Title: Festival of the Light (5/9)
Post by: Kozgugore on August 30, 2009, 01:18:40 PM
Across the two worlds, Azeroth and Draenor alike, posters and letters have begun to emerge with alarming frequency and little regards to people's privacy, appearing in such masses that avoiding them is an almost impossible feat.

Yet these are not crudely written advertisments explaining the benefits of investments, no. Printed on fine paper superimposed with the iconography of the Sha'tar, with clear ink forming elegant handwriting along the lines, and images of sacred symbols imprinted between the rows of text.

Printed in every language spoken on the twin worlds, the various pamhplets and posters spread across the cities and hung along the hillsides and trees of the countryside all speak of the same thing; The Festival of the Light.

Described as a celebration of the Burning Legion's defeat, the Festival of the Light is written to be held in the sacred Temple-City of Shattrath, the fifth day of the ninth month of the Azerothian calendar, calling all and everyone to the city's safe-haven to celebrate and reminisce over the times when the Horde of Kalimdor and the Grand Alliance stood alongside one-another.

Set to commence at sunset, the Festival will celebrate all that is holy and all that is good, wether it stands in the Light or as the will of the Ancestors, and promises fresh food and strong spirits to go with the spectacular lightshows that will highlight the evening!

The Festival of the Light is a Roleplaying event arranged the 5th of September (Saturday) and set to begin at 18:00, and end whenever it runs out of steam. The intended effect is to bring roleplayers that do not normally interact together to explore fresh perspectives, as well as simply bring life back into a very pretty looking location.

Everyone interested is invited, as the event's nature implies. I hope to make it a relevant get-together for the various Roleplaying guilds that inhabit the server but rarely interact. The location (Shattrath) has been chosen to provide a somewhat neutral ground and find a place where anyone, regardless of level, can attend. Of course for this reason, Mages will be arranged to conjure portals in some of the major cities for easy access.

I look forward to welcoming you all into the Light's fold!
