Throm'ka, brothers and sisters.

It's been a long while since I've seen your faces and worn our banner but after... What's it been? Three? Four years?... I miss home.
Been talking to the ol' chieftain for a day now and I wish I had the time to join back with you lot.

So, where's Mhokdor now? If you've read this far, you might care about the old loudmouth.
I'm in Breda, Netherlands, for more than half of my time. Working myself into an early grave for game design and finishing the second year on the course, taught by professionals, a path that started with what Red Blade taught me.

I also make armour. Might upload an image with full armour just for bragging rights!
Or not... Makes me look like a black, scaled buckethead.

How is Red Blade?

Well. hello orcs! Long time no post!

I'd like to invite them going to the Dutch Elf Fantasy Fair a chance to meet the great, the grand... - Alright, lets be truthful.

Scoundrel moi!
If any of the old fellers or lasses want to meet up with me, I'll be attending both days and I'll be at the Castle garden grounds closeby to the entry, at the center of the gardens.

Uncertain of where that is but you're keen? - PM me, or ask Greggar, Gruulg or Kozgugore for my MSN/E-mail!

Hope to see some orcs!

(Unfortunately no ORB costume this year. Wastelander instead! - Oh, eh... I can't add any images of it.)

-Eh... Ye, just contact me on Michiel.w8@gmail.com and I'll send some I&D shots your way...
I never got that whole "Internet" stuffs.

Unfortunately I didn't bring a camera meself that day, so there's only two pictures of me through friends - maybe I can find some on the webs from other people, who knows - unfortunately the two orcish pictures they got of me are... Well, crap.
I posed for them, standing up straight and whatnot, where as the entirely day I tried to slouch, grumble and whatnot to fit in character. So excuse the ogre-ish look-alike in Red Blade clothes!

Event Planning / Shady Negotiations
« on: February 13, 2009, 08:01:55 PM »
As you walk passed the notice board you feel as if something watches you from nearby, as you look around you see two glowingorbs, just inches from you. The darknessenvelopping the orbs take the shape of the upper body of a man. Without sound it points its fingers at a crudely written letter.

Tribe of Red Blade, for too long have we waited now for your response and as agreed we now come to you.
A gathering must be held soon for our negotiations regarding an alliance as our forces can not wait little longer.

The twentieth this month your presence is requested within Death's Breach, beneath our necropolis of Acherus, our acolytes can conjure portals and summoning sites to bring you and your warriors there, if you wish for us to gather on other grounds send a runner to us.

The night itself must end with results, whether you take and allow us or refuse us and deny us any of your grounds.

Blessed by our ancestors and heroes,
Neshkor of Acherus

((A cross-guild event with the Red Blade and Ebon Hold, I hope for both Red Blade and Ebon Hold to gather at 19:30 and to begin at 20:00, however I'll leave Kozgugore to organising your part on this.
Friday 20th))

The Elf Fantasy Fair in Utrecht (The Netherlands) is coming up this April and I'm curious, is any orc comin'?

It's a lovely event with people practicing old professions, Live-Action-Role-Players (That's LARP) and folks, includin' me, that hop around in costumes for the good ol' fun of it.
I'll add the website once I figure out which one it is... Tough pick.

Game Related / The Horde Military.
« on: November 09, 2008, 02:06:11 PM »
Mutcha and I have been thinking about the Horde Military last night, and we came up with the following:

We'd like to make a piece of the Horde Military for roleplaying (Not a guild) to promote the grunts and the such and to add more RP-possibilities, it can also increase RP in areas such as Orgrimmar, where the occasional-RP is not that occasional depending on what time of day you walk 'round, but that could be just me.

If this interests you, read on!

We'd like to gather a group, starting with 4 or so in total and maybe expanding later, at first probably only for orcs, and then accepting trolls and tauren, our group however will wear Horde-uniforms.

The main thought behind it all is to be epic, without being epic.
What's more impressive to you? A pack of four grunts in identical uniforms or one bloke in season 4 showin' off what he's got?

We've already set up four ranks for our group:
rank 1 being the Grunt, wearing Grunt uniforms, shoulderpieces show whether they are archers or melee combatants, shaman wear Stonecloth robes or alike.

rank 2 being the Stone Guard, wearing Grunt uniforms with several improved aspects.

rank 3 being the Champion, wearing the Champion's battle-armour.

rank 4 being the Warlord, wearing Warlord armour.

