Because some wolves sing

Morgeth

The very first thing noticable is the fact that the bonfire is huge. Not made to warm the hearts of some lonely wanderers at their camp, but wild and raging. Uncontrollable; just within her reach. The sweated, green back of the hunched female is a dark shadow to the fiery canvas, and whilst she now and then waves her right hand about - seemingly feeling painting something into the air around her - the she-orc seems fully immersed in her labour.

A small knife is used to chip away at the dried hide of a large pelt, and in the runes she carve, the young orc pours some kind of black liquid. After some time, it becomes obvious that the skin is intended to be a scroll of the fancier kind, and that - when dried - her runes will spell a text of sorts.

Hours later, when the fire has finally - with the aid of some large skins of water - died down, she gets to her feet and ties the skin together. Upon departing the camp, there is but one thing left behind - something she forgets - and thus a crumpled note of scribbled words is left behind again. And even though the words here are smaller and not printed as fancily as on the skin, they are still visible for any orc curious to see.

         And the song reads:

During my days of wander
Under sunlight's gaze
Many wolves have crossed my path
Showing their bestial ways

But no matter the glow in their eyes
Or the redness of their tongue
It is with you I have come to rest
It is for you, that this song is sung.

So on your feet, my love
Stand tall in your pride
Oaths be shared between us
Through blood we be tied

And whilst battle and strife
Now be part of our path
Your hands soothe me
And quench my tainted wrath.

In this grip of early nights
Even when the sun won't shine
I know in the depths of me
That you are forever mine.

((So Morgeth wrote another song, and I decided to post it here, because. Durr. Well, I'm not really a lyrical person to begin with, but it was fun to write. And I thought that if I decide to write even more crap, I might as well slap it into this topic, thus the title! If anyone actually wants to find the notes - I reckon there's one from my previous song thread - then go right ahead.))
I want to be just like you. I figure all I need, is a lobotomy and some tights.

Kozgugore

(( Rawr, orc poetry! I like it (of course not just because it's about some orc I know o.<)! Tastes like moar! *Drools and eyes the smexy note* ))

*Howls*..Me think this wolf can't sing.

((Loved it, something nice to home to work to. Gives us some more Morgeth or I'll make Osan cry.))
Better Red than Dead!

(( Really nice!
Thanks for posting it! ))

Morgeth

((This is something that Morgeth mumbled, instead of actually singing, when Nazkhur's friend was burned in Garadar. I reckon she wrote it with death and Nazkhur in mind, so I thought it would be good to post it as well.

Here goes:))

In every orc's life
Comes the final day
When death be at the door
And you become the prey

But that is not the moment
To give up and simply die
It is within defiance
That some of our strength does lie

So pick up your swords, my brother
And hand me that axe, my sister
For I will fight until the very end
Despite any cut, wound or blister!

And should my veins still run dry
My blood spilled over soft grass
I know what awaits me to be glorius
And my eyes can close at last.

I want to be just like you. I figure all I need, is a lobotomy and some tights.

Nazkhur

(( /applaud. Need I say more?))
Better Red than Dead!

((Not my proudest moment, but I wanted to finish it. It was intended for something to honour Nazkhur, but I'm not sure how it turned out in the end. As usual the rythm and texting suchs, but just imagine Morgeth wrote it and not some poetic genious. Was a bit inspired by the song "Siúil A Rún" - Here performed by Clannad http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZP-4B7kHqA))

I have been forged
by war and bitter pain
But now, with my enemies
finally bested and slain

I find myself wishing
Although it be in vain
Wishing that to one day
have a heart again.

For too long have I felt
the hatefulness of cold steel
And now my fingers long
for the the sweetness of a softer feel

It still does elude me
This feeling to me denied
Those battlefields of old;
truthfully.. part of me have died.

I want to be just like you. I figure all I need, is a lobotomy and some tights.

Norv

(( Nice one again!
As I bugged you in-game as well, I hope you'll want sometime to give them each a title. It'd be easier for lazy orcs like me to know which is which, specially if you'll agree to me making them on parchment with gryphonheart items, each item should have a title. If you let it on me, you may get "Morgeth no 1", "Morgeth no 2", and that, which is probably not exactly what you had in mind ... to say so.))

Really like this one the words fit a orc fighter to a tee.
And to be honest it fits my Orc as well

((I wrote some poetry in other threads, but I'm going to copy pasta them into this one, just to keep it all in once place.))

For Nazkhur

Alone but a trickle
In a never-ending flood
But together we be tied
United by our blood

Shared be the words
Visible be our scars
My strength is yours
Sisterhood be ours.

A love returned

No matter what path,
down which you stray.
I will be your hunter,
and you my loving prey.

My mark upon your skin,
made by teeth and blood.
Our enemies will drown,
my hatred; a bitter flood.

It is for you alone,
that I ache to reach.
My hands will roam your flesh,
seeking what it has to teach.

What has been exchanged,
can never be undone.
The wolves will sing it;
We are one.
I want to be just like you. I figure all I need, is a lobotomy and some tights.
