The Campfire / Socks ?
November 19, 2017, 12:06:47 AM
Sitting by herself which was normal for her with a small fire burning at her feet Claws took out her tattered journal from her back pack and opens it at the last page which she had written in.
In big writing all it said was “ALL GONE”.
There was water marks on the page which had caused the ink to run.
She ran her hands over the script and again she felt it a deep sorrow of past actions.
Her intentions where to once again start to write her thoughts down but her mind could not come up with the words.
Throwing the journal to the ground she laid down to look at the clouds passing her by.
It had been hard in her home lands since the emergence of the Legion.
She slowly drifted to sleep more peaceful then she had in a long time.

Claws jumped up with a start both her blades drawn a smell she had not sensed in her nose for a long time over whelmed her senses.
“Socks” she mumbled shaking her head “Old wet socks”.
Taking a long inward breath she could not shake the smell, but there was nobody around.
“Your imagination old girl she said out loud”.
A light breeze blew across her camp fire causing her discarded journal to open at the very last page within it.
Scribbled on the last page was a simple line drawing she had done many many moons ago when she first started on the path of adventuring in Azeroth under the drawing was a few words she could not remember writing “All the time you smell me socks you know we are around”. With a big X it was signed.
Oznack.

A big broad smile spread across her face and she let out a howl of delight.
Kicking out the fire she throw her belongings back into her bag still howling with delight “I know that smell”.
THERE COMING BACK.

The Campfire / The chest.
July 07, 2015, 08:10:05 PM
          The chest.

Kei awoke from her light sleep with a start.
Her hand moved around the worn handle of her dagger ready to strike.
She searched the darkness but she knew deep down nobody was there it was the same nightmare that had awoke her again.
The same nightmare she had been having for the last few weeks.
Bathed in sweat she laid back down on her cot, not wishing to go back to sleep.

The day started with its normal red glow to the sky and the sound from the traders setting up there stalls.
Kei sat up and looked at her light armour it was her turn to do the rounds of the city, her turn again to patrol, it seemed it was always her turn.

She stopped and looked at her wolf mask on the cabinet beside the cot.
Lifting it of the stand she turned it over and over in her hands.
Something was wrong something had changed she could not put her finger on it but there was a change in the air.
She sat on the edge of the cot for what seemed like hours not moving but starring at her wolf helm.
She finally dropped the helm to the floor and her gaze moved to the iron bound chest at the foot of her cot.

It was a very old chest.
Rust pitted the iron bands running around it, the lock looked like it would drop at the slightest touch.
But she knew what looked like a simple lock was way beyond her skills or anybody else’s she also knew no force open it without the key.

The key.
She fingered an old thong which was bound around her neck, it was made of leather which had long lost its colour, tied to it was that key.
“You will know when the time is right to open the chest and not before”.
Her fathers’ words to her rang in her head.
Was now that time?

Her hands felt clammy as she pulled at the thong which snapped without any great effort.
How could that be it had been around her neck for years why had it snapped so easily now.
She moved the key towards the lock which started to glow a faint blue, hesitating she pulled back from the lock, sweat now ruing down her neck over her naked body.
She knew that she must finish what she had started she knew that now was the time to open the chest.

Kei once again offered the key up to the lock.
The lock pulsed blue as she turned the key there was a soft click as it sprang open and fell to the floor where it rusted away to nothing before her eyes.

“Well I can’t stop now I guess”, Kei thought to herself.
Lifting the lid slowly on what felt like new well-oiled hinges she peered into the chest.
There was a dark blue leather scrap covering the contents of the box, strange leather she could not identify.
Lifting the cover and laying it on the ground next to the chest she looked in to the chest.
Two blades crossed over each other, with a glow from within the metal they were made of.
She removed the blades from the chest and noticed they had no weight to them.
They had a strange glove like arrangement; she slowly placed her hand into one of the gloves and was thrown back from the chest into the wall behind her.
She frantically struggled to remove the glove from her hand but it would not come off, it was as if it had fused to her very skin.
As the initial shock from the glove war off she noticed how comfortable  it felt as if it was meant to be there it felt like part of her arm.
She looked at it the blades where thin, far thinner than any weapon she had seen before, but they were strong and sharp.
She tested the edge on one of the legs supporting her bed cutting easily with no resistance it was like cutting hot wax.
The bed crashed to the floor now on three legs.
A grin spread across Kei’s face.
She was now much calmer and thinking of the enemy she could easily dispatch with the blades, and with that calmness she found she was able to slide her hand from the glove as easily as she had put it on.
She placed it with the other blade and looked into the chest once again.

There was a full set of night blue armour made from the same strange leather which had covered the contents to the chest.
It was light and supple but felt like it would have the stopping power of full plate.
Removing it from the box piece by piece she laid it out on the floor.
At the bottom of the chest wrapped up in a dark cloak was a helm.
A helm the likes she had never seen before.
She removed the cloak and helm from the confines of the chest.
Kei laid them down with the rest of the armour looking at it for a long time.
The chest decayed into a pile of dust as if its time on this world was over.

“Well it’s now or never I guess” she said to herself.
Picking up the pants she inspected them more closely, they would be a tight close fit no room for undergarments a fact that she welcomed with a wide grin she got her self-dressed into the armour piece by piece.

