Contact Us / Re: This may seem a little odd....
April 23, 2009, 08:42:20 PM
(( Hello there!
Your idea sounds good indeed, and a little human bashing, ehm, human ... encountering, sounds good as well.
We are definitely active and interested in RP-WPvP, having even recently both WPvP as well as RP with the Alliance, and more is in the workings. However, the "aura" of orcs may be a bit misleading here: WPvP is not such a big part of our events as it may eventually seem. We have many other kinds of events, and sometimes it simply doesn't happen to insert among them WPvP as well, for weeks or months perhaps. We are a RP guild, and WPvP is just a part of what we do.
Moreover, this activity in RP WPvP was not without IC reasons and results of the kind you suggest: we have a quite constant "enemy" guild in the Kingdom of Arathor for a while now, and actually others as well. That is not to say we wouldn't welcome yet another, on the contrary!
Rather, please feel free to use my messenger address that I'm sending you in a private message, and give me a poke anytime for a little chat. Thank you! ))

Odds & Ends / Re: Records of the Tribe, Hammerfall.
April 23, 2009, 04:38:54 AM
April 22th.
The tournament of the Blades
The tournament's winner is Greh'gar. A small number of fights, there were, but each and every one of them was a close one. Even the kid could not be stopped from trying, and a very good try it was. Too bad Maz did not, but she said something... I should talk to her.

The alliance prisoners
Tonight there were much more things happening than the tournament. While scouting around Hammerfall, the orcs, together with one of those knights of Ebon Hold, found a few Alliance, two humans and a dwarf, and took them prisoners. Then, they made each of the humans accept the challenge of an orc, for a fair fight. They were given their weapons back and all, but had to fight for their lives for a change. They were defeated, though one must admit they did not prove such bad opponents as their apparent cowardliness seemed to indicate.
Nobody challenged the dwarf, though, who seemed dizzy and uncommunicative most of the time, and did not seem to be worth it. It is not known why, but it is not hard to guess, given that he was a dwarf.
The prisoners were then carried near Refuge Pointe, and left there.

Strom-Garde
Afterwards, Gnash apparently went to city said of Strom, in a warrior's fury for some reason, and defiantly planted a war banner in front of its gate, calling for war and whatnot. He was attacked, though he acted like a messenger, and taken prisoner himself. Along with him, an elf was also taken into custody, and by the sound of it, he must be Captain, the thief who had a broken leg some time ago.
The thieves already started to be a pain in the back of the orcs, trying, in a most impolite way, to push us to react "immediately", and make them part of it. Patience is a virtue, yes, but not one they seem to understand.

The former queen

There are good news as well... or well, not so new, but good nonetheless. We continue to have custody of Saihna, the former queen of the so-called "kingdom of Arathor". Moreover, by the looks of it, the troll high priest managed to talk to her. In troll, though, which makes the whole story... not the easiest to trust. However, I must admit her behavior is strange anyway, in the eyes of an orc: she seems to have been beaten and generally treated badly, however, she seems to trust rather the troll than us, who came to help her. I mean, some orcs were a little more aggressive in the beginning, but then, we tried to heal her, so, one would expect a little calm at least.

Odds & Ends / Records of the Tribe, Hammerfall.

Norvis stands up, at the little table in Hammerfall inn where he was writing, with a new decision in his eyes. It was late at night and the orc was tired. He grabs the little blue booklet he had been writing in, and checks the pages, taking off a couple of them. He then goes down, and gives them to the big Tauren innkeeper, to have them handed over to each orc for reading. Or, for him to read to them, as case may be.

(( This thread will let every orc know of the current developments in Arathi. I will start soon enough. We have already a number of things happening, making the IC context interesting, but we should also keep them in mind to help every orc choose his side, or series of events, as you happen to be interested in! ))

Event Planning / New Bloods training (25/04)
April 23, 2009, 02:47:21 AM
We are in Hammerfall for a while now, and we saw more than one new blood taking care of his duties in this war to the best of his abilities. That is very encouraging of course, and I would be the last to deny it. However, we all know how difficult it must be for any orc to properly find his place into the Tribe, and that of course applies to any of us. I am certain many orcs still have questions, or simply can benefit from a story or two, as it stands.
You be all invited then on the 25th day of the month, in Hammerfall, on the northern side of the inn, for a campfire and an open discussion. Be it new blood or not, any orc is welcome. We may make sure that given the proper time, a few orcs may have a surprise as well.

(( Saturday April 25th, 18:00
    Hammerfall, Arathi.
We might have a lot of surprises in fact, at the time of the event as well as these days until then, as the IC plots keep evolving at a quick rate by the looks of it! But we also need orcs be prepared for them *winks* ))

(( And Greggar is the new Blademaster, not for the first time! Congratulations! And perhaps the next Tournament will give his competitors, very good competitors!, a chance to change this ;)

Oh, and great job with them humans challengers, Stormchild and Gnash ! ))

(( The main tournament will consist of one-to-one battles, in which:
- RP gear is hightly encouraged, specially in fights with non-80s.
- All kinds of equipment, including engineering trinkets will be allowed.
- No potions, no buff except you own class buff.s, should be used.

The winner gets an Alliance prisoner or two, to fight or otherwise benefit from! I hear orcs would be more interested in slaves! I wonder though, a good old fashioned fight, in which the prisoners get fair chances, of course, wouldn't it be more orcish? ;)
))

(( Please note that the event was postponed a little, to allow more orcs to join in!
We meet in Hammerfall, and find our way from there. We might have a few surprises for orcs as well. ))

Cheers, a lot of stuff in mail went your way!
*drools at the mail*
*is 78 and a third!*

PS for Nergie: I object, it is enhancement shaman gear! *mumbles something about hunterloot*
(actually it's exactly the starting pvp hunter set, but hey, it seems that blizz considers shaman set one obviously suitable only for healing and eventually elemental)

Can you by any chance make Swiftarrow Battlegear, that is

[wowitem]Swiftarrow Belt[/wowitem]
[wowitem]Swiftarrow Boots[/wowitem]
[wowitem]Swiftarrow Bracers[/wowitem]
[wowitem]Swiftarrow Gauntlets[/wowitem]
[wowitem]Swiftarrow Hauberk[/wowitem]
[wowitem]Swiftarrow Leggings[/wowitem]
[wowitem]Swiftarrow Belt[/wowitem]
[wowitem]Swiftarrow Shoulderguards[/wowitem]

Me has many things like heavy leathers and leather scraps and all that, which might make the materials for all these. All the set except helm, that is. Thank you!
It'd be great and me needs it quite quickly, as will be 78 tomorrows!

...Really.

Oh well. Work at home for a long time now, with two monitors... These statistics consider all the time you are logged in, not necessarily doing something. But still, it must be wrong, I say.

Please try "Profile", and there, on the left bar, under Profile Info, you can find "show stats". It'll say a number of things, starting with this information. ;)
