The Campfire / Escape from Lordareon.
« on: August 13, 2018, 01:58:44 AM »
The faint light in the sky was beginning to promise the new dawn upon Lordareon. No soldier had felt the rest of good night sleep as the battle for the ruined City was upon them. Among them, stood Drosera; her mind focused on something else, the last remaining civilians, wounded and beasts, that had no place on the reinforced walls to defend the City.

While she wanted nothing more, than to stand with the clan and fight to the last drop of blood she had left,Drosera had to save those who cannot help themselves. Pulling down her helmet, she began to gather the remainders of civilians and injured soldiers into groups and ushered them towards the mages, whom had promised last portals to safety before the battle would reach them. As the first boulder struck against the walls, the shimmering promise of a portal sparked, opening the way.

Taking her chance to do the last thing before battle, she turned towards the area where she knew many of the Clans beasts were held . She tore the chained fences open and pulled the largest Worg out, knowing the rest would be likely to follow. Guiding it to the side gate, she demanded the Forsaken creations haul thes gates open for the last time or she would blast them open herself.

Her threat would have been in vain, unless a pair of ears of an old ally was not present. He would rather see the abominations in one piece for the battle and knew the Shaman wouldnt demand without good reason. With the Forsaken's permission, one whom stood as a respected Doctor of their kind-, the gates creaked open.

Now, her new found pack and her, Drosera only had to figure out how to do it. The beasts were restless as it is, the explosion against the City walls sending some of them into a terrified dash towards the dark forest. Past her, surprisingly fast dashes the oversized turtle, the one she recognised as Strongarm's mount. Drosera quickly caught up to it, climbed on to the shell and patted the side of its shell she wished it to go:"That way!- Hurh..how do I steer you! There!"

Either the beast could read her intentions, or she unknowingly was a born natural, the turtle would steer towards the sea. Trusting the largest Worg, she ushered it to follow, having the rest of its pack follow along.  Unseen in the long shadows of the rising dawn, the beasts and Shaman dash to the remaining ships.

She asked no permission, nor what the purpose the ships had, but simply crowded the deck swith the trusted companions of the Red blades.*
The existing crew on the Horde ships, had numbers too thin to stand against a raging, stubborn Shaman, secured the beasts under the decks. Satisfied, Drosera hurried back towards the ruin's, hoping she could still make it to aid the Clan...

There was chaos, death and grumbling walls by the time Drosera made it to the walls. With the speed granted to her by the Spirits, she fought her way through crowds of Alliance soldiers. there we too many of them..this battle was already decided! Calling out for the Clan, she grew more desperate..making her way through the battelfield and into the City once more until, a familiar rattly voice called out for her name.

There was no time to react, the bony hand pushed into the last portal. The voice of rage and surprise echoed in the emptiness as the twisting lights of the portal swirled around her. Her eyes darkened, until she felt solid ground underneath her feet once more and the familiar scents of Orgrimmar filled her snout, why and how.. was she here?