It fit like a second skin, tight in the right places but it gave her a freedom she had not known before while wearing armour, it felt warm but not hot like other leather did.
She bent down and picked up the helm, it was then she saw it had no eye sockets, how could she see with that on.
She held it up to her face holding it just inches from her eyes, she could see right through the leather as if it was not there.
It had no straps to hold it in place just cut outs where her ears would go through.
She put it on and was amazed how secure it was.
Her eyes focused more clearly to her surroundings her vision and hearing senses became more acute.
The room began to spin Kei fell to her knees what had she done her mind was in turmoil, she blacked out.

“Kei! Kei you in there, ya going ta miss ya patrol Kei you up yet?”
Kei woke up from her nightmare with a start the same night mare she had been having for weeks.

“I’m coming ya peon keep ya ead in ya bucket”.
She jumped out of her cot, a cot that for some reason was only resting on three legs.
At the side of the cot on the floor neatly folded was a suit of blue armour, “What the?” with two crossed blades, she turned to the cabinet beside the cot on the stand was a blue helm and not her normal wolf helm.

Red Blade Records / Clâws
July 07, 2015, 06:54:56 PM
Name: Kei to a very few.

Alias: Claws to most.

Rank: Now True Blood.

Age: Old enough to know of the old Blades.

Gender: Female.

Race: Orc.

Clan: Clan Redblade.

Class: Assassin.

Alignment: Lawful Neutral to the Tribe now more Chaotic Neutral

Family:
Farther Nazgrel.
Mother Teku.
Brothers and sisters, The Blades

Known Enemies: Too many to name.

Personality:

Having been at the front of too many battles for the tribe and within the tribe.
She sees herself now as a quite solitary Orc reflecting on old times now lost to the tribe.
Once quick to anger now she would rather just sit and drink her milk under a fallen tree watching the world go by.
But that anger is always with her ready to boil out whether it is with blade or her renowned barbed tongue.
She is very hard to befriend this is mainly due to losing to many “Friends” in battle.
So she now prefers to keep her distance not wanting the heart ache that goes with loss.
Unless you have shed blood with her for the tribe or proven yourself worthy of wearing the tribal colours she would more than likely just pass you by with a curt bow to the colours not the Orc wearing them.
She will poke fun at any orc she deems worthy of it not meaning any harm or disrespect but rather it is her way of testing the victim’s metal.
Her personal respect has to be earned no matter what the tribal standing you have.
If you are not of the tribe then the task is that much harder.
She has no secrets from the tribe and speaks as she sees fit to all some see this as disrespectful but others see it at as a truth not often voiced.

History:

It is here that my story starts.
Thrall needed to lessen the burden on his self and in powered his personal body guard Nazgrel to aid him in the running in the day to day maters of the now vast Orc Empire.
Nazgrel became trusted and much liked by the Horde and even respected by the Humans for his Honour both on and off the field of battle.
He lived by his own code which was looked upon by some with strange amusement for that of a great warrior.

1.   Be selective in your prey do not kill for the love of killing that only takes you down the path of the berserkers and once again to the doors of the Legion.
2.   Be wary of all whom use the dark arts especially the warlocks for it was these that plunged our kind into the service of the Legion.
3.   Trust is built upon time, trust once and see what develops from that trust.
4.   Never look down on an Orc of lower station we all started there even the greatest of our warriors and leaders.
5.   And above all nether ever take the blood of an Orc unless he is your mortal enemy.

In time Nazgrel took an Orc wife Teku who he had rescued from a Human raiding party among the hills of the Barrens.
Teku was of a wild character which drew Nazgrel to her, not knowing a family and only a handful of trusted friends, she was street wise living in the back alleys of Alliance and Horde town’s coming and going as she liked an Orc of great stealth known to her few friends as Ghost.
The marriage was however short lived as she could not live the life of Nazgrel within the confines of the Horde city.
She left Nazgrel with great reluctance and on good terms and vowed to return to him when she felt she could settle down.
Nazgrel was torn between the Horde nation and his love for his wife but could not leave the Horde but understood his wife’s dilemma has he too had a deep longing for the open tundra again.
He provided for all her needs and gave to her a great wealth so she would not need for anything and also two loyal blade warriors as her personal body guard.

Unbeknown to Nazgrel, Teku was with child when the final day of her departure came and she vowed to herself that she would not revile this to him as it would tear Nazgrel apart having to then decide between the Horde and what would be his extended family.
She made her retainers swear a blood oath not to revile her secret, but in return she had to swear in return to let the knowledge be known to the off spring when he / she came of age of their heritage as well as Nazgrel his self.

And now that brings me to my life.
I was brought up not knowing my heritage.
I was known simply as Claws because of my fast and unyielding way of battle.
(Although this is not my given name).
I was always kept away from others to keep my identity from becoming knowledge to the Humans whom would go to any lengths to get hold of the child of one of their greatest adversaries.
Except for the company of my mother’s retainers whom came to be my tutors and closest friends. They taught me all they could about the way of the blade and bow my only other company were the teachers brought in from around the known world to instruct me in the ways of diplomacy and commerce which even to this day I have little use and time for.

