Me and my dear wife (Vargukha) were just sitting and remembering the good old days in WoW when I decided to see if the tribe is still alive. It sure seems to be!

It sure is amazing to read your stories and that the tribe is still going strong, more than 15 years later. We used to be a part of it a loooong time ago, when the world was young and the orcs were an unruly bunch that just loved to get in a fight. I joined the Red Blades when Akesha and Kad were looking for new orcs to join the tribe.

Koz and the others, you are amazing! You have developed a great community that has survived for a very long time. I just wish I had time to play again and be the old relic from the past.

Stay strong!

It's been a long while since I quit playing, but I still keep a lot of memories.

One of those was the great event where we had a war with the Second Gurubashi Empire; having the standoff in the Gurubashi arena, with a load of orcs on one side and a load of filthy trolls on the other side was the peak moment. Crushing the trolls on their home turf was truly sweet! ;D

All those wars and skirmishes with the Dwarven Rifle Squad (like Dorfskull mountain). W-PvP event that went on forever (months), concluding with a peace treaty and party.

I remember that the tribe frequently sat together after some event or other just to drink ourselves to oblivion around the fire.

I certainly had a great time with the tribe and I'll always stay a Red Blade.

Favourite characters? Damn, too many, but here's just a handful:

Akesha - will always be my Matriarch! 'nuff said! Oh, and I still remember those nutty chats about gardens.

Oznack (the mad orc with the smelly socks), Vargukha, Claws, Azuril, Ghook, Moggrash, Griesh, Yorla, Kad, Rylla, Tirnak, Dogar, Kozgugore, Beldar, and many more.

For the Blood of the Tribe!

Game Related / Thanks for the good time in the tribe
December 02, 2010, 02:52:11 PM
Well, finally it was time for old Reh to seek new pasture. I should have written something IC'ly, but I haven't even had the time to play WoW lately (stealing some time now to write this).

I want to say that the Red Blades have been, are and will continue to be if not the best at least one of the major pillars of the horde RP on Defias.

The tribe has evolved, changes have come and it was time for some old stuff to be thrown away (i.e. an old overlord). Thus Reh together with Varg and Kad decided to go away to look deeper into the past together. Will Reh find his way back to the tribe? No idea, to be honest, as I see his place in the tribe being something fairly ooc now. But creating a new orc in order to see the tribe from the bottom might be an option in order to find the fun in WoW RP again.

Thanks to all people that have made this tribe into the best one on Defias! I'll see you around in the future.

Best Regards
/Reh

Akesha created the tribe a long time ago (ehrm, guild...). Ever since the creation this guild has been a major part of the horde RP on Defias.

I can certainly understand the position of being away for a long while and returning as a former leader just hanging around like you say. It doesn't really fit into orcish RP as I see it, and I think that you are wise in making this decision. (Same goes for old overlords that have been hanging around, only that I'm too fond of this character to change it into a stinking troll or flappie. ;))

We've had a lot of good fun together, and I still remember the mad RP meetings with the Gurubashis fondly. There was always something to get angry about. The big trollbashing event we had was a major thing in my WoW experience when Akesha led us in a confrontation with the trolls in their own lands. ;-)

Reh will certainly feel some of the meaning in this world to be lost when Akesha he discovers that Akesha has dissapeared in the cataclysm.

Thank you for creating one of the major RP pillars on Defias!

((What's this? I'm writing a short story and you start talking about pot and goblin balls? What do you mean, flowerpot? Want me to bring you one from Amsterdam? They have nice flowers here and nice looking cafés just next to the hotel. They call them coffeeshops, and I do enjoy a nice cup of coffee so I really have to visit one when I have time.))

It was late in the autumn. The first signs of winter were clearly visible in the hills of Nagrand. It wouldn't be long before the first snows came, and with them the cold. Recently there had been a bad storm, one with a ferocity that hadn't been seen in these hills for a very long time.

The solitary figure was standing next to what mostly resembled a pile of broken wood, strewn with all kinds of things what could be found in a regular home in this part of the world. With sadness in hisface, the solitary figure turned his back to the pile of broken wood that used to be his home and walked to a nearby field, a filed that had been harvested.

Walking back to the pile of rubble, the solitary figure picked up the backpack that was on the ground next to a flat rectangular stone, one that had seen some wear in the middle part. He opened the backpack, pulling out a small pouch. Holding it gingerly in his hand, he untied it and put his hand in the pouch. Removing the hand from the pouch, he opened his fist and carefully studied a handfull of grain. With a deep sigh he returned the grain to the pouch.

Removing the string that was used to tie the pouch, he took out a thick piece of string from his tunic and used it to retie the pouch. Putting the pouch back in the backpack, he looked at an oblong object that was covered with cloth next to the backpack with a distant gaze. Picking the backpack and cloth-covered object up, he turned his heel and walked away from the pile of rubble.

As he walked away, he whistled a high-pitched tone. Shortly after, a black cat was seen coming from the nearest shrubbery. The cat approached the solitary figure and without a word or sound they walked away, never looking back.
