If Tazok can do this, so can I, hah!

The finish line.

The black and white checkered flag.

That's what we live for.

That's why we're here.

To be the first.

To be the best.

The Steamwheedle Scoundrels is a racing team that used to be one of the top contenders on the Mirage Raceways. Several trophies were won and titles were gained. They were infamous and ruled the raceway. That is, until the Shattering made an end to the once great team. Their prime racers drowned and the manager got hit in the face by a stray whaleshark. Only a handful of them survived. Under the watchful eye of Sprocket, a former mechanic and the new team boss, they will put racing back on the map again. On any map.

Generic Orc - Badlands

No need to specify behind which shrubbery you're dying ;)

Contact Us / Gara and her ice orbs

With Gara's new hobby that consists of playing with her balls (No, not that one), I thought I'd give you lot a generic idea of how her ball-playing will turn out once she's had some more practice. So if she's doing weird stuff with an icy orb, visualise something like... this

The Campfire / The Spirit Link (Guild Chat & Cataclysm - Part 2)
« on: November 24, 2010, 12:15:14 PM »
The young orc was lost. He looked around to see if he could find any landmarks that could tell him where he was, but there was nothing that ringed any bells within his skull. Asking for help from his tribe members merely made things worse. The moment he tried to connect to the spirit link, his skull split open in a devastating pain. He had tried a few times, but his head was now feeling like a blacksmith's anvil. It pounded with every second as if his brain was about to burst out of his skull.
He looked around again. He was definately lost. He'd never dare face the chieftain again now. He had prided himself upon his knowledge of the landscape, but now....

The earth shook, as it had done so many times in the past weeks. The orc got down on his knees to steady himself. He was getting used to the earthquakes. They kept coming more often though and it seemed as if the shaking was more severe now. Perhaps he'd never truly get used to them. He waited for the shaking to stop before he got back onto his feet again. He barely stood up as the earth shook once again, more severely this time. He waited for it to stop, but it never did....

The headache felt like it was going to split his skull into two, he felt distant screams and echoes that reminded him of his own cries of pain. He suddenly felt a choir of agonised voices in his head. The voices of his tribesmen. Screeches, piercing howls, screams. His head pulsed and writhed and the cacophony of noise became louder and louder as the earth shook. From his left, he heard the sound of a tree being torn in half. And as he looked up, he saw the earth splitting in front of him.

He ran and ran, grabbing onto his skull to keep it from splitting in two. The screams of his tribesmen were gettling louder, and inbetween that, he heard more strange things. It was as if the ancestors of the tribe itself were screaming out in pain. He felt himself slip into a crack that just opened under his feet and he noticed he was slipping away into the depth.

He fell and landed onto an earth spike, only a few feet away from a thick, red substance. Burning, scalding Lava. He held onto the spike with his life. The screaming inside his head continued, as did the shaking of the earth.

And then the shaking stopped. The lands of Azeroth had been split. Deathwing flew over it, leaving a trail of destruction and devastation in his wake. And as everything stopped, so did the screaming in his head.

His headache was gone. The voices were gone. Everything was gone. He tried to reach out towards the spirit link and found... nothing. Emptiness.

And so, as Azeroth changed into a new world, the spirit link of the Orcs of the Red Blade ceased to exist. Who was going to help the poor trapped orc now?

--------------
(OOC: This story is similar to that of most orcs. During the Shattering, the spirit link will be filled with screams of orcs, spirits and ancestors. Now that the world is screwed, the spirit link is non-existant.

There will be an IC event soon to set it back up again, which will involve everyone that wants to join in. If we manage to set up everything properly and OOC communication goes well, we should have the guild chat back up and running before Cataclysm hits the stores.)

Off Topic / Kiro & Gara's Sketchathon!
« on: November 21, 2010, 05:10:34 AM »
And so, it was a saturday evening like any other. Except for the fact that two of your guildies had decided to create random drawings together!

The process went as follows: Gara'd write down the sketch's title and Kiro would draw the picture. Gara'd also be in charge of generic colouring, THE SUN and some minor background details. We bring you: THE FOLLOWING!

1. The evening started with a sad red ghost. Featuring Gara on Taco.

2. Inspired by the fact that a Wizard's staff has got a knob on the end, the following picture was created, and THE SUN became a main character in the series.

3. Slowly, the evening moved towards WoW, starring one of the Orgrimmar Showgirls!

4. Once you get started on showgirls, it's only a minor step towards our resident Blademaster. Featuring Gara on pineapple.

5. Onoez! Zee cataclysm!

6. After Krogon's portrait, it was decided that more guildies would be featured in this endeavor. And what better place to start than with the chieftain and his beloved High Blade on their summer holiday?

7. 4am. We are now tired. As our parting gift we share with you: Karak's fishing trip!

Hope you enjoy our randomness.. We sure did!

Contact Us / Guild Chat and Cataclysm
« on: October 17, 2010, 12:12:21 AM »
Hey all!

With the earth shaking a lot and the spirits being difficult and elements attacking innocent villagers, I realised that our guild chat is also a spirit/shaman/mysterious thing.

Is there anythin we can do with this in cataclysm? I myself was thinking that since it's a spirit thing, it could start breaking up in the upcoming weeks to cataclysm, reaching a dead point in the week or so before.

Sure, it'll make communication so much more difficult, but it'll be a challenge for all of us and I think it'll be a fun immersion of the upcoming expansion and the ongoing changes so far.

Also, people can use it to work on a solution together. Result: MUCH RP!

Post opinions below plox :)

Game Related / Ghost Wolf
« on: October 03, 2010, 02:45:09 AM »
Hey all,

Was talking to Vez about Ghost Wolf and we both wondered if there was any sort of 'official' lore on how Ghost Wolf is 'justified' in roleplay. I've come up with some theories myself that might be plausible, but I'd like to hear it from you guys as well. Since it's an ability that would be so cool to use ICly with a good explanation behind it. I've done it with Gara a few times when I just joined the guild, but lately I haven't been using it that much due to 'dodgyness'.

So, my question is if there's an 'official' stance on ghost wolf, or that one of the following ideas would work ICly.

- Meditation.
Shammies have a bond with the spirit world, obviously. One theory I've thought is that shammies can meditate and get in touch with a wolf spirit (perhaps the wolf whose head they wear as a wolf mask) and 'borrow' their spirit body and eyes to search through the world. The shaman would be 'resting' somewhere and not move.

- Spirit Walking
The second option is the shaman stepping into the spirit world him/herself and changing into a wolf, or merging with a wolf spirit while being there. It allows for walking inbetween 'dimensions'. That way you can 'justify' ICly hopping back in and out of wolf form.

So yeah, thoughts plox!

Event Planning / Things to do before Cataclysm - Ulduar
« on: September 25, 2010, 03:45:28 PM »
Hey all,

I've been thinking about the things I want to do before cataclysm comes and we'll be busy with discovering the new world, our new talent builds, fresh brand spanking new skills that will either make us weep tears of joy or bitter tears of rejection. But before that happens, I want to see some of the stuff this expansion gave us. For example, I've never done a full Ulduar run on Gara and I'd love to heal through it at least once before all the fancy stuff happens.

So, this thread is to prod around and see if anyone is interested in doing the run with me, be it on their orcs or on an alt they'd love to pull through Ulduar one last time.

If we get enough people that are interested, I'm planning to do the run somewhere in october. So let me know if you're interested or if you know people that are and we can get this thing rolling :)

As far as friends are concerned, priority goes to people who have a character in the guild, but if there's room for outside friends, they're more than welcome!