At the coming of age was told by my mother of my heritage which she had sworn to do.
It came as a great shock to me; I had always thought that I was just another unwanted illegitimate child of some noble and not the wanted child of some Great warrior in the personal ranks of the greatest of all warlords Thrall.
After many days of soul searching I went to my mother telling her that I wished to be known to my farther and would go to him in the Horde city which she agreed to as her blood oath had dictated.
On my departure she came to me and gave me two wonders blades both which had belong to Nazgrel himself and would be the proving of my blood line.
She told me of the unwritten code of honour which my farther lived by and which she had endeavoured to live and hoped I would carry this code on.
I later found she had added some of her own

1.   Be selective in your prey do not kill for the love of killing.
2.   Be wary of all whom use the dark arts.
3.   Trust is built upon time, trust once and then see what develops from that trust.
4.   Never look down on an Orc of lower station they are the back bone of us all even the greatest of our warriors and leaders started at the bottom.
5.   And above all nether ever take the blood of an Orc unless he is your mortal enemy.
6.   Remember not all have the luxury of your upbringing and are thrown into their destiny some willing to be, some not so willing but just carried along by circumstance.
7.   Trust in your blade and your own skills do not rely on others to come to your aid.
8.   And keep your identity safe from those whom may show you or your family harm.

                                            I ‘m known as
                                                       Claws

And yet my life story is not yet done I can often be seen sitting with the elite guards, and even some times Thrall himself.
Many nights she has spent talking of great battles and deeds long forgotten in the history of our great nation but always in the hearts and minds of our great old warriors.
And when sitting there I see in the faces of the warriors the eyes of my father and the longing for once again the simple life.
Things you may know about this character:
Despite all her outward demeanour she has always the utmost respect for the leaders of the tribe in all there un-relentless work they carry out to keep the tribe alive.
She has been there and done it all herself but now takes a back seat having been mentally burnt out with them task’s.
She is full of sorrow and has an empty heart just waiting for the day she too will be with old and forgotten brothers and sisters again God’s willing.

Memorable Quotes:
Trust your Blade it will not stab you in the back.
Remember the journey is not the final destination it's just another chapter.

Spoiler: Story from Kei's Journal • show

Out on patrol again it was always Kei’s lot to take out the young ones to patrol the nearby villages.
It was an early spring morning they had just got outside the gates to Orgrimmar when Kei noticed a tatty old leather bond book lying in the dirt.
Picking it up she opened it and was amused to find it was a journal which belong to one of the gate wardens Kelg.
A lot of the pages had been ripped out and used for purposes she did not wish to think about and others were totally unreadable.

“This should be entertaining and maybe I might even find some information which could be of use to me” she quietly snickered to herself.

“Oy Orcs carry on I will catch you up along the road and maybe I surprise ya so be alert and ready” she shouted to the patrol she was leading, “Grim take the lead and think of it as ah test for ya”.

She made her way to an out crop of rocks and climbed into the middle of them out of sight of any that may pass.

She laid down placing one arm behind her head for support and started to read the journal.

Day 231
I’m on main gate again sure the captain got it in for me since I got caught with his daughter.
Nothing going on just the normal coming and going with the exception of our Lord Thrall went out at sun up with a patrol of them elite Orcs he keeps around him.
They get all the best grub and armour and stuff, when will it be my turn I can fight as well as any of dem.

Day 235
A lot of them flappy types came through the gates today they say there our brothers in arms, don’t trust um they up to no good I say.
Always looking down there long faces at us, whose land is this any ways should string um all up by their ears for the buzzards ta eat.
Got in ta bit of bother with the captain again ta day not my fault did not see the little gobo trying ta get in ta the city as I opened the gate should not of been standing behind it.
Took me ages ta clean up the mess, never thought that much could come out of a little squashed gobo.

Day 236
Some things up lot of me brothers and sisters fighting outside da city practice they tell me for the big push.
We Orcs like ta fight with them Troll types they easy ta smash.
Had a close call today one of them zep thing err ma jigs crashed and got stuck in the front entrance had ta burn it out to get it moved should of told the gobo engineers ta move out first I fink but shit happens.

Day 237
Seen dat she orc again today made me go weak at me knees the way she wears her armour does not leave much to me fin-kings should not be allowed still it did brighten up me day, all dat flesh squashed into that armour, bah better go take a quick dip in the river.

Day 238
Been given ah 2 day pass caught me a hummey trying ta sneak in da gate.
Would have got in as well if I had not been so alert.
Well alert and ah bit lucky was doing what comes naturally after a night out with me mates and 15 mugs of dat dolfs ale, did not know he was hiding in the corner till he screamed out not sure if he screamed because of what he saw or that he was wizzed on, lucky for him it was not a hour earlier or he would have been a bit more messy opps here comes the captain.

Day 240
Ahh me poor ead it urts.

Day 241
It seems dat hummey I caught waz ah spy and that after he talked due to threat of being sat in da wizz barrel told the bosses the hummeys where coming so we have all been given new shinny weapons, got me ah big axe.

Day 242
Da hummeys came today at sun rise waz not worth getting out of me bed for did not last long.
Got into trouble again for throwing me new axe away it was no good it bent when I whacked me first hummey bet it was made by one of them flappys they got no idea how to make ah good axe.
Did better with me bare fist oh and ah hummey leg fink I might keep it to hang over me bed just in case they try to give me another one of the flappy axes.

