Trailer Throwback Tuesday

While our newest trailer is only one year old, did you know our second-newest trailer is already six years old as of this year? There was a five-year gap between the two, but apart from the new character models and environments, one might not necessarily be able to tell! While there are certainly improvements in the newest trailer in terms of camerawork, sound and editing, this previous trailer can still be considered a fair representation of the present-day guild.

But it's not tuesda- Oh hey, it is! Still love these trailers! <3
"Dogs obey and whimper, wolves carve their own path with a roar! Let the Alliance hear your cries for battle! Rrosh'ka Valokh! For the Blood!"

Sneaky fact: Despite a few hiccups in it, I still somewhat prefer this one over the new in a certain, few ways. Might just primarily be because my mic doesn't sound like it's underwater in this one though.

Trailer Throwback Tuesday

While one would think we're slowly running out of trailers to showcase, there are in fact some very old clips of the good, old tribal life taken as far back as ten years ago! One such example is this little movie, once made by former Red Blade Yorla. Though primarily just made for fun, it still showcases the tribe from a time long forgotten in a - to say the least - fun and playful way. See how many old faces you can recognize!

The Legion Comes

Smouldering embers, broken infernals, dead orcs and broken structures: the Burning Legion had made its mark on Splintertree Post following the short yet brutal siege they laid to it and its occupants. Where the orcs of the Red Blade thought they had slowly gained the upper hand in warding off the demon threats lurking in the northern forests, a sudden yet decisive strike ended any and all notion of that. They fought tooth and nail to ensure the Post would remain standing, but they did so at a price. The entire attack turned out to be one big, elaborate distraction which allowed infiltrating Satyrs to sneak in through the back and pillage through their supplies.

Lowering the curtain: a hiatus

Adventures were had, battles were fought, oaths were sealed and friends were made. It has been an amazing eleven and a half years since Orcs of the Red Blade has come into existence, with people from all around the world joining us in the amazing World of Warcraft. Some of us have made friends for life, some of us have grown up alongside the guild and others simply enjoyed to tag along for the ride, be it for a mere, passing moment or for several months or years.

Last Post Wins (Forum Fatality Edition)

As you may already know, Orcs of the Red Blade is currently on an indefinite hiatus. Web hosting, domain registration and other costs associated with the website are difficult to justify in the present climate, and the OotRB website, forum and all associated content will be taken offline when funding runs out in just a few short months. As a thank you to our most loyal and active forum members, we’ve decided to commemorate this inevitable process in a unique and memorable way.

From the Ashes, Arise a Clan

The deed has been done. The Burning Blade remnants have been defeated and, in the face of adversity, the Red Blade has arisen anew as a unified clan. Following the teachings of the Great Wolf Akashok and his pantheon of Great Spirits, the clan will move forward into a new era. Though now a clan, outsiders who hail from other clans will still be welcomed as they always have. After all, it has long been among the traditions of the Red Blade, even in the times of the Old World, that clan blood would be mixed with those of others considering its rooted history as a war band from the apocryphal times of Draenor. As a result, outsider clan customs or traditions may continue to be upheld, so long as none of these conflict with those of the Red Blade clan. Not only will the Red Blade be a place of tradition and spiritualism, but it will also be a place of unification for orcs who hail from all different banners, to stand together underneath a single colour.

Oh man, that trailer from 2006 you posted, huge blast from the past...

Thank you. I want with you back then, still on French servers, but 14y/o me was still living in the same Barrens!

The Road to Battle for Azeroth

The end of another expansion is upon us, with the beginning of a whole new one to come! Looking back, Legion has been a bit of a strange expansion for us. It started with a multitude of phasing issues on the Broken Isles, which in part resulted in the guild's ultimate hiatus. It ended, however, with the guild's return in a bigger and better way than it's ever seen before!

Though the concept may have been upgraded, the guild's members and its atmosphere remains just the same as ever before: open-minded and welcome to all newcomers! This is a trend we hope to continue leading up to the very end of the Legion expansion, as well as the entirety of Battle for Azeroth to come. Our recruitment will remain open, but at the same time, we will make renewed efforts to bring back the immersive, grandiose campaigns that we started this reboot off with. The centerpiece of these campaigns will be one particular word:

Chapters!

Very pleased to read all of this.

BfA presents a great RP opportunity for playing out the lead up, preperations an execution of a true world wide total war.

And this makes me so happy inside!

Chapter 2: The Honor of Orcs

The Burning Legion has been defeated, yet the world is not at rest. It is wounded - a god's blade having pierced its heart - and the Horde and Alliance quarrel over its scraps. Meanwhile, however, other denizen of the world have not been sitting idle...

Our next grand campaign is about to begin! Read all about it on the front page!

Woo! This sounds great!

a shame I'll miss this one, but I look forward to hearing all about it.

May I also recommend this be posted not only on the AD forum but the Wow 'Roleplay' forum also? Would look fancy and welcoming for anyone new to RP.

And again, much envy   :o

It's not a bad idea, but I'm a bit hesitant to advertise any guild-related stuff on the general RP forums nowadays. They don't really seem to be used for recruitment purposes any more these days, so rather than to butt anyone in the head with rampant advertising, we'll just have to settle for the realm forums, I think. Besides, we're in a pretty good place member-wise right now, so we're not in a desperate recruitment drive right now anyway. :)

Fair enough, completely understandable!

Still, very jealous I'll miss out on this chapter.

oh well, always chapter 3!  ;)
