Thought I'd add my own foolery to the Aprils fool jokes, and changed the ranks a bit!

Newblood

Oathbound = Toilet Scrubber "Never Forget"
Nag'Ogar = Bully Beacuse even the SISTA needs to make people follow suit
Gosh'kar = Drug-head The step before you get serious with the spirits.
Gul'thauk = Creepy People Caruk Blackblade, Gridish Rimeweaver, Gashuk Felhand and Therak Duskstalker, Creepy people of the Red Blades... Just seems spot on to me.
Trueblood = Old-folks-home Beacuse no matter how old they get, you still love them.
Rrosh'tul = Baby-tender Being a Rrosh'tul is about tending babies.. And lots of them.
Thur'ruk = True Leader Until a proper Matriarch can be found, Thur'ruk is the rank for women.

Red Blade Bulletin Board.
A sturdy piece of wood with scrolls and papers pinned to it. This is where Red Blades can find things that needs to be done, without requiring the attention of the entire tribe.

One of the scrolls, placed squarely in the middle â€" Reads the following.

Mok'ra Red Blades! This board will hold notes about needs doing, along with other matters that concerns the tribe. Looking for something or have something you wish to share with the tribe? Slam it up on this board.

Event Planning / Rated BattleGrounds
March 06, 2013, 12:40:18 AM
Rated Battlegrounds

Mok’ra orcs!
A new season looms on the (very close) horizont and it’s time to get a new rBG team on its legs.

The rBG day will be; Monday, from 20:30 till 23:30, these times may change once we get a core group up and running.
For these battlegrounds we’ll need;

A tank (Flag carrier), a mix of melee and ranged DPS (6) and 3 healers, preferably a mix of classes.

In order to join, there are a few requirements along with some rules;

Requirements.

Gear. Full honour gear/conquest gear from previous season.

Knowledge of your class in a PvP environment.

Ventrillo.

Functional microphone.

Spirit â€" No, not the stat (I’ll hang any spirit warriors, rogues or hunters I find) â€" But even if we lose, I don’t want to see anyone quitting on the team, we’ll go from we start till we end, and anyone who quits on the team will be banned from all future rBGs hosted by me. â€"No exceptions-

Rules.

No quitting: When playing with us, there’ll be no quitting because of bad games or some such â€" If some emergency arises (House/wife/kids/yourself on fire) then go and do what you gotta do. But otherwise, no quitters! Quitting will, ofcourse, not change your IC Status within the guild, but you’ll be blacklisted from all future rBGs with this team.

Keep rage at a minimum:  The only one who shouts on this team is the target caller and the leader, if you have some criticism to give to one of your fellow players â€" Make sure it’s constructive and worded in a proper manner. If you don’t think that you can say it in a way that won’t rub your fellow rBG’er the wrong way, whisper me with what-ever it is.

Sign-ups: This one being one of my biggest dreads. Depending on the popularity of these rBGs we may have more orcs for the different tasks than we have room for, so know that we can’t get everyone into the team each and every time.

The recruitment process will follow this priority system; What we need > Guildies signed up > Friends who’re signed up.

(Additional rules and requirements may be added at the whim of your deranged Rrosh’tul!)

-If you're up for joining the Rated Battlegrounds, write the name, class and roles of your character(s).

Tanks:
Rargnasha (Warrior/leader), Revax (Monk) Mozrogg (Warrior)

Dps:
Rargnasha (Warrior/target caller/leader) Grogona (Rogue) Krogon (Rogue) Revax (Monk) Mozrogg (Warrior/Target caller)

Healers:
Grogona (Monk), Grokosh (Monk)

Mok-ra!
Lately we've had some interesting RP events where we've put a little rolling system to use. So I thought I'd make a forum post where I write a bit about it for everyone to use as they please!
It's still in it's development, and I have a feeling that the more we use it, the more we'll learn to change it to suit our needs and wants!

So, no more beating 'round the bush, let's get to it!

Introduction:
How does the system work? While it might seem complex at first glance, then it gets really simple after you've given it a few swings! So don't let the walls of text crit you to death!

-----------------------
To make a move in combat, you need to simply do a /roll
An enemy has three values.
Offensive, which means when the enemy hits you. [OV]
A Defensive, which means if you roll above this, you manage to wound the enemy! [DV]
And an endurance value, which shows how many wounds an enemy can take before he dies. [EV]

Now, let's take a look at a treeant ancient.
Ancient [OV]: 1-30 [DV]: 35+ [EV]: 6
The ancients are tough basterds and sport huge trunk-like arms which they use to crush and smash their enemies. However, they're huge and very hard not to hit if you can avoid getting squashed!