The journal jumped a few pages which had been removed.

Day 263
Me Lord Thrall is back came in da gate shouting out his orders ta call out the guard glad I was on gate duty or I would be on me way to what they call da Outlands with the rest of them being ah gate Walden does have is good points after all.
The captain did not look to happy, saw him turn back to me with ah face like ah slapped hog as he marched down da road with the rest of them.
Perhaps a visit to the captain’s daughter is in order tonight.

Day 264
Bah honest it not my Orcling he got wrong colour hair now I know why da Captain been given me funny looks and hard time.
Always knew she was ah bad one.

Day 265
Saw da Red Blade tribe ride out of da gates ta night like they were being chased by a dragon.
Now dats ah tribe ta be part of strong and honourable.
Lead by a big hunter I fink cause he had one of deem big wolves ruing with him and pig sticker strapped to his back.
Last one out was ah she Orc who just laughed at me would not like ta cross that one that’s for sure.
A Sly smirk spread across Kei faces as she carried on reading from the journal.
When me days are done with da city guard I going ta see what it takes to join that tribe.

Day 266
Dem stinky Trolls from the empire of some thing or other stirring up trouble again they need ta be told whose place dis is.
What with them thieves also showing their faces in the drag again about time they were all frown out the city.
Give the city back to us Orc I say, well may be the cow men and ladies can come in but not them others, get feed up picking up bones and things that keep dropping of them dead ones.

Day 267
Spoke to one of them Orcs from the Red Blades today asked what I need ta do ta join them told to seek out some Orc called Kozzey or some think like that.

Kei stretched out her arms and let out a long yawn looking up to the sky she saw the sun was already past its midday point in the sky.
“Bah have ta finish this later”, she stuffed the journal into her pack and in one move was sitting astride her war mount.
“Now which way did that lot go?”

Game Related / Will people please get a grip
October 28, 2014, 08:32:26 PM
I know I’m going to get slated flamed and all that for this but what the hell water of a ducks back. :P
Will you people in charge please, please get a grip of the IC chat?
I’m no prude or am I stupid enough to not realise that it is now an excepted part of everyday life.
(As far as younger people are concerned).
But can you stop the swearing in IC chat.
It has never happened before since day 1 of the Red Blades and I’m sure you older members out there will agree it was a recognised Tribal law written or otherwise.

As posted on: 07 January 2008.

This has been brought up before but just a reminder to the newer members who may not be aware of it.

Swearing will not be tolerated on the open Chat.
That being Guild Chat, Say, Yell or Raid.
Do not show your ignorance by doing it.
You may think that the word you are using is mild but to others it may not be so.
If you cannot talk without swearing then say nothing or do what others do compromise with an alternative word.
What you say in whisper is up to you as an individual as long as it does not offend the recipient of the whisper.
Remember there are younger people on the servers let’s not drag ourselves down.

It ruined OOC chat and it ruined raid / party chat now it is slowly coming into IC chat it just shows that we are lowering our standards to that of all the other groups.
Come up with your own Orcish words.

Please do not let it into the last bastion of a great group of people.
And let us be at least a little bit respectful, after all swearing is just a word used by those who do not have the vocabulary intelligence to use a different word.
Or so they say. ???

The Campfire / From the Journal of Kei
January 06, 2014, 10:10:13 PM
My memories of old and some not so old.
From the Journal of Kei

My personal report to Alkesha my Matriarch and the Officers, Tribe of the Red Blades for their eyes only.
She has been found.

This was all that was written on the parchment handed to me by Alkesha.
But that was all I needed to know.
The she was Teku my mother.
Teku wife to Nazgrel first aid to Thrall
Thrall although not of my blood my uncle by name.
She had taken me as a child on a self-imposed exile away from the great city.
I was always kept away from others to keep our identity from becoming knowledge to the Humans whom would go to any lengths to get hold of the child or wife of one of their greatest adversaries.
But the un-thinkable had happened she had been found and taken as a hostage.

Yes the parchment said it all.

A red mist came over me as I ran to my father.
I found him in the main chamber of the citadel a crumpled visage of an Orc sitting on the great steps before the throne speaking with Thrall.
“Call out the garrison we march on Stormwind” Thrall thundered.
I had nether seen my Lord Thrall in such a rage.
The citadel became a hive of activity to carry out the Lords orders.
“STOP THIS MADNESS”, in between hart rending sobs, the words came from my father.
“Ya cannot do this she knew the risk’s involved”

The citadel came to a dead stop; all eyes looking at Thrall never had any one dare speak in such a manner.
Thrall bent down and picked my farther up from the floor in his massive arms.
“Come my friend we will talk in private Claws come this concerns you also”.
I was led away to my Lords private rooms.
We sat; Thrall sent for strong sprits and ordered for “Qulquest” to attend him in his chambers.
This name was unknown but for some reason a sense of foreboding came over me.

The bear skin drapes which covered the door way opened and in walked a tall slight figure draped in an old dirty cloak which completely covered from head to foot.
“You sent for me master”.
The figure with a great flurry removed the cloak and standing just feet away from me was a she elf.
On instinct alone I jumped at the figure blades drawn, but I was stopped by the powerful hand of Thrall in mid-air as he caught me like a rag doll.
“Hold Claws”, his voice boomed out “This is one I trust tis whom brought the report of your mother to us”.

