Anniversary War (9/14)

"Withdraw! We pull back! Let them bleed dry for the night!"

The orcish Chieftain moved his feet as if there was a horde of infernals chasing behind him. It were not infernals, but whatever few remaining warriors of the Alliance that were chasing him, however. Both in front and behind him were countless of fellow warriors that answered the call to battle to teach the Alliance a harsh lesson. These warriors still survived. But already, many fellow warriors have fallen. And many more are to join them soon enough, no doubt.

This fight was done. And the right message had been given. The beginning of a new war is at hand. With the attack on Aerie Peak, the Wildhammer stronghold that served as a refuge for a battalion of warriors of the Alliance, there will be no turning back for either sides. This war will be an inevitable event that will no doubt escape no-one’s attention. The question is not when the next battle will be fought, but which side will be the first to strike, and how hard the blow itself will be.

Warriors from the Alliance and the Horde alike will once again be sharpening their best weapons and fixing their finest armour for the conflict to come. The only question is, will YOU do your part to fight for your faction’s honour? The fate of Azeroth is at stake, warrior! Now it is time for you to fulfill your destiny and sound the horns of battle yourself!


(( The Anniversary Wars have been an important tradition for the Defias Brotherhood realm ever since the very first year it existed. At September 14th, it falls to us, the current community, to once again make this Anniversary War a series of events worthy to remember, so that we may enter the fourth year with even more bloodshed and glory!

I’d hereby like to call upon all communities, guilds and even in dependants to once again join this year’s events to bring the WPvP that Defias Brotherhood has been so well known for back alive and kicking again. Whether this may be through your usual solo-WPvP killing or in all-out war events, will be up to you.

Public RP-PvP events will be posted in this thread, so that anyone who wishes to join will be free to participate and have his/her own taste of the grand battles that we have been producing for the past three years now. So, if you’ve any events you’d like to organize or battles that are in need of more warriors, don’t hesitate to post your notice here, so that we can add it to the list of events to come!

Saturday, September 13th:

Hello, Halaa!
It doesn’t happen very often that we see any large-scale battles in Outland. Which is a shame, because it offers several great opportunities to create epic battles much like last year’s battle at the Path of Glory. One of these places is Halaa, which is already a renowned place for PvPers to gather for some random WPvP battles. There’re rarely enough people around to make it look like a real war, however, so it’d be grand if we can get as many people together as possible at 19:00 server time to turn Halaa into one hellhole of skeletons.

Sunday, September 14th:

Ye olde Hillsbrad massacre
The Horde’s War Council will be attempting to once again wipe Southshore off the face of the Foothills on this day. Starting at 20:00, the Horde will be moving south from Tarren Mill and face whatever Alliance forces that may stand in their way towards Southshore.

Any able warriors that are brave enough to fight for the Horde’s honour will be free to join the fray to turn this once peaceful land into a wasteland of darkness all over again.
