Whatever you want to say about pet battles, at least it gives those pesky companion pets an actual use beyond meaningless vanity item. Also, reusing the Warcraft 2 music for the battles (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGTbG_1aqfs) makes me happy inside. Very, very happy.

Looking forward to the tribe establishing an underground cock-fighting ring so we can gamble and watch small critters wage war on one another.

Will you actually be able to battle your pets outside the pet battle areans that seem to work like BGs?

You can challenge other players anymore, of course you need abit space for it but not really much. As for getting pets, pets will be spawned all over azeroth just for you too find. Each pet can have a quality, poor, common, uncommon and rare which means that higher quality pets will get more stats on level up. Theres 8 types of pets, each having a weakness and a strength towards the other types.. really just pokemon in wow..

remember to get one that looks uggly, spam the "Yolk" ability and name him Regorn...

...and Show him to Sadok, a lot, tell him it's haunted and you need his knowledge on Yolk's