“Greetings Claws I wish we had met under far better circumstances” the words came with a hint of danger and sarcasm to them.
“Tell us all once again what has befallen Teku and leave nothing out Qulquest, and Claws you will treat Qulquest with respect”
Thrall voice boomed as he placed me back on my feet.
“You maybe one of my assassins but you are not the only one” Thrall said with a sly wink.
Qulquest once again gave her report telling how Teku had been found due to the searching’s of a renegade warlock by magical means, whom had sold the information to the Bishop of Stormwind a human who saw all Orcs as abominations and it was his duty to eradicate all Orcs and now he had the means to start what he saw as a holy war.
And how she was taken in chains to the capital city of Stormwind, deep inside alliance territory to a great building called the cathedral and put on show for all to see the wife and abomination of the great Nazgrel.

“I will free her”

The words came from me without any thought.
I was num; all I had was a deep hatred of all humans which was now bubbling up to the surface my life meant nothing.
“Kei although your abilities may be great you cannot do this” Thrall said with a hand on my shoulder.
“Perhaps she can my Lord with help” said Qulquest, “I can get her into places where few have ever been”.
“NO I will not sacrifice my daughter to these humans” Nazgrel barked.
“Farther it is the only way you know this, why risk the lives of many when may be one or two can succeed”.
I gave Qulquest a long deep look, could she be trusted?
“Once again young one your wisdom outweighs your years go take what you need from the armoury”. Nazgrel replied with a deep sigh.

“I need nothing but my father’s blessings and his blades”.
“And that you have daughter”.
“I tell you all here and now my blood oath means nothing to me until my mother is safe any that stand in my way WILL die at my hands”.
Thrall bent his head to the ground “So be it Kei I release  you from your oath I only pray you do not lose yourself in your rage, you have one week before we attack Stormwind”.
I turned and moved towards the door.
“Qulquest a word in private before you go”.
“Yes my lord of course, Claws I will catch up to you”.
Thrall bent down low so that his eyes meet with Qulquest and said in low gruntal voice
“No this elf if anything happens to her your life is forfeit”.

I made preparations for my departure from the city.
Destroying anything that could lead any one back to the city I was once again a loner a ROGUE.
On my way out of the city I came across a young Orc rogue who I recognised from my tribe and gave to him a gift the last act of compassion I made as a rational Orc.
I moved out of the city with only two thoughts.

KILL THE BISHOP AND FREE MY MOTHER.

Events that took place within alliance territory I will keep short as it is painful for me to even think upon now but perhaps in time I will be able to fully come to terms with what I did.
On my short journey and in the time it took for me to carry out my assignment I did horrific things I killed many no matter what age, male or female all where in my way and they all died.
I killed the Bishop and took great time and pleasure in it cutting limb from limb slowly.
I spat in his face as he begged for my mercy and for me to end his agony finally cutting his throat I watched as his life blood flowed away.
I found my mother relatively unharmed deep in the bowls of the human city.
Qulquest was good to her word, showing me and my mother to an underground river flowing out of the city.
My mother was safe the Bishop dead.

We later meet up with a band of Orcs as arranged by Qulquest whom my mother went with once again going into herself imposed exile promising to visit me soon.
Before she left we sat talking I told her of my half-sister Talon a fine young shaman.
My blood mother showed no malice at this revelation, and said it was good that Nazgrel had found some company in his life which she was unable to give.
I carried on by way of the river with Qulquest not knowing or caring where she or it took me I was drained and what I had done and became tormented me.

I awoke in the bottom of a great ship how I got there I do not know had Qulquest placed me there, all was a blur all I wanted was to get of the ship and get to safety, but where was I.
“Oy Kei is dat you?”
A large toothy grinning Orc was leaning over me.
“Oy it me Oznack Where ya been we be looking for ya”.
I had dropped back into a dreamless sleep only to be woken again by the strange Orc grinning at me.
My head was pounding.
My hand came to rest on a bag lying at my side.
“Ah what who are ya do I know ya?”
“Shhh quiet can’t talk hummeys “,said with the same toothy grin.
The noise of battle came to my ears.
I grabbed the bag and saw two blades sticking out the top.
MY BLADES.
I knew them but could not remember them I instinctively removed the blades, also in the bag was armour was it my armour?

I ran from the small cabin but not to join the raging battle outside on the deck.
I slid over the side of the ship tied the bag to my belt and swam away I just wanted to get away.
I awoke some time later on the banks of some sandy beach my head was still pounding had I been drugged?
“Hi ya Claws” there was that name again it came from a small Orc Child playing in the sand
“Do you know me young one?” the small Orc burst in to a deep rawing laugh.
“Shaw I know ya who does not know ya, I fink ya be in trouble though ya father going mad”.
The little Orc ran off laughing.
My father who was my father?
“Ah ok fanks”.
I tuned and was greeted by the sight of a giant pair of gates big enough to let a lizard fly through and these where flanked by two large Orc’s holding axes the size of me.

