So! I was thinking here the other day, about D&D in our events and so forth, which honestly, mixed with watching too much "The big bang theory" has lead me to wanting to try D&D. So, does anyone know how? And if we can play it over skype or so? And if you want too of course! :) We can just figure out a day in this thread or over whisper. Cheers!

D&D is definitely possible over Skype, if memory serves. I even recall certain simple programs that allow you to play online, even though they're graphically very simply designed (it -is- still D&D we're talking about after all, since it's mostly your imagination to be used <_<). It's been aaages ago since I last had my try at it though, so maybe I'm out of date on what the latest 'trends' are or whatever. (On that note, I wouldn't mind having a try at it myself, though considering how long ago its been, I'll not doubt be quite slow in the head. Nothing new there though)

Well, i've never tried it before at all, so it might be something to look into, the downloadable one that is. But heck, if we can get one or two more, i'd be up for trying soon. :)

I am very tempted to say "yes", but I don't think I have time for it being a student and all, I even have skype (tho I have no exeprience with DnD nor any of those fancy books)

but I can give you some tips, look up this channel: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQj4ZJd2QxRHwVYQbMvcKdQ

that guy have 4 Rollplay shows they do on stream, 2 DnD, 1 Dark heresy and one random show I believe
They do use 2 programs, one called Roll20 I think (for the dice system) and one more for maps (no idea what it's name is)

Edit: Found the Dice system: http://roll20.net/
and you use it for the map system as well

I know this topic's a bit old, but I'm up for some DnD! Also if you're looking for a version, Pathfinder have all their rules up on their site, but to start you only need the Core Rulebook.

Would you be up for leading some though? Be thy dungeon master? :b Just the first time, we can switch so we all get to play.

Sure, but I've never played before and am still learning some rules, so it might take a bit.