So, let's pick this one apart, look at, and explain the different values.
The ancients Offensive Value is 1-30, this means that when you roll to engage the ancient, and you roll between 1 and 30, the ancient hits you!
Now, how bad the ancient hits you, how wounded you become and such, is entirely up to yourself!
Players do not have Endurance points like enemy NPCs does, you decide yourself when you go hug the floor, and how gravely you're hit!

Next up we have the Defensive value, which is 35+.
This means that as long as you roll over 35 points, you manage to wound the ancient!
However, ancients are tough opponents, and can sustain 6 wounds [EV] before they're vanquished!

Now, some of you might notice that there is a gap between it's OV (1-30) and it's DV (35+), if you roll between the OV and DV, you neither manage to wound the enemy, nor are you wounded yourself!

Now, how many times can you attack an enemy, or can an enemy attack you?
This system is dependant on Rounds.
A player has one roll in each round.
This roll decides what happens, if the player gets hit, misses but isn't hit, or hits!
However, with multiple people it can get confusing who strikes when, and who emotes when!

Now, the initiative system can look rather confusing upon the first glance, but don't worry! After a few tries it'll come to feel rather fluent and logical!
Everyone does their /roll at the beginning of a round, and in the order the rolls appear, is the order in which the orcs do their emotes!

For this purpose I will use five orcs to explain the initiative system.
Rargnasha, Krogon, Orok, Drogu and Garros will be our five orcs for this purpose.

Our little pack of wolves are facing off against an Son of Cenarius in the Stonetalon mountains, who has the following stats:
[OV]: 1-30. [DV]: 55+. [EV] 4.
All the orcs are eager to engage the Son of Cenarius in battle, so they all roll as quickly as they can!

---Round one---

Rargnasha rolls 57
Krogon rolls 35
Orok rolls 12
Drogu rolls 77
Garros rolls 22

As soon as everyone have rolled, we see who starts and in which order we'll go on. In our case it's Rargnasha who starts, then Krogon, then Orok, then Drogu and last Garros.

Since Rargnasha rolled over 55, he manages to wound the monster!
Krogon rolled 35, and is neither wounded nor manages to wound. However, being the Blademaster he is, he emotes that he gets in a few strikes at the monster, however, none of them wounds the monster greviously, and as of such, does not count towards the wound score!
Orok rolls below the monsters Offensive Value, and emotes how the Son of Cenarius smacks him across his face with it's talons - Ouch! However, not wanting to get wounded yet, he emotes that he sidesteps and only gets a light slap!
Drogu, rolling over the monsters Defensive Value, manages to wound the monster as well! Which he then emotes (Badassedly)
Last we have Garros, who rolled 22, also under the Offensive score.
However, Garros thinks it'd be fun to sneak up behind the hooved monster, and emotes that he gets hit in the face by a hoof!

Since all our players have rolled, round one is now finished, and a new round can begin, however, this time some of the other players are faster at rolling!

---Round Two---

Krogon 70
Rargnasha 23
Orok 72
Garros 1
Drogu 92

Since Krogon appeared as the first roll this time, that means that he goes first and wounds the monster!
Rargnasha is next up and emotes that he gets entangled by roots summoned by the monster!
Now, the monster only has one wound left, and since Orok rolled over it's Defensive Value, his wound kills it. He emotes how he cleaves off the monsters arm, killing it!
Now, since the Son of Cenarius is dead, it can't hit Garros, even though he only rolled 1! Likewise, Drogu can't inflict a wound on it either, since it is already dead!

In short, this means that all actions from and against a monster are anulled after it dies.

----------------------------------------------

Examples of combat
Here are a few examples of how some of the different rolls can turn out! Starting with rolling a creatures 'Offensive Value'

'Watering it down'
Rargnasha rolls 22 as he engages the ancient, since this is rather early on in the event, he decides that he's not going to sustain any major wounds or bruises yet.
Rargnasha charges at the treeant, letting out a challenging roar, however, the treeant meets his charge head on, by thrusting one of it's trunklike arms at him. However, he manages to raise his shield and stagger back from the force of the blow!

'Taking it'
Karak is figthing a song of Cenarius, seeing that he only rolled 15, he decides to take the wound like a man, and emotes how it's talon gives him some deep cuts along the side of his cheek!

