Orcs! The MacCyr Solutions have turned to us again to escort their caravan through Ashenvale for much needed parts and supplies for the Warsong clan!
This caravan should be waiting for us at the eighth horn at the Zoram Strand, ninth day of the next month, the beach west of Ashenvale, and we will need to escort them to the gates of the barrens, then finally to the Warsong lumber camps to the west.
This doesn't mean we start killing off the elfies on sight, nor their settlements!
We'll first need to get their caravan through Ashenvale before we get their sentinels after us, I've been given a map with the route we'll use, these have proven to be safest and most reliable according to their undead leader.
They pay handsomely and we do the Horde good by helping this caravan! I will be in Thrallmar at the day but do NOT mess this up! Lumber has been in high demand and their shredders have been broken for some time now!

((Highfist and I have been organising an ashenvale event, escorting the MacCyr Solutions crew! But this time it won't be a boring lonesome walk though! Expect some alliance to bite.
We'll begin at 20:00 at the Zoram Strand with the MacCyr Solutions crew, there will be some rules to this little game though! I will post the rules on the day of the event itself, you'll need both your RP and your PvP gear.))
((Note that the event on the 2nd of August has been removed.))

Eh... I'd like to ask people to start posting if you're going to attend or not, so I have somesort of measure of people attending, seems Nature's Grasp has around a dozen now or something.

It's a PvP event for any level, as little as you may do damage, things like your slowing totems, interrupting shocks and all of that ARE of great use, I do ask everyone of both the orcs and the elves to attack high levels before low levels though.

I'd like to ask everyone participating to be around at 19:45 for further balancing rules and preparations. Please keep in mind that we are running this with two other guilds and we all need to be on time and work together to make this fun.
The basic rules that are set:
If you fight you fight at the caravan, the backside is ours so we may resurect and properly regain health, they got the front. DO NOT ENGAGE ON THEIR AREA, this is to prevent corpse camping and whatnot.
Please attack the high levels first, so that the lowbies have a chance at having a bit of fun.
AoE damaging abilities are banned on their side to prevent MacCyr Solutions crew from dying, I ask you to do the same thing and not to use any damaging AoE.
Please follow my (Nirokan's) instructions on wearing your PvP or RP gear, they do the same so we can balance the sides, it's no fun at all for non-70's to be facing someone in arena-I-don't-give-a-damn-what-season.
Follow my instructions and do not deviate from it!
Hope to see you all up for some RPPvP, remember it's for ANY level! They'll bring some cubs just aswell.

Thank you both Highfist and Mhokdor for organising this event, it was interesting! *fumbles through tons of papers *. Hum, what did I learn? A more active and optimistic attitude would be welcome, after all summer pudding what means one breaking a rule, not worth to let it spoil our mood.
* fumbles more and more desperately through papers * the rest has said I guess or it is too early in the morning for me to focus.
Anyway, with a little more control over rulebreakers and a little less whining on our side the next event will be great!
PS: And I did not say summer pudding, I said summer pudding!

most of the work was done by mhok on this one, but i did learn a thing or two about putting together a Rp event.
what was the point in the end of the day.
anyway, i though that for a first time we cant complain.
it will get better next time, with more strick conditions around braking the rules will solve most of the problems we faced.
also, look at the things that did went well, like the capture of traders we lost, and refound later on.
i thought that was rather cool.
thanks for those that came, and i hope i will see all of you on the next event!

Aye. For a first time try at organizing the event, it went just fine. It does still leave room for improvement, but that will come with time. Just learn and move on. And sooner or later it'll get really awesome - at least it did when I organized stuff. :)

Well I liked organising the event, but it's not just me'n Highfist that worked on this, although Lirrin can not read this post she definately deserved a "Thank ye" (Or at least a "We won't gank you for once" card)
Expect moar, elfies seem interested!
(And yarr, improvements were discussed with Lirrin and both agreed, whulubublabla)