“Greetings Claws good ta see ya back in one piece huhuh, ya father be looking for ya, are we going ta battle the hummeys?”
I walked in the great gates with no answers only questions.
“Where was I, who was I, who was my father”.
My senses where over whelmed with the sight that was awaiting me.
I had walked in to a large city which was flanked by high cliffs to 3 sides there where Orcs, Trolls and even Undead roaming the wide streets.
All had a sense of purpose except me.
I found my way to a store which sold strong sprits.
“Give me a bottle of ya best sprits”.
Instinctively I went for my money belt but found it not to be there.
“Forget ya money again Claws huhuh no worries ya credit be good ere”.
“Ahh thanks”
I walked out into the hot air and sat, taking a long pull on a bottle of sprits my head spun from the potent drink, I did not stop drinking till I had finished the bottle.
“Ya can’t drink ya problems away Claws”, came a shout.
“Whhaa who”, the air was filled with laughter.
“Ya must be drunk if ya can’t recognize me she Orc”.
“Baa keep away if you know what good for ya” I sputtered.
“Suit ya self still the same Claws we all know”.
I collapsed in to the dirt the world spinning around my head.

“Ya be there Kei ya back with us?”
My eyes slowly opened to a huge face mapped with scars looking down at me.
I jumped up and instantly fell to the hard floor.
“Aye she be back” came a deep thundering laugh
Two large hands picked me up from the floor and placed me back on to the bed.
“Do ya stuff priest” came that same thundering voice a voice I knew.
“She been drugged” said the priest in the deep pitched voice used by the Troll tribes.
A blue glow surrounded my body as the Troll priest started to weave her healing magic.
I started to feel a heat moving up my body, an awareness of my surroundings and the Orc’s around me and flashing memories of who I was crept back in to my head.
“Thrall is that ya name”?
“Aye lass it be me and der be somebody else who ya know here too”.
I sensed who it was without even seeing the large Orc.
“Father”.
“Aye I ere and ya need a good slap for scarring me half way ta me death”
The Orc bent down and picked me up and gave me a bone crunching hug.
“Ahh humm Can ya talk Kei can ya remember any fink” came Thralls thundering voice,
“Do I call out the garrison?”

“No my Lord the deed is done”.

A day later I once again walked out from the citadel with my trusted blades strapped around my waste nothing had changed in the vast city, nothing that was except me I was not the same Orc who had walked in a week earlier before.

.

Personal Notes:

Who is the renegade warlock who sold my mother’s whereabouts and where can I find him or even her, we had unfinished business.
Once again warlocks are a part of my life circle I do not trust them.
Who was Qulquest and how many more like her are there, had she drugged me because I had learnt or seen more then I should have, or was she just trying to keep her identity secret?
Will I ever be able to put the horror of what I had done behind me?
Can I truly fit back into my adopted tribe?
Can I once again start to live by my blood oath or have I been dammed?
Only time will tell.

Greetings Kozgugore and fellow brothers and sisters of the tribe I trust this letter finds you all well.
The reason for this letter is as follows.
I would like to bring to your attention a Young Orc it has become my privilege to be friend.
She goes by the name of Orrag Sweet Water.
Sweet water is the name she has taken from her adopted father.
She hales from the southern island which we have come to be known as Pandaria.
Her parents were explorers of some renown whom she knew very little of.
They sadly meet there deaths in a great storm off our southernmost coast line were upon she found herself washed up and alone on the beaches of Pandaria.
She herself was taken in at a very young age by a Shado-pan monk whom trained her in the ways of fighting which is strange to say the least but very effective.
Her life was peaceful and serene until it was shattered by the appearance of the Alliance scum, and shortly after by Hellscream’s minions to whom she has no regard, seeing him as a blood thirsty tyrant bent on his own whims.
I know I take great risk in putting this down on parchment for me and her but needs must.

I would ask of you Koz and the tribe to take her under your wing so to speak and show her the ways of the Orc to which she has little knowledge.
I seek no favouritism not that I’m sure she would receive any “wink”
She is by her very nature a soft and well-mannered Orc and I hope that not too much of myself has rubbed off on her.
Do not take that softness to be her weakness if any think it is her greatest strength she is a quick and able theorist she can take a look at most situations and dissect them.

She knows nothing of this letter and I wish to keep it that way.
My reasons are I have become very fond of the young Orc and to be honest I see her as the daughter I never had, and do not wish to be seen as meddling in her life.
I ask you as a personal favour to approach the young Orc and invite her into your ranks I realise more than most that is not the normal way but I do this as I wish her to have a good and steady upbringing something I cannot offer her myself.
I wish her to understanding right from wrong and to fight with all her heart and soul when it is called for.
And well to be frank about it I do not wish her to go to any other tribe but the one I know and trust with my life.

Best regards.
Kei.

The Campfire / Greetings Koz
April 01, 2013, 03:06:29 AM
Greetings Koz hope you and the family are doing alright.

It has been a great while since I have put quill to parchment or rather since I got my Goblin servant to do so as I tell him what to wright at least I hope he is righting what I say any way.
I was deeply shocked and I could not believe my ears when I visited a camp fire.
There was a number of Orc’s who now wear the tribe cloth none of which I knew but they wear the cloth which is good enough for me to at least speak.
However I was shocked at the lack of respect shown to the tribe and its members.
Since when has it become right for Orc of the tribe to call all within the tribe traitor.
I know times are hard within the nation as a whole but has it got so bad that brother and sister can call the tribe traitor.
Has all that is true to us, or should I say was true to us as a tribe now have no meaning.
What has the tribe come to?