Don't be afraid of the lovely PvP-items mentioned now, they cost nothing and are easy to obtain, my guess is they'll be extremely easy to get once WOTLK is out.

Also, some of you may wonder "Doesn't this clash with the guild-ranks?", no, it doesn't as our group only functions when you're on-duty, meaning you wear your uniform and roleplay your rank and such, whenever we're with the guild then our group has little meaning to the leadership of Red Blade.

Also, bonuses of this group would be that I'd like to organise special events for parttakers and of-course, more RP, try roleplaying a grunt all day when you have no-one else to do it with, that gets boring after a few days.

I'll add pictures of the planned uniforms and whatnot, if you're interested leave a post! Or discuss troubles you have with this.

Event Planning / Ashenvale Escort
« on: July 27, 2008, 06:08:02 PM »
Orcs! The MacCyr Solutions have turned to us again to escort their caravan through Ashenvale for much needed parts and supplies for the Warsong clan!

This caravan should be waiting for us at the eighth horn at the Zoram Strand, ninth day of the next month, the beach west of Ashenvale, and we will need to escort them to the gates of the barrens, then finally to the Warsong lumber camps to the west.

This doesn't mean we start killing off the elfies on sight, nor their settlements!

We'll first need to get their caravan through Ashenvale before we get their sentinels after us, I've been given a map with the route we'll use, these have proven to be safest and most reliable according to their undead leader.

They pay handsomely and we do the Horde good by helping this caravan! I will be in Thrallmar at the day but do NOT mess this up! Lumber has been in high demand and their shredders have been broken for some time now!

Mhokdor Spinesnapper,
Oathbound of the Tribe,
Warlord of Frostwolf.

((Highfist and I have been organising an ashenvale event, escorting the MacCyr Solutions crew! But this time it won't be a boring lonesome walk though! Expect some alliance to bite.

We'll begin at 20:00 at the Zoram Strand with the MacCyr Solutions crew, there will be some rules to this little game though! I will post the rules on the day of the event itself, you'll need both your RP and your PvP gear.))

((Note that the event on the 2nd of August has been removed.))

The Campfire / Hail, Warlord!
« on: July 12, 2008, 01:58:33 AM »
Mhokdor stood before Grommash Hold and looked up at the great fort, his mind still on the raids that had occurred that night, and the defences he lead.
He walked forward and saluted the Kor’kron guards, once inside he looked around the large round chamber,  searching for anyone to explain what he was there for, but he saw no-one signalling for him, so he waited at a table for a moment, thinking of what to do or say and he swallowed, walking to the hall leading to Thrall’s chambers.
A Kor’kron raised his hand and barked Mhokdor to halt, he inspected Mhokdor armour and signets and then nodded, allowing him entrance.

Mhokdor blinked a few times, getting his tired eyes used to the bright light in the chamber,  he looked at the Kor’kron and then walked towards Thrall’s seat, lowing himself to his knees before his warchief.
”You called for me, Warchief?”
-“Yes, general Spinesnapper,” Mhokdor couldn’t resist smiling of pride upon hearing his leader saying the words ‘General Spinesnapper’, “You have fought many years for our clan now, Spinesnapper,” Mhokdor’s heart began pounding faster and faster, “Began as a shaman, and mastering the skills of melee, defending our lands, destroying our enemies and training our young ones and this night you ensured Orgrimmar’s safety by organising a defence
Mhokdor stayed quiet until he noticed Thrall wouldn’t continue, “I fight with pride for my clan, Warchief, I would die for it.”
Thrall nodded and raised his voice, “General Mhokdor, your service to the Horde and your knowledge and tactics in battle have proven invaluable to many victories in Alterac Valley, for your continued efforts I reward you with the rank of Warlord of Frostwolf!” Mhokdor bowed his head and smiled broadly, he had achieved his goal, “Arise, Warlord!” Mhokdor stood up and saluted his Warchief, “Thank you Warchief, I will continue my campaign and the eradication of the dwarves in our mountains.”
Warchief Thrall nodded and saluted Mhokdor in a similar manner, “Your armour will be waiting in the Hall of Legends, together with your new signets.”
Mhokdor nodded and bowed, “Dismissed, Warlord.”

Mhokdor stood outside of the chamber, panting lightly, smiling broadly, thinking ‘Warlord Spinesnapper’ as he made his way to the exit of the hold.

Event Planning / Training by Mhokdor.
« on: July 10, 2008, 05:28:15 AM »
After our second training it seems you bunch can be shaped into something.
We'll gather in the Crossroads the 17th this month at the eigth horn of day for another night of training!