'Combining them'
Rargnasha and his little pack is figthing an Old One Tentacle, these are viscious things with an OV of 1-40 and a DV of 41+!
In the first round Rargnasha and Karak both roll under the OV of the Tentacle, they then agree upon OOCly that it'd be fun if the tentacle would pick up Rarg and throws him at Karak!

'Being dramatic'
Rargnasha and his little pack of wolves are figthing the Old One General, the Big bad boss of the event. Everyones up and being awesome, so Rargnasha decides to add a bit of drama to the fight against the baddie! As he rolls 22, against the Old General with an OV of 1-40, he decides that the General picks him up and smashes him against a ruin, effectively knocking him out and leaving the rest of the figth (Or a few turns!) To the rest of the group!

-------------------

Examples of rolling between OV and DV. [WiP]

-------------------

Examples of rolling over DV [WiP]

-------------------

Critical Hit

There are two sorts of Critical hits. Normal critical hits, and Dire critical hits.
A Normal Critical hit is when you roll a natural 90-99 when attacking a monster, this is where you show off your skills and deliver a strong blow to the enemy! A Critical hit is worth TWO POINTS of damage, which you can split as you see fit! Figthing a single enemy? Dump both points down on his head! Figthing two? How about pulling off something cool and deal one point of damage to each of them!

On a DIRE critical hit you score an immediate killing blow on all but boss monsters. Even if another would score the killing blow in this turn due to initiative, your roll will count as the first wound being put on the monster this turn, unless you have other plans!
This is your time to shine and type out a badass emote of how you kill the enemy!
Should there be more than one monster and/or a boss, then a DIRE critical hit will count as four points of damage that you can distripute as you see fit!

A critical fail will be a clean 1 out of 1-100.
When you roll a critical fail, the world is just against you, it can be a particularily wounding strike to your character, pulling out an 'epic fail' or otherwise just failing, critically.

Things considered added to the system:
Buffing
Healing
Defending (/others)

So, I just got my beta invitation as a second wave tester and will be rolling three characters at the beta realms, a Panda monk, an orc monk and an orc warrior.
All of them will be named something along the name of Rargnasha and I'll post here which realm I'll make them on.

And if we get other people who get their keys too, they'll be welcome to tag join the realm and give me a poke!

As some might know, the weekly meeting was interrupted this night (Sunday the 31th) by OOCers, such things happens and such things sucks, but usually we just ignore it.
However, things went differently tonight, I was amused by the idiocy of the OOC'ers and it led focus away from the Meeting that Kozgugore had planned to us.
As discouraging as this mgiht feel to the arrenger, Koz still finished the event propperly which in itself is admireable, but this attention thing also brings up another thing, that I know, and should have remembered to say atleast.
That arrenging an event or writing a story for a group of people, no matter the nature of the event, the amount of participants or viewers, that doing such is work, and work is rarely fun if people don't pay attention to it.
As most knows, Kozgugore have been arrenging events for our lot for a damn long time, I don't know when he've last recieved any open and direct appresiasion for all of his work. But Im going to give it a go none the less.

Thanks alot Kozgugore, for being such an active guild master and making this guild amongst the top of the cream of roleplaying guilds, aviable of reeling people in even from across the realms!

The Campfire / A tale of Honour and Mercy.
January 25, 2010, 04:45:29 PM
Honor is a weird thing. As a Newblood of my tribe earlier said: “Honor is a many headed beast and each who looks upon, sees something different.” And as I myself have described mercy. “Mercy is like a seed, the one who is shown mercy, is more likely to show it himself and thus passing on the seed of mercy.” I would soon find this to be even truer than I had expected.

For two days I had been hunting a Necromancer who had dared set foot upon the grounds of my people, the Barrens. Now, some of you might not know who or what I am, for those, I will write this next part.

_______________________________________________________________________
I am Rargnasha Bloodmark, an orc and a warrior of the horde, dedicated follower of Thralls vision of ‘The New Horde’. I was born clanless, and while some might find the story of my life of interest, then that will be a story to be told another time. I am the proud member of the tribe that adopted me less than a year ago,  The Red Blade tribe which works as a gathering for all orcs. Here I climbed the ranks through strength, honor and dedication. This earned my second name and my rank of Rrosh-tul, An elite warrior of the tribe, and Blademaster of the tribe, which is the title of the tribes Champion.