Claws.

The Campfire / Early days and nights
July 11, 2012, 07:49:18 PM
Claws took out her tatted journal as her head hit the bundle of old leather armour used as a pillow.
She opened the pages, old and fading running her fingers over the words on the parchment.
Written on the first few pages in her blood now a deep dark brown colour faded over time.
Her Personal oath of honour, which she has stayed true to all her fighting life.
Her oath to the tribe.
Her code of battle.
Her own lament.
Those within the ranks of the tribe that have proven their abilities in battle and stood shoulder to shoulder with me in battle will carry my unquestioning respect from the afterlife; the rest will have to earn it.
An old sock fell out from the pages which brought a smile to her face “Oz when did you sneak that in here”?
She held the sock for a while she noticing the smell had final gone and placed it back into the journal.

“Were where they all now Oz, Varg, Reh, Akesha, Yorla, Ghook, Kaz, had you all finally made your way to the afterlife?” “I will not be much longer here dear friends”.
A solitaire tear ran down her cheek, something that had not happened for many years.
She could count on her two scared hands now the Orc she counted as her friends, ones she had gone into battle with and bleed with and still walked the Great Plains.
From the hundreds listed in the tribal journals there were only a few still alive.
“Perhaps I’m the last of the original tribe, Bah ya getting soft old girl in ya age”, a smile returned to her face.

She read on turning page after page, stories of valour, stories of conflict within the tribe as well as outside the tribe, the visions of Akesha, her own visions.
Report after report, names of the fallen, some names she no long recognized.
Reports that brought a fit of laughter, a crude picture of Koz being dragged along the ground by a Ram.
“Oh Yes the Ram saga” she let out the laugh, he had tried to race a ram many moons ago at some festival, his look of pure rage as he hit the poor ram for dumping him on the ground,
She remembered his sulking for days after and him telling her not to say a word to any other Orc,
“Bah not natural for any Orc ta ride a Dolf beast anyways” was his last words on the matter as he strolled of to sulk some were alone.

She read on and came to some pages which had stuck together.
Carefully separating the pages she started to read what had all most faded to nothing.

Brothers and Sisters.

Who are we? I ask you again Who are we?
We are the Red Blades of The Horde.
Not a bunch of rabble at each others throat.
I say again
We take our name’s from some of the greatest fighters ever known within the realms, some of us even carry the same weapons past down from generations of battle hardened Orc.
We are the ultimate fighters of the Horde.
We use any weapon that comes to hand or mind.
We are pure tuned fighting machines.
We are muscle and stamina with the will to live and beat your enemy into total submission.
We will put our lives down for the protection of others within our tribe.
Not needlessly throwing our lives away but with calculating minds knowing that one sacrifice can turn the tide of battle, or save the lives of many.
We follow the orders of our captains and leaders with total devotion, waiting for the time to carry out the job we were breed for to strike hard and fast.
We have no time for the ceremony of battle let them that can throw up there great walls of totems do that, let them that can draw down the curses of the abyss do that.
We let the enemy see there own deaths coming for them head on, by bow, blade or unarmed flesh it does not matter only victory matters.
We live for war and the blood lust that infuses us.
We are the Horde death reincarnate.
Loyalty to Lord Thrall and to the tribe will never be tolerated or be an issue.

She remembered starting to writing this speech many seasons past at a time when moral within the tribe was low.
Even Thrall had gone on a long walk to find his self.
She had never finished it due to upheaval with in the tribe a time when Koz and her self had walked away from the tribe for a short time to reflect on the ensuing chaos.
It was during the time of Akesha’s self-imposed absence from the tribe Koz was left to control the tribe.
Wide riffs threatening to tear the tribe apart started to appear.
A plan was drawn up between the officers of the tribe, “There was only Koz and myself no others would stand up and be counted”, they were hard days.
How times had changed.
It was thought that the tribe could form into factions let the Orc decide on what faction the he or she wished to be part of.
It was a good plan a good idea.
But chaos grew out of this idea.
Faction started fighting faction personal battles ensued; Koz came down with a firm hand and quashed the chaos and a few heads.
This was all old history now but none the less history that may be one day should be placed in the records of the great halls.
She had written this speech to try to rally the tribe back together.
Perhaps now would be a good time to read the speech.
To bring the tribe back together to go out once again as a tribe and claim what is rightfully ours. Not as individuals but as the

                                                              Red Blades

Claws started to drift off to sleep as thoughts raced through her mind.
Battle that is all she had known.
She was tired of the battle, the blood, and the deaths of many old friends.
She had learned to keep apart from the tribe not to get to close to any within the tribe in the fear of losing them and once again being left alone.
Yes she had been ridiculed for this but what are a few words thrown at her for sitting off from the tribe “Water of a ducks back” as the humans would say.

It was her way.

Claws way.

