It's really been the best couple of years, ever since I caught Akesha by the Battlemasters and probably cost her a game of AV or something, for an interview with little Kags :3 All the fights against the dwarves, all the city raids, all the intense Covenant WPvP, and all the meetings and intrigue and campfire RP were the best times I've had in the game.

So special thanks to Akesha for building the thing in the first place, to all the previous officers for holding it together, to Koz for doing the most incredible work with RP and PvP, to Moggy and the others for all the Darkwolves fun, and most importantly to all of the people that made my time in ORB so enjoyable with their humour, and readiness to dive in and lend a hand wherever they could.

But I feel it's time for me to move on to new things. Thanks for the opportunities, all, and I hope we don't all end up too disliked by the lot of you :3 The Blades are going to carry on shining, and I wish you all the best of luck for the future.

Strength and Honour and all that! Catch you around.

What Draks said.  We can take loans too but are subject to the same terms as anyone else. If you see an officer take out a ton of cash and not pay it back after the allowed length of time then go ahead and bring it up, and it'll be sorted out.

It's come to my attention over the last few days that a number of people don't seem to fully understand how the guild bank system is run, so consider this a handy must-read guide as to how the thing works.

Equipment, Materials, and Other Items

This system is simple. If it'd be useful to someone, you don't need it, and can do without making cash off it at the Auction House, throw it in the bank. That way, whoever's in need of [Iron Ore], [Small Red Goose] or [Flaming Lunchbox of the Eagle] can pluck it out and start doing things with it. Don't feel guilty. The item bank is there for you to plunder (within the withdrawable stack limits, naturally :<)

Cash

Right, here's where the confusion needs dispelling. The guild bank's money is not just there to cover repairs. Any orc of rank Oathbound or above may request a loan of up to 500g that is to be paid back within 2 weeks. For loans in excess of 300g, half must be paid within 1 week, in order to ensure that the guild bank is not stripped completely bare.

You may also request any officer for a sum of money to cover level 40 mounts, tabards, or RP armour that is not monstrously expensive. This need not be paid back into the bank.

The Bottom Line

Don't hesitate in contacting Drakash, Tirnak or myself in requesting money from the guild bank. We are all very happy to lend out the cash but this must be met with responsibility from your side as well: Pay back promptly, and in full. Do not take out money that you know you will not be able to pay back. If disaster strikes and you are suddenly unable to pay back the cash on time, then bring it up with us, and be honest. We do not want people slinking away from the tribe after silly internet-money drama.

That's about it. Fire away, beneath with any questions you may have. Cheers!

Game Related / [INTEREST CHECK] Outland Campaigns
July 05, 2008, 08:08:54 PM
I've had a little idea knocking around in my head for awhile now and just thought I'd check to see if there's sufficient interest to make it worthwhile.

Personally, I've plenty of group quests left lingering in my log that I never really felt the need to get done, and don't really want to endure waiting around in whichever zone mashing a 'LFG!!' into General. Some of you lot might well have the same. And at the same time there's a distinct lack of Outland-based RP, which is a shame given there are so many rich environments and opportunities for us there.

So, the idea. One night a week we can put aside for a campaign in zone X, allowing us to do a bit of RP, and finishing off all the big elite things that've been so smugly not-dead for so long. Of course, if there isn't enough to do PvEwise we can spread a little mayhem to the closest Alliance outposts.

We'll hopefully be expanding raids into Outland a little more, in general (of course not at the expense of Azeroth-based ones- fear not, lowbies!) but I was just wondering if it'd be worth it to many orcs to integrate a little bit of casual PvE into the equation on a regular basis.

Post away with opinions and such! And if you just want straight RPPvP then say so! Don't want to get anything going that people aren't going to enjoy. Cheers!

*VAGUELY SPOILERY BUT PRETTY COOL ANYWAY*

Looks like we'll have some proper world-changing events that'll actually have an impact on orcish RP. And perhaps a better designed New Orgrimmar as a result! Whee! :3

Yar, be grunts all you want but expect to have Kagmosh looking down on you and thinking how best you can be positioned to serve as a nice safe, meaty wall that'll get all diced up for him and not ask questions.

Interested parties enquire within! :3

((Thanks to a grand total of 4 orcs being about tonight, we took a detour and squished Astranaar, that terrible little thing in Azshara, and that slightly less squishy town in Winterspring.

The real event'll be happening again next week, same time, same place, but with a whole load more orcs. Please? :3 ))

Orcs! Enough lazing around, and enough drinking games! It's time to get back on a war footing! It's been far too long since we last marched upon the putrid Draenei infestation of our world, and so that is where we shall start again!

So, at the peak of summer, with the elements raging and volatile I believe we have a chance to sever the blue-skins' meddling with our spirits. By the end of the night the Exodar will be engulfed in the raging midsummer flames! We'll meet at the Zoram Strand at 8 in the evening.

Be there, Blades!

((Figured it'd be a plan to get back into the swing of WPvP a little bit, and the Midsummer events provide as nice a backdrop as any! 20:00 at the Zoram Strand! Hope to see a lot of you come along!

P.S. Warlocks needed for the night's schemes :<))
