Tell us something about your (role)playing experience:
I’ve been RP’ing for about 15 years , both offline and online.  Online my experience is mostly centered around Cyberpunk Moo’s (Sindome).  Offline i have experience with Larp and tabletop (d&d , shadowrun, werewolf and deadlands).  Although I love the Warcraft lore (I own a Frostmourne and Doomhammer), I’ve never really RP’ed in Wow.  After being convinced by a few friends that it was really great , I decided to roll a character and check out what the fuss is all about.

And finally, please write a short story and/or IC introduction about your character:

The snowstorm slowly started to settle after having pounded Icecrown. Still the orcs stayed close around the campfire. It would be certain death to stray from the fire.  In the years after the invasion of Northrend, the undead threat had become less and less dire, but that didn’t mean they threat was not still real.

None the less , the orcs were in good spirits.  They sat around the camp fire and told stories.  Stories of their beautifull wife back home.  Stories of home, stories of their greatest exploits and stories of their future endeavours.  Stories to pass the time until the rotated out of this hellhole and were sent back home. Many rumors were told about the invasion of the iron horde.  Rumors off strange portals opening up and Orcs fighting orcs.  They were all eager to get back home.  All , except one.

One of the orcs suddenly addressed one of the orcs staring at the fire; “Hey MogDakh.  So whats yer story ? why are you still here ? Did ya shank a commanders daughter o’ summat ?” A roar of laughter erupted around the fire from the orcs, save one.
Mogdakh looked up from the fire , scowled at the orc that raised the question before responding in kind; ”Well Zugrak, I’m just here to keep yer blade sharp in the hope you forget what the sharp end is and save us all the trouble.” Again a roar of laughter erupted from the orcs.  They knew the threat was an idle one.  No orc in his right mind would turn on his brother in arms , especially in an environment like this.

Zugrak waited for the laughter to die down before feigning being hurt by the threat and once again addressing Mogdakh : “Fair enuff ,but what is yer story. You’ve been here longer than most of us and this ain’t exactly a picknick.  You could be out to Pandaria or defending home.”

Mogdakh let out a small sigh , as if giving up in defeat ; “Fine. Ya won’t stop houndin’ me anyways and it might as well pass the time.  If ya must know , my tribe used to be part of the Warsong Clan.  They were a proud bunch, even when they survived in the interment camps. I was born and raised inside those camps.” “I dun know how much of you were from those camps.  But life was harsh during those days. Food was hard to come by and anything you did would result in a beating or worse.”

A few nods came from the orcs around the campfire.

Mogdakh let the moment sink in before continuing; ”So when the opportunity came to escape , everybody turned against the guards in the hope of making it out of that place alive. It was as if ‘bout every orc decided to bash a guards skull in at the same time. I was nine I think and fer the first time I finally saw our brothers standing proud. Like so many , we spent countless days hidin’ and fighting after breakin’ out. My tribe learned about Kalimdor and with the help of a few other tribes , we managed to … acquire a few ships and make our way to there.  We learned that the tribes had united themselves into the horde and that’s how my tribe ended up in the barrens.”

Mogdakh turned away from the orcs and stared back at the fire for a moment hoping the other orcs would be content with that story and returning back to their rumours

And they almost did , before Zugrak piped up again ;”That’s all fine an’ such , but ya still ain’t told us why ya are still here.”
Mogdakh once again looked up from the fire and stared at Zugrak. He thought for a moment and said :”Fair enuff. My tribe thrived in the barrens. I learned how to fight on this plains. I learned how to wield swords and armor.  I was learned how to make those swords and armor before I was finally allowed to join the rest of the horde on the expedition to Northrend."

"I was ‘bout 20 when that happened. Ever since we set foot on the ground , we’ve been fighting undead tooth an’ nail.  Eventually, the hordes of the undead stopped coming.  An’ sum higher up , probably the warchief decided the imminent threat of the undead ain’t so much a threat anymore. Most of the horde and my tribe went back home.  I decided to stick around an’ help keep our outposts here safe. I pretty much volunteered so the rest of my tribe could go home.”
“It was about half a year later when I received news back home. The rumors were already flyin’ all over the place. A giant dragon flyin’ across the land , scorching anythin’ in sight. An’ that giant dragon had decided to torch the barrens.”

Silence slowly descended around the campfire whilst MogDakh was lost in thought , staring at the fire. He did not look up when he continued his story , his eyes fixed on the fire. “That giant dragon had torched the Barrens , including many the those living there.  Including my tribe.  In one fell swoop , I was the last remainin’ member of my tribe. I had nothin’ to go back to.  I still ain’t got nuttin’ to go back to. This is my home now Zugrak.”

The silence once again descended upon the campfire , most of the orcs transfixed on the fire , lost in thought.  It was , strangely enough , Mogdakh to break the silence.  â€œBut yer right.  I’ve been here long enough in this white hell.  If I stay here , I’m gunna end up on the wrong end of sum undead blade.  And I ain’t exactly waitin’ for an end being sum frozen corpse.  In a few weeks time , I’m rotatin’ outta hear.  I’m goin’ back to Durotar and help with the protection against the iron horde invasion. Either on my own or with sum new tribe.”