The Campfire / The lost Orc
March 09, 2011, 11:14:28 PM
With slow grace benighing her great size the Tauren Shaman walk to the camp fire, placing her huge hands into a small bag around her waist she took out a pinch of herbs and tossed them onto the fire a sweet fragrance filled the night air, "Something to clear the air " the great figure smiled.
The lone Orc sitting across from the shaman was staring into the fire, looked up with surprise.
"Greetings Earth Warden you are the first to walk up on me so"  the Taren gave the Orc a wide toothy grin.
"Well meet sister Orc and how do you fair this moon light night?"
"Nothing changes Earth warden still I walk within a cloud".
"Umm you have been with us for more than four full moon cycles  and still you mind does not clear the vale placed upon it".
The Orc looked up again "perhaps I'm lost because nobody is looking for me perhaps my name is lost in the great sea of time".
"Very deep you have become".
"Orc time is the great healer this is taught to us by the Earth Mother your time with us is not been wasted it seems".
A rare smile spread across the Orcs face " I feel at peace here but I cannot shake the nagging in the back of my mind that I belong else were,
with brothers and sister of my own race".
The Tauren nodded her brow creasing into lines of concern.
"Does the cloth you care for still not release  its secrets that hammers  away at  your head?"
The Orc turned to her pack which lay at her side and removed a leather bound package, removing the ties she opened the package reverently removing two clawed weapons with the letters N,A,G scribed into the blades and a deep red cloth emblazed with a unknown emblem.
"I have seen this emblem worn by many Orc within in the lands but never have I found it within me to talk to them who were it".
"I hoped that at least one would recognise me and perhaps jog my mind to remember, but then I think perhaps they do not want to remember me, have I done some foul deed or perhaps they wish to forget me".
A sigh came from the Tauren "Perhaps it is time then Orc".
"Aye Earth Warden perhaps it is".
The Orc  rewrapped the items back into her pack and swooped it up placing it on her mount.
Turning back to the Tauren she bowed low the only thing she was sure of in her lost past to do to them she respected.

The Campfire / Hard ground
November 27, 2010, 12:21:01 AM
She raised her head from the hard ground and a shooting pain lanced into her brain.
Not such a good idea she thought.
She wiped thick congealed blood from her forehead and raised her head more slowly.
The pain was still there but not so intense this time as she took in her surroundings.
A large tree branch pinned her left leg to the ground.
Placing her booted right leg on the limb of the tree and pushed it off, wincing with the pain.
Good the leg was not broken but it was badly bruised.
She wobbled slowly to her feet, intense pain once again shooting to her head.

Holding her head in her hands she tried to stop it from spinning.
A quiet whimper came from behind her.
Turning slowly as not to aggravate the pain in her head she saw a large grey wolf pinned below the trunk of the same tree.
She moved slowly towards the wolf that looked up at her with sorrow in its deep yellow eyes, the animal’s body was bent and twisted unable to move it let out another shuddering whimper.
She reached to her belt instinctively and felt a blade strapped to it taking it out she looked at the blade not recognising its perfect fit into her hand.
She bent down to the wolf and patted it on the head feeling its matted fur but not recognising the feel of it.
The wolf looked at her trying in vain to get up one more time for his mistress and companion.
With one quick move she dug the blade into the wolf’s neck severing the spinal cord.
The wolf let out its last rasping breath a look of contentment passing over its face.

She fail to her knees trying to gather her thoughts.
With her head on her chest see saw the strange cloth which was covering soft leather armour.
Armour she did not recognise even though it fit her perfectly and obviously was well looked after.

She lifted the cloth to examine the emblem emblazed on the front.
Try as she may she could not understand what the emblem meant to her.
In fact she could not remember how she had got to where she was or even who see was.
Standing she looked again at the wolf trying to piece together what had happed.
She took off the cloth lifting it over her head thinking to bind her wounds with it.
A strange feeling of reverence and attachment to the cloth stopped her from ripping the cloth.
Instead she folded it and tucked it into her belt.

With feeling return to her legs she checked her self over nothing was broken.
She dropped her hands too her sides with despair they fell on too the two blades that readily hang from her belt.
Taking them out from the worn scabbards they felt warm and again she noticed how perfect they fit her hands.

She looked out into the distance.

“What the”
Was all she could say.

Event Planning / Cataclysm
September 06, 2010, 10:14:55 PM
Hi all.
Just a idea to throw out there.
With the new add on Cataclysm just around the corner are we as a Guild going to do some big RP event for the Blades only.
Along the lines of OH my God what was that bang or look at the state of our home lands etc, etc.
Something  that we as a Guild can add to our own tribal history if you get my meaning.
Time to get the thinking hats on???

Or is it going to be the normal race to get 85 the quickest.  ::)

Game Related / Rouge at 85
April 11, 2010, 12:11:57 AM
Found this leak for the new 85 level cap.
Any body else seen any others.

Smoke Bomb (level 85):
The rogue drops a Smoke Bomb, creating a cloud that interferes with enemy targeting. Enemies who are outside the cloud will find themselves unable to target units inside the cloud with single-target abilities. Enemies can move inside the cloud to attack, or they can use area-of-effect (AoE) abilities at any time to attack opponents in a cloud. In PvP, this will open up new dimensions of tactical positional gameplay, as the ability offers a variety of offensive and defensive uses. In PvE, Smoke Cloud can serve to shield your group from hostile ranged attacks, while also drawing enemies closer without the need to rely on conventional line-of-sight obstructions. Smoke Cloud lasts 10 seconds and has a 3-minute cooldown.

Sounds like it will work like Vanish but for a group, good way to hide others in combat for a while.
Or maybe a group of hunters, has some good possibilities.