As all other orcs, we fight for the Horde, and back in my first days of tribe, my blood-thirsty tutor, Vargosh the traitor, a huge, blood hungry monster of an Mok’nahtal, swathed down an helpless elf during a raid upon the elven town of Astranaar. Despite the ideals my tutor of the tribe had shown me, I took pity upon the elf and tended to her wounds, a gesture that would be far more important than I would ever had anticipated.
_________________________________________________________________________

My hunt for the necromancer led me to Ashenvale, the trail had gone cold more than a day ago, but my search in the Barrens had been long and revealed that the Necromancer had left. While it was good that the necromancer was away from the homelands of my people, it would be foolish to let him roam around Kalimdor freely. The hunt would go on, even though the track had last led towards Ashenvale, home of the lumbering camps and the mystical night elves.

Though I saw little signs of the necromancer I still travelled through the forest, my first stop would be the Warsong lumber camps, though they had seen nothing of any necromancers, my travels took me through the enchanted forest till my wolf stopped by Astranaar. The stench of death and plague hang heavy in the air and there was, what wouldn’t be a lightly dressed necromancer, but a juggernaut of a death knight, clad in heavy plate armor and wielding a huge, rusty, jagged axe, seeping with plague. I could have turned my back on the town and walked away, few would call me a coward for letting my enemy fighting my enemy. I could possibly even wreak more damage upon the elves or the death knight if I acted with cunning. But no, such a death I wouldn’t want, even for those supposed to be my enemy.

I found my fingers running over the emblem of the Argent Dawn upon my right pauldron. I slowly climbed down from my wolf and ran across the bridge into the town, charging towards the Death Knight. The elves who had come to fight him, in order to purchase the others more time to either escape or barricade themselves, fell to his blade by the second.

As I ran towards him, drawing my axe and my shield, I spotted out of the corner of my eye I saw that corpses of elves were laying strewn across the village, creating a bloody trail of death and gore. I felt the righteous fury burn in my veins. Many of these had been civilians, even children were here. Though being no shaman I could still feel their need for vengeance, and for justice to be extracted upon this fiend as their spirits cried for revenge.

I let out a bellowing roar, letting the filth know that a true opponent had arrived. The Death Knight  turned just in time to have my shield meet with his face. If the dead could look surprised, then he would have done. The death knight staggered back, looking at me with his shining, cold eyes. The remaining sentinels stared in confusion; an orc fighting a death knight inside an elven town was not a common occurrence. Fortunately they decided to let enemies fight enemies. They rushed to help the wounded escape and call for reinforcements.

I felt a slight grin slide across my fangs as the Death Knight was now entirely focused upon me. I raised my axe and pointed it towards him, then roared out my challenge. His response was a silent, deadly stride towards me. Readying his axe, his first swing hit nothing but my shield and my strike  hit true and clear. I felt I could already taste victory as my axe slashed though armor and flesh. I took a step towards the Death Knight and threw a powerful kick at his knee, causing him to hiss in annoyance as he recoiled backwards.  The edge of my shield struck his head before he had regained his balance. I watched him take a few steps backwards, the rotten blood spilling out of a large gash in his stomach, his helmet slightly dented and his leg in a weird position.

I felt so assured of my victory, that my arrogance blinded me and I lowered my guard. With a sudden almost snakelike whip of his hand his axe swung towards me. I felt the plagued blade rend my armor and cut a gash in my left leg, the poison taking seat in the wound. I felt the warm blood stream down over my leg and the pain shoot through my nerves. A slight, feverish feeling took place in my head. The pain was great but nothing that a strong will and determination couldn’t handle. I stepped forwards and slashed my axe across his chest, vowing that if the poison killed me, then I’d at least take him down with me.

We both stepped away from each other and I looked over the wounds I had inflicted upon him. To my horror, I saw that the wounds I had inflicted… were sealed close! The death knight grinned wickedly at me and with a howl and a gesture of his hand, I felt the disease take hold of my body.
What happened next was a bit of a blur, but I remember fighting him for several minutes. Fighting and losing.

When I was finally brought to my knees, my body wounded and diseased, I looked up at who I thought would be my bane, steeling myself to the final moments. Suddenly a piercing war-cry interrupted the Death Knight as he was about to finish me. Two sentinels had ambushed him and finished him off so quickly that I barely had time to catch my breath.

After the death knight was killed, the two elves walked over to me, one of them bringing her blade to my throat. The other sat down, bringing her face level with mine... and I stared into the eyes of the elf that I saved all those months ago.

And so it happened, that the Death knight was vanquished and the seed of mercy had blossomed into a friendship. These were the thoughts I had on my mind as I rode out of Astraanar, my wounds cured with blessed water and covered with night elven bandages.
