There is one thing which puts me off Warhammer more than anything else I could mention, and that's the fact that everytime I walk past a Games Workshop Store, it appears to be full of nothing but 11 year old boys.

they will grow tired of it in a year.

This statement had me in tears of laughter. :D
Very true and frightening.  ::)

But you forgot the long haired spottey staff the 18+ teaching them how to play,
and shouting Blood for the Blood God etc.

;D

Though I think the population of WAR online, will consists of roughly the same type of people that play WoW. Which of course really isn't a comforting idea, but hey, thats the beauty of playing on RP servers, they tend to have much for pleasant atmosphere and behavior, even if Defias also has it's fair share of tards.

But even though a game like AoC looks amazing, and I still fully intend to try it out, I think I like the more cartoony graphics of something like WAR and WoW a lot better. The only thing that is holding me back from WAR, is that I am afraid it's just going to be PvP and nothing more, but aside from that, the game looks awesome...

Heh, probably very true (in fact that's about the age I first started with warhammer) but since my b-day is coming up and I had no idea what else to ask for from my parents... collector's addition pre-ordered :-)

Assuming all goes as planned I'll definately be in the open beta, I'll let you know how it goes. At least I will if I have enough play time to find out anything interesting (decorating is done now but with the return of the sun there's loads to do in the garden, not to mention the small nappy wrapped poo machine I acquired recently  ;)  )

Hi everyone, so nice to see (read?) you all again  ;D ;D. I just dropped by to say hi when I saw this thread.
Just letting you know that I and a friend of mine are still planning of making an orc & goblin only WAR guild on a RP server. We will probably also make an order guild but that will be a secondary project.

Anyhow Im glad there is interest for WAR going on in our guild as I would love to play with you guys again  ;D.

Typhek, I'll be in the open beta as well so I hope we can meet online soon.

See ya all, love 'n kisses!

P.S. For anyone wondering --- Im STILL in the army  >:(

KAD!  :o

And yeah, guess you are getting closer and closer to finally playing what you consider to be a real Orc.

Will certainly go and try Warhammer, and certainly the evil side, but not so sure about the race yet. Anyway, by that time, drop a message here on which server you are going to!
