This week's Tribe Fishing Derby was a chance for the tribe's orcs to kick back, relax and hone their angling skills. Some selected photographs of the event, along with incredibly bad wordplay as commentary:

^ The Buoys are Back in Town: As the Derby begins, our participants get their feet wet at beautiful Shadowprey Village.

^ Making Waves The competition gets into the swim of things, with Vashnarz Talonslayer and Yegra both angling for the top prize.

^ Hook Line 'n' Stinker: Varog'Gor Swiftstrike doesn't participate, but seems to be having a 'crate' time nonetheless. I suppose she didn't want to be dead in the water.

^ That Sinking Feeling: Falling behind in the competition, Orok Felbane must tread water or have his hopes dampened; under pressure, perhaps he should invest in a barometer.

^ There's Plenty More Fish in the Sea: The tribe had great fun at the Derby, but now have bigger fish to fry. Onwards to Northrend!

I love how the entire Horde and Allience is on a total scale war, the End of the world is coming at Twilight, The entire world is forever scared and the Mighty Warriors of the Red Blade... Goes Fishing ^_^

To appropriate a quote from one of my favorite comedy series: "As the days go by, we face the increasing inevitability that we are alone in a Godless, uninhabited, hostile and meaningless universe. Still, you've got to laugh, haven't you?"

Besides, if Regorn were still alive and kicking, he'd use Aged Yolk for lure and scare away all the fish.  ;)

Hmmm, I rather think a Naga whould swim up, jump up in the air, smack me in the face and then throw the Yolk (he miss me however and hit you insteed)
Then he swims back down again showing his middle finger

The second Tribe Fishing Derby emanated from Revantusk Village in the rustic Hinterlands. Following a Revantusk ritual to Ula'Tek the Serpent Queen, the tribe was assured by their gracious (if mossy, foul-smelling and inarticulate) hosts that the evening's fishing would be most bountiful.

I'm also scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to fishing puns. Grom help us all if there's a third Derby.

^ Water Way to Go: Things go swimmingly as the competition begins; the participants look to be having reel fun.

^ The Wading Game: Under such pier pressure, schooner or later friends anemones collide. Tarag flounders, perhaps on porpoise; a shame as he barracuda won the competition.

^ Shore Loser: Morgeth Feralheart and Karak Dirgesong shellfishly argue over first plaice in the competition. Don't get crabby!

^ Master Baiters: Our winners receive their prices. Whale done! Whilst Vezara was all croaked up (a frog in her throat), I heard Karak pond his off.

^ A Trawl Order: The orcs were soon hooked on fishing, though they had to rest their mussels at the tail end of the Derby.

Fin.

Nearly a year later, and the tribe find themselves back in Revantusk Village for the third Tribe Fishing Derby! This was no small undertaking, as a week of prior events uncovered a problem with the Revantusk fishing waters, led to a gathering of reagents for a ritual atop Jintha'alor (which met Alliance opposition!), and finally took the orcs beneath Caer Darrow to find what was polluting the local waters - necromantic rituals in the bowels of the Scholomance!

But without further ado, some pictures and commentary:

Right again, me.

^ Talking and Herring - While Sadok carps on about the Derby's rules, Karak assures us he will in-fact catch a fish thiiiiiiiiiis big. Any-fin is possible, I guess.

^ Sole* Survivor - With baited breath, the grouper of orcs compete for honor, bragging rights, prizes or just for the halibut.
*Sole is a kind of fish. This is funny. Ahahahahaha.

^ Sitting on the Dock of the Bay - The competition intensifies while a disinterested Vraagar gets a head start on shaving beards from decapitated dwarves. He later traded one of his dwarf heads for two of the Revantusk's, and came out ahead.

^ Bubble Trouble - After quite the tuna-round, Grogona and Vashnarz are first and second plaice. Each win a coy koi suspended within an enchanted water-sphere, and a Kirin Tor robe 'borrowed' from the Dalaran assault, which neither want.

^ An Illuminating Experience - Karak probably shouldn't have put Grogona's Kirin Tor robe on. Yeeeeeah.
