Applications / Re: The Dreadwolf Warband Roster

Name: Zaheeri of the Last Veil
Clan: Clanless
Age: ??
Profession: Shadowseer
Warband role: Scout/Stealth/Healer

Bio:

Zaheeri's background is a mystery, but what has been gathered from her cawing ramblings is that she was a friend to the Arakkoa before their disappearance. Though the Arakkoa are believed to be extinct she seems confident her kin still persist in what few shadowy places remain on Draenor, and that if she could escape the doom of their world so can the Arakkoa. She is an aloof and canny old crone, with many secrets and a clear mind for self-preservation, and with it the preservation of the culture, knowledge, and magics of the Arakkoa.

Physically she is very slim, almost skeletal in appearance, and her features are gaunt and pale. Her right eye is missing, replaced with a glass one that seems to peer around eerily at it's own whims when it isn't lazing just off-centre. Her fingers are long and boney and her voice is sharp and crowish.

Zaheeri didn't so much join the warband as tag along, arriving one day and starting to contribute until she was accepted, all the while keeping mostly to herself. Whilst she seems to understand Orcish she herself either cannot speak it, or chooses not to. Nobody is quite sure which.

Zaheeri's skills revolve around a mastery of both the shadows and the natural world. Whilst physically frail she seems to get about the place fairly quickly and her pockets seem never to run dry of spiders, nor her sleeves of snakes. She routinely shares vision with her avian pets for scouting and on occasion has been known to invade the minds of enemies to drive them mad, or turn them upon her foes.

Beyond her magics she is also an expert scribe, rarely seen without an ink-stained bag of scrolls, and though her cooking is legendarily ugly to look at... it's... okay-ish. If the sight of it doesn't turn one's stomach, the taste certainly won't.

Applications / Application: Rava
December 13, 2017, 02:07:51 AM
Name: Rava
Level: 50 (was lvl 1 this morning)

Tell us something about your (role)playing experience: I've been RPing for a hecka long time now, but always Alliance RP. I'm finally in a place where I can explore some characters I previously didn't have the time to owing to prior commitments to other characters.

And finally, please write a short story and/or (IC) introduction about your character:

Another day of torturous wandering across the strange world of Azeroth. Rava knew not where she was going, which was fine by her as she knew not where to go. The years since her arrival alongside the Iron Horde and subsequent abandonment had left her without much direction in life, but direction really isn't all that important. All Rava cared about was finding somewhere nice to make a home for herself, with hopes that it would last longer this time.

Her last home in the strange jungle of short wolf-things and the tall, thin creatures she would come to know as elves had been nice and comfortable, and reminded her of her time in Tanaan, but the elves soon chased her out when they had found her. They were at least nicer in letting her leave than the little orcs in the desert had been when she didn't want to work for them anymore.

Rava had come to be wary of pretty much everybody on this world, but she had learned how to hide long ago when her clanmates in the Burning Blade had played with her for being slow-witted. She looked up at the strange, fanged fliers with pointy tails that called these red rocks home and couldn't help but long for those simple days again. Her clanmates had not been friendly to her, even her family did not enjoy speaking with her, but it was nice to have a place in the world.

This new world though was huge and strange in ways Rava simply did not understand. There were so many animals yet so few of them had spikes on them, and those that did left festering, gangrenous wounds that killed their prey from within. The peoples of the world fought constantly with one-another, but not as the Clans had fought. There was no honour here. The tall things with the skin of shaved pigs built towering white fortresses that affronted the world around them, whereas the elves built in places so hard to see or reach Rava had learned there was never a time where she could see them that they were not in turn watching her.

The green orcs that lived to the eastern coast were somewhat more familiar, however what her clanmates had told her of these strange demon-drinking orcs made her warier of them than even of the elves. Rava had initially been doubtful but after having seen the way they had carved wounds into the grasslands of their home and the sickly dark towers that loomed warlike overhead she realised even the orcs of this world were beyond her understanding.

So Rava would continue as she began. Wandering and running and hiding and surviving. For what else was there in this world for her to do?

Summary:

Rava still mistakenly considers herself to be a member of the Burning Blade clan of Draenor, though she was never really accepted owing to her slow-witted nature and were glad to be rid of her, abandoning her on Azeroth during her adolescence. Over the years of her wandering across Azeroth Rava has hidden from the world and cared for herself, but soft-hearted as she is she has always provided succour to animals or travellers in need. In her years of running Rava has gained allies she herself is unaware of. At times when she has been lostthe wind has guided her to safety, and at least once as she fled through the night from elves she has stepped across a river as though it was solid earth, though in the darkness she did not realise until much later. Rava has yet to realise her potential, attributing these strange occurrences to the confusing nature of this alien world.

Having lived outside of Orcish culture for so long, and having been somewhat ostracised from it before that, Rava has much to learn if she is ever to fit in on Azeroth.
