Attention, heroes and adventurers of the realm alike!

How many moons have passed since you got to test your mettle against a proper foe? Look no further! The Orcs of the Red Blade offer you a chance to prove your strength and cunning in the Pits of Honour!

Each guild, tribe, clan, house and whatever other form of organisation may enlist two fighters to represent their colours! These fighters will be able to subscribe themselves until the tenth day of the eighth month! The fighting will commence seven suns later, on the seventeenth day of the eighth month, at the Dire Maul arena!

If you seek to prove your honour and strength in this grand oppertunity, send a letter to the Red Blade's Chieftain or contact him in person! Entries may be changed until the tenth day of the eighth month. No later, and two contestants only!

Iron in the blood!

OOC:
(Copied from my post on the realm forums)
As described in the IC part, only two players may participate per guild. If you're not part of any guilds but would like to participate, contact Kozgugore. However, if you choose to participate guildless, you *will* have to take a fellow fighter with you to represent your "colours". Any changes made in your team may be done until August 10th, but make sure you let the organisers know before this date.

The tournament itself will take place on August 17th, Dire Maul arena (may change in the future). However, keep in mind that it's the community's (and so yours as well) responsibility to keep this event from turning into another drama show of OOCers and griefers. It'll eventually be up to the community itself whether or not this event will turn out to be successful.

Remember: Anyone caught and seen behaving OOC, be it a participant or spectator, will be either disqualified or kindly requested to be removed.

Failure to comply may eventually result in death, up to the point this person chooses to either remove himself or to behave IC accordingly to the event. This is an RP event and, like past events, we don't want any griefers or OOCers to spoil all the hard work for us.

Alliance members are allowed to join in and watch, but their safety lies in their own hands and I would kindly request them to keep any fighting outside the ring.

Rules

Fight announcements
This tournament will be slightly different than what you would normally see. It are namely the fighters themselves who will be allowed to pick the setup of the fights. All fights, however, will be 1vs1 fights.

The first fight will be decided with dice rolls. Then, once the winner of the first match will be known, the winner may pick the participants for the next fight. This may be either his own guild mate or someone he doesn't even know. The winner of the following match will be allowed to do the same and pick any of the remaining participants to fight each other. So on until no participants remain, and we'll be moving on to the next round. A fighter that already fought cannot be picked again until the next round.

This method will bring some more strategic thinking into the fray by giving the fighters themselves a chance to eliminate any upcoming strong opponents by having them fight each other, or perhaps by giving their guild mate an easy opponent so that they may eventually end up facing each other in the finals, giving their guild the spot of the champion no matter what the outcome. Or just maybe there's this oppertunity for a fight between two great players that you've always wanted to see and enjoy. It all lies in the winner's hands!

Credit goes partially to Azuril/Drevan from OotRB for this idea.

Layout
The tournament will consist of different rounds, depending on the amount of participants that have signed up. The eventual layout will be made known in the final week before the tournament, when all participants have been counted.

Note that we may organise a small break inbetween each rounds as well, offering various RPers a chance to show off their wares or tricks on the arena floor. If you've anything you would like to show or tell the audience in any of these breaks, make sure you contact Kozgugore beforehand!

Combat rules
Fights will be limited to class and racial abilities only, including all available cooldowns. Usage of any potions, non-equippable trinkets, ability-boosting food or any other kind of class abilities (except for bandages) will result in disqualification, regardless of the match' outcome. OotRB's officers will referee these matches.

So, in a nutshell:
Sunday, August 17th, 20:00 (gathering starting from 19:30).
Dire Maul Arena, Feralas.
Subscribing may be done up until August 10th.
Contact Kozgugore (or Ramcroy for Alliance) ingame, on the OotRB forums or by mail for any other questions or details.
