Vanara

Ever since the tribes crashed in Storm peaks orcs have been missing, without any supplies they had to make the best out of it and survive. Finding other orcs who are still missing, scavenge for supplies.

“If it wasn’t fer that stupid goblin we would not have crashed here. It be all his fault.” Vanara mutters to herself as she looks around the wreckage. Furs wrapped around her, she shivers.  “Most orcs seem ter have made it here but there be still quite some missing, we have ter find them”. Barely able to see because of the frequent storms and heavy snowfall. She looks around thinking she hears some whispering, “Wat be that, be anyorc out there?” But she gets no reply, “It must be the wind ghrm.” She looks around some more. “There be only little I can do in this snow.. it be so tiring to move through it and the air up here be not the same”. She sighs looking away into the distance. “I hope we get out of this place soon.”

She stares into the fire. It is rather quiet apart from some orcs talking and being in pain from the crash. She sighs low, the morale and mood of the tribe seem to be at an all-time low, but what is to be expected, they just crashed without any supplies or tools. “This be not the time ter set still and accept wat has happened ter us, we have ter do something so we can get out of here”.  After some time the weather finally allows the orcs to move outside and look for survivors and supplies. Makaroth was leading a scavenging run, without any hesitation she decided to join it and help in any way she could. They move out looking around once more, “I hear it again, the wind refuses ter stay quiet.” She shakes her head and looks back in front. “She frowns and looks around, the group stumbles upon what seems to be a construction site of some sorts. “There be tents around, there must be something around here” She thinks to herself. The group split up to cover as much of the ground as they can in the probably short window of time they have before another storm would pick up. She approaches the first tent in her path, looking to be a forge; she finds herself a small box and opens it. “Tools.. this can be useful, hopefully they be not brittle because of the weather” She closes the box once more and brings it along. The next tent seems to have a large box inside it and it’s filled with frozen meat. “This be great, this be just wat we needed”. After some hassle most of the findings were returned to the crash site. “This should give us more time”. She lets out a sigh of relief as she sits on Makaroths lap.

Some time goes by and another window opens for the orcs to go outside. She looks around to see most of the orcs still asleep or to pained to go out. Then she spots Kogra, they quickly agreed to go out and try to find more supplies.  “We have ter be quick, there be no telling how much time we have”. They find some critters, herbs and a potential shelter before they return to the crash site.

She starts to feel better and better and orcs seem to recover, they go away from the crash site once more to scavenge. “Fel snow, why does it have ter be so much snow” Barely able to move through the snow she climbs onto Makaroths shoulders and they move onwards.
This time it looks to be a small village of some sorts.  As they approach it seems to be not deserted but guarded by some dwarves, not normal ones. “I hear it again.. it is louder here it can’t be the wind.” She looks around and fixates on the nearby building. “It seems to be coming from there”. It seems she wasn’t the only one who has been hearing it; they go into the house and find an orb of some sorts. Makaroth walks towards it and picks it up. He stares into it and becomes completely quiet, frozen in place by something he saw. “Makaroth?! Are ye alright?” It remains quiet she gets no response from him. The orb shatters. He walks right past her not even acknowledging her. She frowns deeply, “Makaroth..?” she speaks lowly to him but gets no reply. She looks absolutely frightened behind her mask which keeps it hidden from the rest. They move on and find a crate laying in their way, a small teddy bear was inside. Makaroth picks it up and holds it close, the way he used to Vanara close to him and he speaks to the bear like a cub would do. “Something be wrong with him.” She thinks to herself. She follows as the group keeps going. She panicks in her mind, “Wat happened why doesn’t he speak to me. But he does speak ter that thing”. Upset and frightened she keeps her distance from him, unsure what she can do.

They come across more of those orbs, Akesha and Rhonya touched them and they as well start to act differently. Rhonya tried to pull Kogra away and leave while the rest seem to have found Srelok, “We move as a group, we be not going ter split up”.  Vanara sprints over towards Rhonya and tackles her to the ground, she refused to listen. She gets back to her feet and so does Rhonya, she glares at Vanara. “We have to leave â€"now-!” she tries to pull Kogra along once more. Vanara growls and moves over towards Rhonya, this time she whacks her on the head. Rhonya glares even more at Vanara, she looks furious and the temperature around her seems to rise. As it was about to turn into a fight Gridish came and stopped it by conjuring a wall of ice in between them.

They were ready to leave now, Vanara keeping well clear of Makaroth and Rhonya, she is filled with anger and fear. They return to camp, Makaroth is still talking to the bear as if it’s alive. “He has gone insane, I lost him..” she thinks to herself. Unknowing on how to handle the situation of losing another who she loved she walks outside, “This be the same thing all over again, I don’t know wat ter do”. She pulls her knees close to her chest in an attempt to keep herself warm.
Srelok comes over asking if everything was alright, “It be not alright, he went insane he be not the same he was I lost him. This feels the same as when Vraxxar went missing”.  She doesn’t hear much apart from Srelok asking her to come inside so she won’t freeze. “I can’t go back in there and watch him be like that, I will stay here”.
Makaroth askes over the link if Vanara can come back inside because he needs her. Still unsure of what to do she keeps on sitting outside, ignoring the voices in her head that asked her to come inside. A tear falls down her cheek, she looks down to her feet.

Makaroth comes outside and shouts at Vanara from a distance “I saw terrible things I was going insane and this bear kept me from going insane, unlike you. You abandoned me when I needed you the most, the bear was by my side and was here for me to help me through this, unlike ye. Find yer own furs tonight.” And he walked off. More tears falling down her cheeks, she made the wrong decision once more she abandoned her mate. “I.. didn’t mean ter.. I just didn’t know wat ter do..” she thinks to herself. “I guess that be it then..” She gets to her feet and walks off into the storm away from the tribe. Srelok calling her spoiled and selfish over the link was not helping in the slightest. If it wasn’t for Kogra to come after Vanara and talk with her who knows what she would have done.

“Ashveil are you here?”. She looks over her shoulder to see Kogra approach, “Aye, I be here.” Confused that Kogra out of all orcs came out to find her and talk to her, she hasn’t been a big fan of Kogra since the last Kosh’harg, She managed to calm her down somewhat, she really seemed to care for Vanara, seeing her as the best friend she had in the tribe. She seemed to understand why Vanara acted the way she did, her biggest fear coming right in front of her eyes again, the fear of being all alone.

“As much as it is upsetting for you to see him talk to a bear over his own mate it is something that kept him from going insane. He still needs you but he also needs that bear for now.” Vanara nods slowly. “I see that now.. I shouldn’t have acted this way but I didn’t know wat ter do”. “If you don’t want it all to be lost you should come back and be there for him” Kogra said. Vanara gets to her feet and walks back to the camp with Kogra. She sits herself down away from the others hiding her feet between her chest and knees, she looks at the ground. “All I can do now is wait” she mutters low.
