't take long for the world to hear of Garrosh's escape during his trial and hope rekindled within Kuldrak who fully recovered from his wounds. So he set out for Orgrimmar, he figured now that everything had calmed down nobody would recognise him.. He kept a low profile nonetheless, trying to gain information on what happend on the day of the trial and where Garrosh went.

Some time passed by and Kuldrak found nothing.. Nothing until the Iron Horde invaded Azeroth, after some information gathering Kuldrak learned about what Garrosh did and traveled to the alternative Draenor as soon as he was able. Upon arriving in the alternative Draenor Kuldrak was hit by nostalgia but as soon as he saw the massive armies of uncorrupted orcs, with technology and completely taking Draenor for their own; Kuldrak knew what to do; He searched for his Bleeding Hollow kin and after some difficult reasoning he was accepted into the Iron Horde. He thought that this was it, that this was what the orcish people needed; A fresh start, uncorrupted and more united then ever before. Kuldrak aided the Iron Horde with all his might but even the combined might of the clans ultimately wasn't enough, the Iron Horde was pushed back but Kuldrak's faith in the Iron Horde didn't wither even upon receiving the news of Garrosh's death.. He believed that his sacrifice was for the good of all orcs, but this all changed.

It all changed once Kilrogg chieftain of the Bleeding Hollow Clan, the orc he heard so many great stories about from his late mother, for whom his father died, someone he aspired to be , did the one thing Kuldrak could not stand: drinking the demon blood and dooming the orcish race once more. Kuldrak was devistated, angry and disappointed.. He lost all faith in the Iron Horde, believing that the Iron had been melted and twisted into something monstrous.

He deserted and quickly left Tanaan Jungle upon hearing the grim news, he reconnected with the old Horde and Kuldrak now searches for something else, something he can be part of that strives to better the orcish race, unite them and will allow him to pursue his ultimate goal.

As you've said you'll continue later I'll just throw in my comment so far.
It's looking really good, all we're looking for beyond what you've written is what your character has been up to during the major events after (third war, Northrend, Cataclysm etc.) As well as why he wants to join the red blades.
Just make a post here once you've finished the app and we'll look over it. If you continue on the same level as now I see no reason your app would be denied :)

Well, I'm done.

I didn't expect it to be this long but I haven't roleplayed on this character yet and had to make a background, I really got into the groove upon making the application that I couldn't stop.

Sooo.. yeah.. Happy reading!  8)

It certainly grew!
I see no problems with it myself, and as such I'm happy to say that it's been accepted!
