The Bear and the Tigress

My eyes squinted, slowly opening as they adjusted to the dimly lit cabin. The only sound that reached my ears was the gentle breath of the orc cradled in my arms - and of course the humming of engines. I dare not move as to keep her as comfortable as possible. This wasn't so bad, bundled up in a mountain of furs with the only other soul on board who I truly cared about being beside - Despite being suspended mid-air aboard a screaming metal death tra- No.. That was but a back thought now, no need to ruin this moment with my own worries.

Something irritated the back of my neck, itching slightly as i craned my shoulders only to see the bulky form of Lian slumped behind us, a soft smile crept across my lips before simply nuzzling myself down within his warmth, making sure as to wrap up my wild-cat as best I could.

What time was it? Had days past, or simply hours?  I cared not in this moment, completely at ease against her skin, I simply gazed down upon her, enjoying her presence.. She had a way of softening my otherwise stern features, how? I have no idea. She has a way with the beasts afterall.

I could be myself with her, no need to build up the walls that surrounded me, she'd simply knock them down, I'd always spoken my mind, but she'd shown me how to speak my heart. I was hers and she was mine, a simple truth, but the way I liked it.

Whoever came up with that damned saying anyway? "Opposites attract" Hrrmph. My nose exhaled softly before shaking my head. Although it held some merit, despite our similarities we had our own mind and yet she completes me, making up for my own short-comings, I only hope I can do the same for her. I felt no worry, nor dread, despite showing my heart to her, easily torn apart if she wished, but I had no worry of that, no. I was hers and she was mine, nuzzling further down amongst the furs, her breath in unison with mine as she snorted and yelped softly in her sleep.

Even up this high the cold, bitter winds didn't bother me, she was my shield against the darkness, my light. My eyes began to close heavily, nestled against the warmth of my love. My mate, my wild-cat. The bear and the tigress.

So, you are basically using her as a blanket?
On a more serious note: very nice, very romantic. It's amazing how a certain person can bring out the romantic side of a fierce warrior.

Rhonya

She's not his blanket, he's her bed of course! :P
<3 Very nice, Mozzy, is nice to see his thoughts behind stuff sometimes like this! Moar! :D
