This is me testing the shoutbox, because shouting is a great stress relief and it would be a shame if it doesn't work.

The Journey Starts

Kintka

Kintka stirred. He’d been sleeping so heavily this night, he’d not noticed he was soaked from the rain. His shelter had succumbed to the weight of collected water and had created a hole in the roof. His shelter building still needed some work evidently. He grunted to himself as he sat up moving to a slightly dryer spot.

He let his thoughts wander to the clan, to  the spirits he’d encountered and back to his brother. He missed Klarous most of all, however felt that he missed the other clan members as well. Yet despite this he was called away. It had been around 30 moons since he was last with them. He slipped away in the middle of the away after a clan gathering.  He had considered if anyone would notice, he doubted it. His journey had taken him to a forest, he sensed old and powerful spirits here, and not all of them were ancestral.

Kintka snapped his mind to the present, he watched the rain fall and make small splashes in the waterlogged soil. He didn’t mind the wet anymore. Or the dry, with d or any weather for that matter. This journey had taught him lots of things. An understanding of how things are. A balance of elements and how an imbalance can cause problems and things that he’d never considered before. He was still learning about all of this but had become aware, which was an important first step. At least that is what he was told. Kintka held out his hand towards the puddle, and almost as fluid as the liquid itself began to twiddle his fingers. After a short while the water began to ripple and rise it slowly entwined itself between his fingers as if it were a snake or worm. He chuckled to himself a little an placed his hand to the floor as it slowly returned to its puddle state. He smiled, “This is the journey I should be on.”

This journey had not just been one of self discovery and teaching, but a quest almost. One of the spirits that Kintka had communed with a couple of nights before he’d left had told him to travel to discover himself and that he’d find a teacher at the journeys end. One that could properly teach him about the spirit realm, how to commune with them properly and become what he was supposed to be. A Spirit Walker.

The following morning, Kintka awoke. The sun was shining now onto him through the canopy above and wild bird song filled the air with exotic tunes. Kintka picked up his bag and left, only carrying a mortar and pestle, mug, blanket and some meat he’d hunted a few nights prior. He had learnt to travel light as too much baggage only weighed him down  and tired him too quickly. A few hours had passed when he felt something. It’s wasn’t a physical touch, but something reached out. He decided to find some herbs and meditate in case it was a spirit that was trying to reach him. He quickly found his needed herbs, brewed his tea and started meditating. This simple process Kintka had almost perfected. And it wasn’t long until he saw the spirit that called him. His new teacher...