This time we will work on team work and practice how to riposte, hamstring, demoralisation of the enemy and strengthen your allies using the top of your voice!

Melee combatants will want to take with them:
-A simple shield.
-A blunt axe, hammer or sword, which may be purchased in Ratchet for a low price.
-A blunt two-hand axe, hammer or sword, which may be purchased in Ratchet for a low price.
-Your standard combat clothing and/or armour and standard weapons.

Archers and gunners will need:
-Their ranged weapon.
-Arrows with no tip or hollow bullets.
-A blunt axe, hammer or sword, which may be purchased in ratchet for a low price, either one or two-handed.

Warlocks will require:
-A blunt melee weapon.

Shaman will require:
-A blunt mele weapon.

You will use the weapons written above to prevent you orcs killing eachother in training. We will visit Ratchet before the training should you be unable to purchase your required training supplies

((Training event! 20:00 in the Crossroads July the 17th!  Hope to see a bunch of you! If any questions, notices or otherwise, do post :) ))

The Campfire / Step up, orc!
« on: July 04, 2008, 04:47:04 AM »
Corpses littered the field, the great walls, the bunkers, blood as far as the horizon.
Green cased in metal stood tall, looking over the grounds…

Mhokdor grinned wickedly, his centurion armour was shattered and little more than scrap, his fur cloaks shredded and his axe reduced to a metal club in one hand and the battered blade in the other.
He wiped the blood from his lips and raised his arms high in the air: “Victory of death!” he yelled and his pack followed...

The next few hours would be dedicated to making camp inside the Alliance fortifications, using their walls and traps against them, not long did it take to repair the barricades and be ready to fend off any attacks, once finished Mhokdor would have to leave his troops for an hour, he began walking back through the snow to the closest horde camps and he took his wolf back to Frostwolf Village, he always wondered why he couldn’t send a wolf-rider to report so he could stay at the front, but proposing that could result in having thought to be lazy… Or old.
He continued his path to the village, keeping himself occupied by pulling out broken arrows and even a dwarven hand from inbetween his shoulder-plates, after breaking the fingers and pulling out the nails he threw it away, nearing the village.
He dismounted his wolf and walked past the twin Frostwolf towers, looking at the huge hut of his general and slowly walking inside.

An orc dressed in dark red and purple Warlord armour spoke with Drek’thar, Mhokdor recognised this orc as High Warlord Ripper, a title well deserved for an orc that would literally rip his enemies apart with his bare hands.
Mhokdor stood silently waiting for them to finish, he looked for the Warmasters bit could see none, he became impatient after what must had been half an hour and shifted his weight from one leg to another, making his armour scratch and clash against each other to get their attention.
Rippter turned and eyed Mhokdor, the blood made his armour seem as dark as a Warlord’s, ripper saluted Mhokdor with a pound on the chest, as did Drek’thar.
Mhokdor returned, “Lok’tar” he said and awaited either to speak.
Ripper nodded at Drek’thar and began: “Lok’tar Centurion Spinesnapper, you know High Warlord Ripper,” he continued without waiting for an answer, ‘The High Warlord will take command of the front lines Spinesnapper, I require you to transfer your command to him…”
Mhokdor nodded and bowed before Ripper, his right pauldron fell to the ground but no attention was paid to it, “Swobu, general, where will I be stationed?” Ripper took off his helmet, his face was grim, “Yer in front wit’ me” he shouted, Mhokdor grunted at Ripper, he continued, “Step up Champion Spinesnapper! Get ya armour fixed an’ get ready ‘ter set out! By next mornin’ we go!”

Mhokdor left the tent with a huge grin from ear to ear, he had now made it to Champion, closer and closer to his goal, the challenges ahead however would take more than simple experience and mere luck…

The spirits weren't forced.

Mhokdor was a Shaman

Thorg and Simulo are shamans and the true spellcasters of the ritual, Greggar was a speaker, not required to be a shaman in this ritual.

The ritual was so that non-shaman could see multiple spirits without silly drinks or whatever.

Of-course you don't have quests with rifts, the idea was that the invisible barrier between spirits and living would be lifted, that way the living and unliving could interact freely near the "Ritual site" (Greg, Thorg, Sim and Mhok's square formation)

And you can easily change raid colour, plus I didn't use raid as soon as the spirits came because Mhok is alive.

Right, done my share of banter.

(And I'm not sure I answered all <.< >.> typo-mania)
