Title: Soundtracks
Post by: Kogra Windwatcher on February 03, 2016, 01:39:02 PM
Heyo  tribe,

I am looking to expand my library of ambient music for my dungeons and dragons group. I am looking for soundtracks that don't use any vocals or are too present, think through barrens music.
Usually rpgs have great music for this, so my question is; Does anyone know some rpg or awesome soundtrack that I could use?

At this moment I use soundtracks from:
-Wow
-Dragon age
-Darkest dungeon
-Pillars of eternity
-Fable
-Skyrim
-Two Steps From Hel  (I tend to avoid these are they are bit too present)
-Neverwinter Nights
-Warcraft 2 and 3
Dragon's Dogma

If you think there might be more awesome tracks out there, do let me know please :)

Probably a bit in the same vein of "too present" as Two Steps, but what about Final Fantasy soundtracks?

Or perhaps the Kingdom Hearts ones?

Or the Fate series soundtracks? Fate/Stay Night, Fate/Zero, Fate/Unlimited Blade Works

Eve online has a really good soundtrack, if your looking for a spacey electro sounds rather than fantasy sounds. i normally have it on during my tabletop shadowrun sessions.

Dark Souls have some great music. There is some vocals, but more operatic than anything so it's unlikely to drag people out, if placed correctly and not at a high volume.
