Cat
OKay then, i know that no-one actually knows me in real life, but i've been told that talking about bad stuff helps with the grief.

Last night my cat died suddenly of a undiagnosed heart condition. The truly sad thing was that he was a young cat you was  healthy until then, just 5 minutes before he died,he was running around the christmas tree and i had to tell him off for being a pest. 5 minutes later my sister comes into the room screaming that he had collapsed.

To think when i first saw him i laughed because i thought he was asleep! I checked his airways and mouth to see if he had swallowed or been poisoned by something. Unfortunately not, and despite attempts to resuscitate him he became brain dead within the minute.

Today he is to be cremated and buried. Now I know this isn't your problem and you probably Don't want to hear this, but thanks for reading, it means a lot.
Old uncle Nazgrel;felling trees,
Cut his legs off at the knees.
"I'll sew them back on!" cried his daughter,
"No!" he said, "I like them shorter"

Claws

Sorry to read this Karak.  :'(
Pets are family in lots of way's.
Just try to remember him for the fun times in his short life.
Even his fun times which were you bad times hold good memories.
Only time is the great healer.

((On a lighter note what is this about)).

One way to heal, is to share your troubles.
And as Claws said, it is always good to remember the times that were good.
Loosing a pet is like loosing a member of your family, so my heart goes out to you.
And should you have any further need of sharing like this or otherwise, I am sure that myself and many others - even on a "faceless" place like the internet - will listen.

Take care of yourself.
I want to be just like you. I figure all I need, is a lobotomy and some tights.

Braggha

Bad to hear, im sorry for you cat.

I like cats too (and ever have one, tho by the look of it, it seems my cat have absolutely no brain to die, hehe), and i know you pain. Still, stay strong as true Orc you are!

Kozgugore

Losing a pet can be as big of a loss as a family member sometimes. Maybe are even considered members of the family. I've got seven cats over here, and used to have two rabbits, so I know the feeling of loss it can give if they offer you comfort like I know they can tend to give me at times. Hope things work out for you out thar.

Sorry to hear Karak :< Time is your best medicine for now, and I hope you enjoyed the presence of your cat as much was possible. And don't blame yourself for the passing of your cat. Fate happens.

Just, remember your cat and the good times and the spirit will live.
Because orcs are green..Doesn't mean they can do photosynthesis..Or can they?

Bugor

Alot of people I know in the guild have animals so i'm sure we all feel your pain. I'm really sorry to hear this as yes, a cat can become an equal part of the family. As everyone else has said, remember the good times.

Since this concerns the same subject anyway.

The way you laid there,
Comfortable and without worry,
Waiting for that moment to come,
Tears making my eyesight blurry.

Days we spent together,
Seeing you grow up,
But now, your body is failing,
Yet your soul still lively as a pup.

Rest now, my dear comrade,
Sunny and far fields wait,
A place worthy of your love,
In the end, such is your fate.

The first and foremost obstacle in our life is our own failing body. After not even two years, Dari's body ended up failing with each passing week, eventually unable to even walk around properly without tumbling down on the ground every two seconds. He's one of the kittens that were born in our own house - needless to say it's a crazy thing, watching one's body reach its peak in such a short time as it grows, only to fail so quickly once again, making it far too short for my comrade to enjoy its playful life to the fullest.

It's a terrible thing when anyone's life is cut short, especially when that someone is such a treasured part of your family.

My own moggie died last year at the age of 22 after going deaf, blind and had a heart condition. I don't remember a since year of my life without her before she died, I even took her with me to university. (I tried not to take her with me but she stopped eating when I left home so she had to come along in the end).

I really do understand how much this must hurt you and my thoughts go out to you during this painful time.
There be more than four elements, there be five! Folk always ferget the element o' SURPRISE!!!
